It's quite easy to get hooked on these episodes. This judge is clever, humane, gentle but isn't easy fooled. It's really interesting to watch him interacting and deciding each case individually.
I am working here in Thailand thousand miles away from my home Philippines. I sometimes feel homesick after my daily work, but when I watch Judge Carpio, he fills my heart with warmth loving way of kindness to every human being that appears into his court. Love and God is in his heart.
It is refreshing to see a judge with the wisdom of Solomon! I am retired military and any troop that disrepected this man would be in trouble once he returned to base!
Oh, hi, can't believe there is another Austrian ! We are quite rare to spot on UA-cam, except for any "Austrian language is strange" or "My year in Austria" - clips.....^^
I used to work in municipal court and the motto of one of the judge's was "help me temper justice with mercy". I think Judge Caprio subscribes to this philosophy. I wish he was a judge in our court system. It would almost be worth getting a ticket . . . almost. LOL
@@charlessaco4495 a man is never remembered by his age but by how he lived his life ! So I agree whole heartedly with the simplest of your answer ! And wisdom cannot be thrown under the bus when you live that what you preach!
How I wish that all Judges in the US, in all other countries and here in the Philippines are like you, your Honor...Maybe... and maybe then, our world will be a world full of peace, love and compassion...you bring the light in the lives of the most unfortunate and makes FAIR JUDGEMENT to all...God bless you and your entire family, Your Honor. May you have long life and good health.
The judge & entire courtroom personnel are super nice. The second most fun part of this is the accents! I could listen all day. California person here.
I love this show and have now become addicted to watching the show. Judge Caprio is the best, most human and most fair Judge I have ever seen in my 40 years of life.
The person that said "I know the city wanna make some money" Its not about making money, its about keeping other road users safe ! we all make mistakes but sometimes we have to pay for our mistakes So we learn life's lessons
Haven't got to that part yet, so don't know what that person got a ticket for... but, quite a large number of tickets he deals with are parking tickets (in many cases, where they can get parking permits for $100 a year). Those are not about safety at all, those are about money mostly. And there's one or two roads he mentions the speed limit being 25 mph, but he knows people travel 35-40 regularly. That's very probably more about money than safety. All in all, most of the tickets he deals with seem to be about money, not safety. (Edit: OK, after watching, IF he ran a red light, that's a safety concern. IF, since there's no video and only a cop's word on it, which may or may not be worth something, depending on the cop).
Why these court proceedings are so awesome is for several reasons. 1. They are REAL 2. Judge caprio is a caring, unbiased, humorous, charming and compassionate man. 3. Inspector Quinn is also kind, caring and very humorous! Love watching these court proceedings!!
I'M SURE YOU'VE HEARD ALL THE GREAT COMMENTS ABOUT THIS JUDGE AND HE DESERVES EVERY BIT OF LOVE AND RESPECT..HE TRULY IS A GREAT JUDGE...I WISH WE HAD HIM IN DETROIT...

