I remember watching, 'One Small Step,' a couple of years ago. It is hands down one of the most inspiring things for me. To anyone out there, who knows the Pain of losing a Father, a family member. Please, don't let pain consume you all the time. I lost my Dad 2 years ago and it nearly destroyed me. He was like the Sun of my entire world with an infectious, larger than Life presence. Letting go has never been easy. The hardest part of ending is Starting Again. Remember to breathe. You're only human. Remember that there will always be a piece of them in You, always! Be grateful for the moments you had with them. And, Wherever they may be in the Universe, known or Unknown, send them Love. :') It's okay...You're okay. Kudos to each and every person who was involved in making 'One Small Step,🫡☺️
You should consider yourself lucky cause i barely have any memories on my father. My parents got divorced when i was a small child and i barely knew my dad from that day. I had a lot of school work and i had no time to go to his house always. He also had a lot of work lets just say he was pretty financialy stable so he worked 24/7 because he got obssesed with money… So from that day i rarely even talked to him and we are every day forgeting about each other. He started to acuse me that i never loved him one day because i had no time to see him and thats how we split.
@@Idontknow-xxxx It's so sad Friend, I have a bad family. My mom, dad, sisters and brother are really bad. I don't talk to my father and mother, they hated me and I really have no memories with my father. They are always angry and have great hatred, in fact I have no memories with my mother. I even have bad memories. I only have one memory with my sister but only one and it is about love, I cry when I remember it. But she hated me because when she married a bad man, she was really angry and had a lot of hatred. Also my dad and mom didn't help her because they doesn't really like her and the other kids. Sometimes I wonder if such things could happen again, but there are times when it seems so far away to me, I will only remember what it means to have a real mother and father with that one memory. People like us feel the pain very easily
I like how the grave scene wasn’t guilt-inducing like it is in some other animations It wasn’t like “oh she should’ve shown she loved him more” cos she was trying to get somewhere in her life and he was supporting her Even tho she was busy and away for most of the time it was very clear to both of them that she loved him as much as he loved her He didn’t feel bad that she didn’t spend much time with him, he just wanted her to succeed and only felt bad at how tiring it got for her This animation was nice Edit: typo
One of the greatest short films I have ever seen in my life. It teaches you that even if you have everything taken away from you, it dosen't mean that the world wants you to fail, it means that the world wants you to know that your loved ones will always watch over you and that you should never give up on something you have always dreamed for.
The animation was so fluid and filled with so many details, the shots were amazing and the colors used really triggered emotions. This is one of my fav animations this year. Well done!

This is first thing that I have actually cried for on UA-cam. Not the shorts that promise you would cry, not the sad videos on the news, but this. It’s heartbreaking to know how the father cared as she grew, despite her growing more ignorant and careless. This video is tear worthy. You have earned a subscriber.
I watched this many times and still cry. This is the best film ever. It still has a great message. Never give up on your dreams. No matter what obstacles you face
i started crying when she came home and didnt see her father, the light wasnt on. My favorite part is the moment she saw her old shoes and these astronaut boots. Its so beautiful how she managed to overcome her father death and pursue her dream. This is so beautiful and helps me realise how careless and arrogant i am sometimes to my parents and how lazy ,demotived i am! I LEARNT MY LESSON TODAY! thank you who created this masterpiece!

