    I really liked your presentation-it was extremely helpful, and one of the most realistic demonstrations of the Thermomix that I have viewed. This video really inspired me as I do have a thermomix and have never used it to its full potential. I’ve basically made soups. However, that resorto looks incredible. I will be making it soon. Thank You!

    I have been a Thermomix owner for 15 years living in Australia. I use it nearly everyday and have used it for every possible recipe (except for deep frying- who needs to eat fried food).
    Plus blitzing soap to make washing liquid
    Face cream with 6 ingredients
    Moringa leaves blitzed to make powder for capsules
    I will never live without it!
    Brilliant

    Thanks, quite a lot seems to have changed in the last year. eg using the simmering basket instead of measuring cup when taking up to boiling point. Found it odd to add boiling water when the Thermomix can get to boiling. We don't use a kettle any longer as we have a ZIP tap. Would have liked to see use of the simmering basket in the mixing bowl and the Varoma dish. Will look elsewhere for that. Keep up the good work

    • @ElfChef

      The trick with Cookido is to remove the filters on the top of the page. Example: If you type in Mushroom Risotto and the Filter shows "United States", you will see 4 recipes. If you click the "x" on United States to remove that filter, Cookido will pop up 18 recipes not limited to American recipes. Comment if you can't figure it out and I'll help further. Bon Appetit!

    Seems like a real learning curve to have grams in the US,,,, I would not know how much of the products to buy at the store since it is not in ounces or cups... Also was surprised the mushrooms had to be cut manually...isn't that what TM is supposed to do?

    • @ElfChef
      @ElfChef  Рік тому

      FIrst, many recipes on Cookido are repeated in various measurement scales. Also the latest update to the Cookido app allows for auto-conversion of MANY recipes as well as serving levels. The mushrooms CAN be cut in the TM6, but I prefer to slice myself. The TM6 would essentially pulverize them if using the blades.
      As far as simply using weights, it really doesn't matter what measurement is called for, because the TM6 built-in scale will let you know anyway. Merry Christmas!

    For the beginers👍ok! But I wonder, is machine "alowing" those beginers, to learn how to cook food realy- even if without it?
    But if you already like and knew how to cook - and with this machine, you need to live a side all owen knowledge🥺
    And that wonderfull feeling too, of doing it right, without measuring😋!?
    So...for some things mashine is ok - if we not alowed it, TO MAKE US COMPLET *STUPID* IN THE KICHEN🤪!

      Even in the US, serious home cooks often prefer measuring by weight. I live in the US and cook a lot. After cooking some recipes by grams, I try to convert everything to weight now. Better than trying to clean a half dozen measuring spoons and cups! And much more precise for baking. Plus, my ADHD brain can't keep track of how many cups of flour I put in, but the number on the scale doesn't rely on my brain.

    • @zookytar
      @zookytar Рік тому

      Many chefs prefer to use grams as it's faster to measure and more precise. Also easier to correct if you put too much flour in. Just scoop it out until the scale reads correctly!

      Hi, it's me, I'm the ADHD.
      This would be wonderful for me. I have a cooking blender and I would never make smooth soups otherwise. The transfer and blend step always stymied me before I got it. Measuring by volume is rough for me too. By weight is much easier for someone who loses track of how many cups of flour have already gone in after fluffing and leveling the next one. Anything to reduce human swirl and error would help me in the kitchen.
