AHHHHHHHHH! NEW SHOW! NEW SHOW! How excited are you guys for this???
About this much 🫸 🫷
I've been waiting for years lol
VERY
WE LIT BAYBEEEEE
You guys have no idea, samurai champloo is one of my top personal favourite
*Fun Fact:* The creator of the Boondocks even said that the fight scenes in the show were inspired from Samurai Champloo
Yeah there is a background character model after Jin, and the kickball episode is an homage to the Baseball episode
Any clue where I can find that background character? Hahaha@@oni4883
The fight in Samurai Champloo in the Bamboo forest is actually inspired by the 1993 film Ninja Scroll which has a similar fight, but does involve a blind swordsman.
Don't forget the Sasuke vs Orichimaru fight in the hateocracy
@@Nickleplate765 Ninja Scroll is classic.
Let’s fuckin go, Champloo is GOATed. Best anime of all time in my book. RIP Nujabes
Its my all time favorite.
@@adamthompson3456 same here, without question my favorite ever.
R.I.P Nujabes
@@meatywarrior6266 RIP to one of the GOATs
This makes me so incredibly happy that you guys are finally watching this. Your in for a real treat
I’m surprised Rana not here for this one since she did Cowboy Bebop
yeah Suraj, Chris and Rana are like smartest among the group same with Navi as well.
I would only trust those 4 to watch anime like Beastars, Violent Evergarden, Gundam, Psycho Pass etc.. and understand it and discuss it.
@@InugamiTheHounddon’t sleep on Spidey and Marketa
@@doneekdiggs1211 spidey is okay but Marketais really bad look at her takes on MHA, JJK, Code Geass.
@@InugamiTheHoundoh i thought you were joking 😭😭😭 suraj and rana ur tripping bro
@@lukas-nu7ls I am not tripping bro, Those 4 are the smarts ones.
Ohhhh shit! Samurai Shamploo has one of the best OP and Ending songs in anime. This hit when I was kid after watching Inyuasha or Detective Conan.
Also fun fact: The creator of the show for Boondocks really loved anime so they got their into music from Cowboy Beatbot and Samurai Shamploo
Hip hop and samurai what's not to love!
The soundtrack is a masterpiece 🤌🏿🔥
Holy crap, I did *NOT* expect this.
Welcome among our ranks, sunflower samurai.
*_You're gonna carry that weight._*
one of my favorite anime because of all the hip hop elements and how they implemented them
Oh, one of my all-time favorites. This is the show I would watch when bedridden.
By the creator of Cowboy Bebop. You guys are in safe hands
Such an under appreciated anime in my eyes but was one of my favourites back in the day
Nah it's very appreciated and very well rated too. Just underwatched
I NEVER HOPED THIS DAY WOULD COME! Well done.
I hope they one day react to Space Dandy
100% it's like the third piece of the trilogy and too many people sleep on it. Carole & Tuesday is a banger too- Thundercat & Denzel Curry play characters and also contribute music.
fiiinnnaalllllyyy i have been waiting for years, yesss
No way bro! After all these years. After all these endless years you finally did it 😭I remember asking for this in 2017 maybe even before lol.
Fun fact: The actors who voiced Mugen and Jin also voiced Zabuza and Kisame (2 of the 7 Swordsmen) from the Narutoverse. Steve Blum also voiced Orochimaru too.
YOOOOOO did not expect this! Easily a top 3 anime for me, so much nostalgia.
SAMURAI CHAMPLOOO RRRRRRERRRRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
fun fact: the soundtrack was helped created by a Japanese dj who went by Nujabes. who essentially help create a new genre of hip hop, Lofi. sadly he passed away in a car crash in 2010.
Always accepting of a reason to re-watch this masterpiece. cant wait to see all the reacts!
Avatar and The Boondocks BOTH were inspired by Samurai Champloo
Avatar was more inspired by FLCL
@@BushidoBrownSama and fma
I vaguely remembered scenes of this show way back then and I can say it's my jam
I hope The Normies watch Shogun to keep the samurai theme going
"I could listen to this on repeat while doing homework"
i understood that reference
Literally my favorite anime, ive been wanting someone to react to this forever
The amazing Samurai Champloo is one of my favorite animes. You guys are in for something special. Amazing choreography, great animation, chilIed hiphop, comedy and solid storytelling. I hope yall enjoy it
Ive been waiting years for this reaction 😭😭😭
The music! Brought me back in time 😅
YESSSSSS so happy you guys are watching this!
