You have a very unique and eloquent way of explaining complicated concepts! Not to mention the fact that your lectures are very focused and to the point. I am not enjoying studying for my advanced solid state exam but this video was very, very enjoyable - mainly because your explanation has cleared up much confusion for me! Thank you very much for this video!
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Jerry Mekhi thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The best lecture about Bloch Theorem I've ever attended. I'm very glad becasue of Rampi. I'm very fortunate of having found this tutorial. Rampi you're the fucking boss
Thanks for the lecture - very useful. One question: why is it not written u_k(r, k)? i.e. u written as an explicit function of k, if in general it is dependent upon the value of k?
This was the most relatable lecture in this topics...fed up of so many trash by IITS
Thanks so much for sharing 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! Really the most informing tutorial, out of many videos I saw on youtube.

Is is stricty correct to write u(r) with a subscript k? It seems to me is has no k dependence.
Yes, for each value of k, you will, in general, have a different periodic function u(r). This is why, u(r) contains a k subscript.
