my apple tv turns on but gets stuck on the language screen, the remote will at time not work and other times when I click buttons the light flashes, also pressing the menu and power button makes it restart but I get the same set of problems all over again. also already tried preparing the remote and restoring the apple tv to factory settings and I Stil get the same issues

How long does the remote take charging before it should be working again?

I was having trouble with my 4k ATV. I finally tried using another HDMI port on the TV and that seemed to fix things.

I have a Marantz receiver with Direct Sat box in HDMI 1 and Apple TV in Hdmi2. I control it with a Logitech remote which is programmed only to turn on the receiver, TV and Sat box. For some reason Apple TV powers up when the receiver powers on. This causes receiver to change to Apple TV hdmi 2 overriding hdmi 1 that remote is programmed to. How do I stop Apple from powering up when it sees a power signal from the receiver?
after a reset, do I need to re-enter cable provider info/email/passwords again? I'm getting apps like ESPN, HGTV, Food Network, etc just fine .... but Netflix, HBO, and other movie apps only have audio and a blank screen. Tried restarting, but does not work. Afraid to to a complete reset. I'm using someone else's cable info and don't want to loose what I have!! I know. I'm a loser 😬 But having to re sign in again every so often anyway ....what's up with that??

What about HDMI problems. My 1st gen Apple TV works fine on one of my TVs but no sound on the other. I tried restarting and every possible combination of unplugging, replugging, plugging to different HDMI ports, restarting the tv, the Apple TV. Etc etc. No luck.

I wish someone could tell me how I can avoid having to constantly re-activate apps on my Apple TV 4K. Seems like once a week I have to re-activate apps for my kids like Disney Now or Nick Jr.

I have a different problem I thought I was hacked asked me someone is trying to log to my apple ID in Manchester so I changed password then it stopped I went to my apple tv try to log on and again that message pops up so when I try to log to my apple tv shows Manchester and I'm in London why is that?

Anyone knows how to fix the apple tv slideshow per slide problem. You can't choose above 3 seconds otherwise it turns off and goes back to the slideshow home screen. 3 seconds per slide is to fast and if you choose anything above that it doesn't work. Any fix for this? I did call support and the asked me to factory reset and start fresh which I've already done.
There doesn't seem to be a volume control on the official UA-cam app.

okay so my problem is different. i quite recently lost my apple tv remote, but found it yesterday. it was INSIDE this mechanical chair but looked just fine. i tried opening the tv but it was different. it would have voiceover on, scrolling was glitchy, and only allowed me to go left and right. i tried going in settings to clean this mess out, but wouldn't go down nor go up. it also keeps asking me to verify my apple id which i already did but it comes up every 5-6 seconds. at this point forward i concluded that I'm screwed. can anyone please help me??
After the reset of the 4k Apple TV the remote doesn‘t work can you help me 🙄 The Apple TV says That i should reduce the distance to it but That also does not help

The cable repair guy was here and we could not get it to advance past the set up screen .. on the plus side , We did learn to say Hello in like 200 languages!!!LOL ( after a reset , due to issues ) we plugged / unplugged/ looked for a pin hole reset button , /,checked connections , preyed ;) etc. then you said hold menu and volume + ! And voila ‘ it allowed me to repair my remote and life is good again!! Ty ty ty :)

I'm battling to keep Apple Airplay connected to any device for longer than 15 mins, any advise? between 8-15 mins our stream dies and we have to try reconnect, sometimes warm rebooting the devices works , sometimes we have to remove the power and then connect. I have enabled IP Helper and mDNS and done the relevant WLAN to WLAN rules to get connection.

The problem I am having is that, I mistakenly turned off Apple TV Bluetooth and now I can used any keyboard with it and I can control the device. Followed steps to delete apps from home screen and settings but apps won’t go away. I receive delete option, but never receive option to remove app.

Hi there, I have an Apple TV 4K. Lately I’ll be watching any kind of show and out of nowhere the audio starts jumping “flickering” type sound and after 5 or so seconds the entire system just shuts down and restarts itself….I don’t know if it’s the Apple TV causing this, or my TV…it’s an LG 4K TV….any ideas on what’s happening and how to fix it?
HELP... I have an Apple HD TV with the NEW 2021 Remote. I can not find a way to completely have the remote turn off my Samsung Series 7 TV. When I hit the power button it put the Apple TV box in sleep mode and then it acts like it is powering off the TV, but within 10 seconds the TV comes back on. Then I have to use the TV remote to turn it off. I am trying to just use the Apple Remote. Do you have any ideals.

We had this problem for a few days. Ours is an old apple TV with basic narrow silver remote, activating UA-cam on our TV set. I removed the 3 connectors on the back of the black AppleTV box, reinserted them and voila, The Apple TV is connected by a cable to our stand alone pc

1. if you app isn't working force quit.
2. if you Apple TV isn't working reboot it.
3. if your controller doesn't work it charge it.
4. if your sound system doesn't work restart it
5. if your running out of storage delete stuff.

Well, it may be the FIRST time you helped me but this DID. Had been stuck in the LOOP to reset or restart for hours. So for giggles, I held down both the Menu & TV Screen (Home?) Buttons. Sucker RESET! All this after Apple tech support on phone "troubleshooting" told me it had to be returned to Apple! So much for "Genius" Bar and the like. They said the same thing...