Wow wow wow.. I especially love how they use the contrast brightness and color to portray the emotion conveyed ...it brought to my knees ..this is good.....I mean great
I cried. I'll just come out and say it. When the dad died, I broke out in tears because you don't realize how important your loved ones are until they're gone. And to have your dreams crushed right before that? So sad. Beautiful animation though!
I first saw this when I was younger, and I rewatched it just now.. I start to resonate with the characters more deeply than before...You never realize how much you love someone before you lose it. Such a powerful animation!
This was so good and touching. The animation was really fluid and I liked how it didn’t just focus on the idealistic part of dreaming as a child but also the harsh realities that come with it. This had a positive and optimistic ending but reality can be different for different ppl bc even if you overcome your hardships and come close to it, you may not exactly achieve your dreams that you had when you were a child.
Yeah and that ‘not being able to make our childhood dreams come true' shouldn't stop us from dreaming always! Because Dreams do come true one day in our lives, even if it snatches away countless peaceful nights' sleep previously...
ya im still a child and wen i want to grow up i want to work at a lego factry and make lego sets and i aso want t work with babies in the nursry in hspital and i do want to be a surgen cuz i like lerning about the body but that may not work :/ btw im on my dads account
I thought she was going to become a shoe maker like her dad, to give other people the same joy she felt for what he did for her. Even if it wasn't a rocket through outer space, it would still be something to make life worth while. But I'm glad she tried again!
My father died a few weeks ago and he told me and encouraged me to follow my dreams and that’s exactly what I’m going to do until I get to where I want to be
those are my favorite types of films. the ones that can convey so much without having to tell you with words (this is why wall-e is one of my favorites, the main characters don't say a single word in the first half)
It's also way more common in video games than movies and the like. With movies, it might look cheap to have it look kinda 3d instead of having people draw frames (plus less need to understand things in terms of 3 dimensions and better opportunity for effects like gonk). With video games, it is absolutely impossible to draw everything that could possibly happen in a 3d plane, so cel shading may be used to make it look 2d. Exceptions would include 2d games using sprites or cutscenes.
Two themes come to mind: Achieve your dreams with support of others and never give up Also spend time with your love ones and never take them for granted
She didn't take her father for granted. She was just so busy and depressed with her grades and abilities that she didn't notice how distant she got from her father.
Most every Child will eventually have that day, when they lose someone they love. Hopefully it inspires them and drives them. I almost lost my father to a heart condition, so I had to stay home. But I've been bettering myself with this time. I'm glad I got a second chance.
I can’t express myself. There are millions of words in English, but even them are not enough to say, how perfect is. Thank you for giving this masterpiece to me
@@Quantum_Beyblados i dont think you get it, this masterpeice is so perfect, not a single language can describe it, if you can prove me other wise then please do
Well, to be fair - expressing yourself in a different language is easier sometimes. The words don’t hold the same emotional value as the ones in your mother tongue do. Especially talking about emotional things like this movie in other languages IS easier. That said, sometimes you can say things with a picture that a thousand words couldn’t convey. This animation is a perfect example of that situation. Even the most genius of writers would probably have had trouble putting a story like this into words. Some stories are made to be written, others, to be shown.
Its to late for some of us😟 But i agree, please please please, love your parents, because one day they arent going to be here anymore and you wont be able to ask them things ect. The first thing you forget is their voices, then slowly their faces, and you try so hard not to forget, but you can't help it.
This was very moving. Sometimes the path to our dreams isn't easy and we lose hope. We get so lost in self pity that we take for granted the people who were always there to encourage us. Then when we finally realize what's happening, they're gone. This definitely hit home. Thank you.
I remember when this came out, I got to meet the creators. They hand painted a lot the art before it was made into this animation! Had to work on it for over a year before it got out though. Amazing short film.💕
I think one of the lessons in this movie is that you don’t realize how important your loved ones are until you lose them. Just like with anything you don’t learn to appreciate until you lose it.
When the dad died i started crying, she never got to say goodbye or tell him she loved her before he was gone, that's the scariest thing about life you'll never know when you lose your family. Spend time with your family while you can
Really I This brings tears in my eyes..What an animation 💘💘It was really Really Awesome... I am still crying 💘💘 If you Try hard your Dream will come true one day :)
AnimeFanatic TotallyNotAFujoshi *_oH mY GOd jUsT StOp aNd sHUt tHe fUcK uP_* Why is it that whenever anyone says something nice someone just _has_ to shit on them? Jesus Christ, would it kill you to not say something negative or bitchy for _one_ minute?
This...has got to be the most beautiful, yet heartbreaking animation I have ever seen. How have you not been hired by Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks?! This is just...amazing. Great job and I hope you achieve greatness in this wonderful field of animation.
This is what people go through everyday I bet... life is filled with rejections but there's only one way to accomplish what you desire. This is so reliable for me even though I still haven't taken that "One Small Step" in my life yet.
@@jennychiem5807 That's just how life works... but I promise you that things will look up sooner or later for you. I haven't taken any either and I've been feeling the same way... but things will look up.
You are probably still young, I just turned 72, there is so much to look forward to, There is also much bad in the world today,I wish we had Good leaders, but you will get that step taken when you are ready, I believe in you.
Even though Luna didn’t always show how much her father meant to her later on, you could tell she really appreciated him. Sometimes we can get so lost focusing on one dream that we forget the important things in life, but that doesn’t mean we love someone any less. Always show how much you care to your loved ones because time is precious. What a beautiful theme.
When the dad died, I started crying. And every little moment afterwards just kept making me cry. Never take your family for granted. Also, I have a soft spot for old shoemakers.
The dad kinda reminded me of the person/father of Pinocio (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it) the dude with the long nose- he was a shoe maker before that, very poor as well. Kinda like this.
TetaGama Gaming yes its possible but we have to work even harder and focus more on gaining knowledge and studying and gaining experience and less on physical exercise...