WOOOT! So glad you started this series! A personal favorite...looking forward to revisiting this with you. I'm confident that this is gonna be a hit with all'y'all. With Mugen...coming from Ryukyu is the same is announcing that you are lawless pirate. He is epitome of undisciplined self interest and wildness...he has no fear of death...and that makes him as deadly as someone more skilled and disciplined. Jin isn't really ronin...he is a disgraced dojo student that has broken with his teacher and dojo after years of perfecting his style. He may be a realist when it comes to survival, but he is intensely honorable, profoundly disciplined, and the perfect opposite of Mugen. Between is Fuu, naive, gentle, playful, and kind. Fire, Water and Earth...as mentioned in the opening song...Mugen, Jin and Fuu...the elements compose a magnum opus.
Fantastic show, enjoy the journey.
Holy shit, I had to double check when I saw the title. Y'all always watching shows when I'm broke and can't subscribe to the patreon for premium access because I'm impatient 😭😭😭 Still, happy to watch y'all watch this on UA-cam. Easily the most beautiful piece of media I've watched to date.
Mugen menace with the hands and blades and holder of the seat on the ROUNDTABLE OF BLACK AIRFORCE ENERGY
So pumped you're watching this!! One of my favorite shows ever - can't wait to enjoy the ride again 🙂
YEEES!!! the Journey begins... Can't wait to see it with yall ... The soundtrack of this anime is a GEM! Both OP and ED are top tier in anime history and the song "no vagrancy" of the fight of Jin and the other samurai is one of my favorites
Can't believe you guys are watching this! It's one of my personal favorites!
I have waited SO, SO long for this
The big thing about knights and samurai are that both of them were just "people who fought professionally" until *after* people stopped fighting constant wars all the time. Then the people in charge suddenly had a bunch of people whose sole marketable skill was to murder other people. Neither group was especially honorable, but once their only targets were their own civilians suddenly people in high positions decided that being a knight/samurai was all about honor and being civilized and not murdering all the peasants.
This is also part of why knights and samurai are both associated heavily with their backup weapons (one-handed swords and katana respectively) despite the fact that they'd rarely use those weapons on the battlefield: those are the weapons the common folk saw them walking around with in times of peace since polearms and heavier weapons and armor aren't something you walk around town in. It'd be like thinking a modern soldier's primary weapon is a handgun because that's what they carry in their civvies instead of a rifle.
Also the ronin version of a knight would be what's called a knight errant.
This is my all-time favorite anime series, I am so stoked to see you guys react!💯
Yeah, Samurai Champloo is a classic Dub!
Such a wild anime, enjoy the ride!
Omg this is amazing. Haven’t even watched the video yet but this is one of my all time favorite animes
WTF i just started watching this a few days ago and was saddened at the lack of reactions to it! excited for this
I love this show and I'm so happy you guys are watching it!!!
Ayyyy finally reacting to my favorite anime. Y'all are in for a treat! It'll also introduce you to my favorite artist, Nujabes (R.I.P.)
Just realised i still have the last episode to watch thanks for the reminder
Y'ALL DOING SAMURAI CHAMPLOO😁!!!I LOVE THE NORMIES!!!!!👍👍💯
oooh heck yeah! I've loved this show for years and NEVER seen anyone react to it!
Oh my god! This is what is was hoping for!
When life hands you lemons you don't forget the lemonade
But "when you're math is off for dumplings, looking back in philosophy from three different perspectives becomes well worth it..."
😮
IM SO EXCITED YOU GUYS ARE WATCHING THIS!!!!!!!
Tempestuous is storm like
Samurai Champloo is one of the greatest ever. Stories are great, music is great, perfection
YEsss I've been waiting for this one
this show is sooooooooo piff! I always put this on near bed time because the music/vibe/nostalgia soothes me so much.
YYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS IM SO HAPPY
My all time favourite anime. The song beats(Nujabes rocks!) , the premise, the characters.. All top notch! Excited for you guys to watch it!
