      Emily Bushard how did your session go??
      Was it a friend or family member, or was it a completely new individual?
      That can be a little intimidating!
      Let us know how it went??
      Can we see the results?

    Like the way Carlee offers directions. I think her directions inspires confidence in an inexperienced model, although an experienced model might appreciate more freedom to pose. Wonderful shots.

    Carlee, I enjoyed watching your post! Your opposes were excellent! I also shoot with my Nikon D750! Here's a little tip for you!... Look into purchasing a 70 to 200mm lens! You will take your environmental portraiture to another level! I promise you you'll love this lens!😃

    Shooting my own senior pictures am a beginner in photography and have learned so much I use manual settings only and have practiced editing and have picked out location clothes and even lighting this helps so much bc I was wondering about poses! I bought a camera and equipment AND photoshop and it was still cheaper than going to get them “professionally done” when a lot of their galleries had off focus pictures and bad lighting 😣 can’t wait ! 😊

      As a professional photographer who's shot hundreds of graduating seniors let me say this: good photographers are not cheap and cheap photographers are not good. Doing your own senior images is like a defendant representing himself in court and the saying that goes with that is: A defendant representing himself in court has a fool for an attorney.

      Guy Photo they came out beautiful much better most professional photographers I’ve seen locally people keep asking me who took them and want the “photographers” number lol! you want some tips for photo taking or wanna be snarky? Not everything has to be by books and exact to what you think may work or who does things best at the end of the day u can be a pro photographer and have sucky photos when I’m just learning and have beautiful portraits that me and others are amazed by, settings can always be taught but eye can never be learned 🤗

    • @guyphoto9437
      @guyphoto9437 3 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately digital photography has opened the door for a whole lot of terrible alleged pro photographers. I see it here on you tube every time I browse through photos. I mean if you can buy a camera, maybe a flash, and shoot better photos than your local pros what does that say about your local pros? It doesn’t mean you’re good, just that they are really bad. In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. Due to the COVID lockdown this is the first time I’ve had to browse you tube, I was too busy shooting. So, like I said I am surprised by how bad the vast majority of so called pros are on here.

    Whatever happened to having your Senior year photo simply taken by the regular photographer hired by the school who did the whole Senior class in like a day or two. I had three photos done, one smiling, one serious and one whatever I wanted. I picked the best, and it cost me I think $13.00 - that was in 1971. It probably took about two mins! Even counting for inflation I don't see why these kids would spend HUNDREDS of dollars! It's not as if any 17 or 18 year old has that great of a high paying job.

    • @carleesecor
      @carleesecor  4 роки тому +10

      Hey Dave! Thanks for your concern on something that truly has nothing to do with you. Considering you graduated in 1971 things have changed quite a bit! I’m super grateful for the people who do value my art and are willing to pay for it. So, please get off the comment section of my video because you came here just to be a dick :-)

      I agree! For her to call me a "dick" when I NEVER called her any names, just because I pointed out that in my school, nobody but no one was paying hundred$ of dollar$ for a high school year book photo, and miss "Look at my biker Tats" got her panties in a twist is immature of her. Is her "Comments' section then ONLY for her friends to praise her? Is she that emotionally insecure or does she need the business that badly that she only accepts praise? And for her to tell her to "get off the comment section" - well too bad, she sounds like a nasty, neurotic bitch who can go fuck herself. JUST SAYING! :-)

      1971-2019. Imagine thinking things had to stay the same between all those years. It doesn't concern you what people do with their own hard earned money. And at 17-18 years old, most have hardworking jobs and save up to have nice photos like this down of themselves. When I was that age I had THOUSANDS saved in the bank, only spent $100 on senior photos from a friend who's a photographer, but they were worth every penny. And besides, your generation fucked up everything for mine. $13 photos, with inflation, would be hundreds now. Thanks for all you've done ♥️☺️