That moment when she landed on the moon and remembered herself running into her father's arms wearing the shoes he gifted her! It just wrecked my heart inside out! 😭😭
It was a pretty emotional moment that I could never expect over which I'd shed tears like a baby boy! Every single scene hit the right spot in my heart because it reminded me of my little girl who I haven't seen for a couple of years since I & her mother separated. Day & night I wonder how Madeleine looks like now. I wish I'd be able to see her as soon as possible. Hats off to all mothers & fathers on earth! ✊💙

I want this to be a movie too! XD
From Netflix
👍

What I loved about this is a reminder for us all. Obstacles and calamities may confront us, but don’t be disheartened. Keep striving for your dreams.
things i love about this:
1. The story.
2. The art style.
3. The message the animation gives.
4. Everything else.

those are my favorite types of films. the ones that can convey so much without having to tell you with words (this is why wall-e is one of my favorites, the main characters don't say a single word in the first half)
Indeed

Its 3D but kinda looks like 2D
This is the best thing ever
WHY ISNT EVERY 3D ANIMATED MOVIE LIKE THIS
The whole “3d but looks kinda 2d” is known as “cel shading.” This is some of the best cel shading I have ever seen.
It's A New Animation Creator, Some Like 2,5 D
eastern asians more often use this animation styles, not westerners
It's also way more common in video games than movies and the like. With movies, it might look cheap to have it look kinda 3d instead of having people draw frames (plus less need to understand things in terms of 3 dimensions and better opportunity for effects like gonk). With video games, it is absolutely impossible to draw everything that could possibly happen in a 3d plane, so cel shading may be used to make it look 2d. Exceptions would include 2d games using sprites or cutscenes.
this is the best example of how success comes after failure
Two themes come to mind:
Achieve your dreams with support of others and never give up
Also spend time with your love ones and never take them for granted
She didn't take her father for granted. She was just so busy and depressed with her grades and abilities that she didn't notice how distant she got from her father.

I can’t express myself. There are millions of words in English, but even them are not enough to say, how perfect is. Thank you for giving this masterpiece to me
So you can learn a new langugae. Maybe you can find the right word in a different language. (I understood the topic you've pointed)
Lol😂😂

This was very moving. Sometimes the path to our dreams isn't easy and we lose hope. We get so lost in self pity that we take for granted the people who were always there to encourage us. Then when we finally realize what's happening, they're gone. This definitely hit home. Thank you.

I was already in my feelings and I was looking for a bright animation to cheer me up, this made me cry, but it felt good.
I remember when this came out, I got to meet the creators. They hand painted a lot the art before it was made into this animation! Had to work on it for over a year before it got out though. Amazing short film.💕

I think one of the lessons in this movie is that you don’t realize how important your loved ones are until you lose them.

Even though Luna didn’t always show how much her father meant to her later on, you could tell she really appreciated him.