They done drop some heat one of my favorite anime love everything about this anime especially the soundtrack
I absolutely love this show!!!!! The theme song is such a vibe that made me love chill hop and this show doesn't really go real crazy but just enough to be amazing but not boring
love this show
One of the all time greats. So glad your watching this.
Finally someone reacting to Samurai Champloo again 🤗
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BANGER FOR YEARS EVER SINCE IT LOST ON THE FIRST POLL🗣️💯
This anime has got one of the best soundtracks I listen to 20 years later.
OH shit Samurai Champloo!! HERE WE GOOO
“This may be one of the rare shows that’s better in dub.”
More than that. It’s the ultra-rare show that’s so good in both sub and dub, that I honestly recommend people who enjoyed it in one version rewatch it in the other version. Many shows are so good in both that it doesn’t matter which you watch it in. Champloo is so good in both that it deserves two watchthroughs. 😁
So happy to see you guys reacting to this classic, my favorite episode is Mugen learning to read. Idk why but that episode always hit deep for me.
Yesss! This show is so underrated
Sounds like you don't know the meaning of the word "underrated"
Nice to see my fav anime here. ❤
favorite show hands down
This is the one of the Goats.
"A samurai and a samurai walk into a bar. That bar doesn't exist anymore."
Hell yeah!!! Finally watching this top tier anime.
Yoooo, it finally happened! Normies react to Samurai Champloo is here!
Finally, Ill resubcribe just for this
Samurai Champloo: one of Shinichiro Watanabe's other projects animated by Studio Manglobe. it's up there as one of the best timeless classics with the story, music, characters & animation.
unfortunately, while the studio worked on some noteworthy stuff (Deadman Wonderland, Michiko & Hatchin, Gangsta) they filed for bankruptcy about 9 years ago (September 29th, 2015).
Youll love Samurai Champloo!
YES FINALLY
Nah yall need the whole group for this anime
Mickey: "You could shit in their soup."
Me: "So is that an extra dumpling?"
Hell yes, mugen is voiced by Stephen Blum (spike spiegel, orochimaru etc) he has a very recognizable voice.
One of the best anime series that i unfortunately keep forgetting all the time.
I'm so grateful that I grew up in an era where this shit was just...on TV
This brings me back to high school going to Barnes & Nobles, Kinokuniya, Forbidden Planet, Book Off to pick up manga
Also the OST for this series is incredible with the likes of Nujabes and fatJON contributing
The precursor to a lot of the lo-fi waves we've seen in the last decade or so
The guy who's about to execute in ep 1 them sounds familiar because the voice actor played Jet Black in Cowboy Bebop. If I'm not wrong. And the honey pot woman in ep 2 voiced Faye Valentine. Mugen ofc is played by Spike's VA as Chris said.
LETS GOOOO , SAMURAI CHAMPLOO
Gotta listen to the outro😤😤
I recalled from Avatar The Last Airbender episode Jet the fight sequence between Aang and Jet were inspired by Samurai Champloo along with Naruto 😄; and Chris dope shirt!
This anime is GOATED. From the music to the comedy and action. Truly tremendous 🤘🏽
The Adidas kimono comment has me fucking rolling 😂
One of my favourite series, it has literally everything. Generational.
Ayyyyeee Hell Yeaaa, the music for this show is Top Tier
This show got me into anime, hip-hop, and Japanese swordmanship
YOOO I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
Ah yes *sipsdrink* fine anime
Also fresh forged katanas used to be tested by stacking prisoners condemned to death on top of one another and seeing how many you can cut through in one swipe, this number would later be etched into the sword as a mark of quality ie: 3-body sword,4-body sword etc.
Since you already watched cowboy bebop.
I hope you guys watch SPACE DANDY after this.
Hell!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!! One of the greatest
I love Samurai Champloo. Same style as Cowboy Bebop but I personally prefer Champloo characters and episodic stories.
Interesting fact is that Samurai being about honor only became a thing later. They were not always bound by that.
The period ghost of tsushima is in they would not give a fck about doing things only with honor.
The comparison with knights is interesting and apt because they are also seen as honourable servants to a landowner in a feudal society, which maps on to the function of samurai pretty well, but also they were often nasty pieces of work who would bully peasants and other poor tax payers. Which is a contradiction with the general idea of honour. Of course their honour was not quite moral.
The ED Shiki no Uta, lives rent free in my head, like Inuyasha EDs I literally get sent places