Knows the law, the consequences of that law and how to implement it perfectly. Good judge
The judge gets paid the big bucks to do the right thing and tough on wrong doings. I think he has a good sense and that is what makes a great judge. Better than Judge Judy...
This is the nicest judge. First time I got a speeding ticket, it was pay it or lose your license for a year....for 9 mph over the limit. Don't move to Utah.
Judge Caprio takes in to consideration that these so called small punishment or judgements will impact some people more then others, so as a judge and human, he makes out to be a normal human being, and uses his head whilst doing his job! Much respect 🙏 if just 1/3 of the world's judges were a little like him, the world would've been a much better place today.
I love this , In the Uk they squeeze every penny they can and put penalty's on and even waste your time because the staff , at the council take you to court for not paying council tax , when in fact they owe you £250.00 pounds, and do not apologise for their actions. but I also note that there is a police car on a bend with a walkway to cross the street in what I would class here in the UK as dangerous, we have no parking zig zag lines on either side of the crossing so that more room is allowed to be able to see the crossing better and that is a no parking zone whats the law there on this I wonder ?????
I watched a few of these videos. Now I think it is some sort of mind game! People are poor and they can't pay... sometimes! It somehow seems like training people to game the system! Not serious offenders but minor offenders! Compassion is a wonderful thing and I actually like this judge because he knows these people simply can't pay the penalty! That having been said, how many of them KNOW they will be granted "compassion" and be relieved of their penalty??
Judge Judy is amazing, I love her for being strict with people who commit crimes. And yes, she was hated, but she had to be ruthless when it's a child in question. I really appreciate her for that.
The main differance is Judge Judy's courtroom was not a real court proceeding it was in a studio. It was scripted and most times the people were actors and the audience was hand picked.
I really enjoy watching this show with Judge Caprio. I watch late at night, live in an apartment so my problem is the volume changes so drastically between sessions. Please balance the volume a bit?
I seriously wish they were more judges like him all over the US. Maybe there are and we just don't know about them, but this guy seems so reasonable and he has a heart and obviously makes decisions with it. He knows that sometimes people just make mistakes and need a second chance even if they are just mostly minor traffic violations, they still jack up your insurance rates and you get a hefty fine for a lot of these, which he prevents from happening 4 many people. I know that parking tickets don't get you points on your insurance, at least in my state which is Massachusetts, I'm not sure if it's like that in every state, but the speeding tickets and red lights would get you points on your license and make your insurance go up. It's nice to have someone who cuts people a break like he does.
i think that all the people from dictatorial countries has to have access to these videos! i'm from Romania and seeing these videos make me thinking about when iliescu was dictating in Romania (17 years ago)! about when psdragnea was dictating in Romania (2 years ago)
and about that Romania is not a state of right! in Romania justice is not right untill the revolution process and the "procesele mineriadelor"are not solved!
And that lady Chiara Barrett how are u going to come to court and tell the judge what u going to pay? Some people really taking advantage of this judge's kindness Really? smh
Why are the cut-scenes so LOUD compared to the court? I have to turn it down and up and down and up the whole time! It's called Normalization! I would do it for free just to enjoy the show.
USA IS SO LUCKY TO HAVE A JUDGE FRANK .... AND the fines are quite reasonable over here crossing a red light $450 AUD which is 300 USD and with 3 demerits points ...and no discount at all... in USA fines are low plus on top judges like FRANK are so humble to reduce and dismiss the case thats so kind of him what a lucky community ....poor we here in Sydney pays heavy fines and if we don't pay on time its 1000 dollars on top :( and USA still complain hahahah so funny
Ali Bashir It depends on the state. In California running a red light is like $400 and judges are the worst assholes in the world. They will have you starve to death before giving you a discount.
Doesn't he get tired explaining the same thing over and over? It seems like you get a ticket in record breaking time in Providence. The city certainly has an effective way to collect on parking tickets! One question: was he as nice a teacher (past job he has mentioned) as he presently is as a judge?
Phocks Good point. There are no permits for us. Just no parking at night for the season. Not really sure why anyone would have a parking ban where a permit negates it.. other than to make money. It kind of turns the whole city into one big parking garage lol
I watch a lot of these, is parking limited in this city? It is a serious question, I lived in the mid-west for a bit, and during winter parking on the street is prohibited at night due to snowplows. So I get that, this just seems like a congested city with difficult parking issues.
Waived a 50 dollar penalty on a 25 dollar ticket. And then dismisses the ticket. Never seen that. Imagine another judge. Don't know the outcome. 18:20.

Mr Judge, you are a saint. God bless you always.
It's refreshing to see a Judge who is in touch with reality and chooses to exercise compassion. We could do with a few Frank Caprio's here in the UK.
He's fair when he has to be. Keep doing what you're doing !!!!
Just happened to find this and I love it. I wish all judges were like this. My son had the opposite type of judge. I can’t stop watching it.
What a Judge, what a man, what a child of God.

What kind of police state makes it illegal to park on the street in front of your house over night
One that wants everyone to pay $100 a year in parking fees.
Phocks in Northern cities we have parking bans overnight so the snow plows can plow at night without leaving large amounts of snow in the street.
That may make sense in winter but not all year round.
