The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra officially launches tomorrow, and then the deals go away. Right now if you pre-order the S24 Ultra, you get up to a maximum trade in credit of $750, free storage upgrade to 512gb, plus exclusive colors, discount on Samsung Care, and up to $150 in Samsung credit to purchase accessories and extras with! I think the phone is solid, and worth pre-ordering!

I still dig the curved screen on my S23U.
I will be returning my s24u for a s23u asap. This new phone is a failure, the screen is harsh to look at, crazy bright whites that bleed out everywhere at night. Can't believe they released this expensive phone in this condition. Imo the screen is not fixable. Something is very different about it in a bad way.
I've been an Apple guy since the S9 which I still have along with the Apple 12pro max, and I'm waiting on the 16 pro max, but the wifey has the S21 Ultra and I am surprising her the S 24 Ultra which is a great upgrade especially with the extra storage and $150 in accessories! Happy wife, Happy life! 😊
I think one reason to upgrade from S23Ultra to S24 Ultra is a underrated reason. The PWM is said to now be 480 instead of 240. There were many people that returned or got rid of their S23Ultras for this reason alone.
Pwm?
@@FunkinTaco In simple terms screen flicker which can cause eyestrain and headaches
@@FunkinTaco LED: Reduce power to pixels for lower brightness
Amoled: Can't reduce power for lower brightness because every pixel has/controls their own light meaning not only the brightness but also the color is going to be washed out ---> So they turn part of the screen on and off that changes alternatively very fast to lower brightness, the lower the brightness the longer it turns off per cycle per second.
Higher PWM = less time off and more cycles meaning quicker on and off motion
I decided I’m going to keep my preorder and wait on this fix for the vivid mode if its going to be fixed. Sure the screen may not be as punchy but I’m tired of curved displays, I need more storage and the battery life on the S22U is abysmal. Also, I really do want the galaxy watch 6 that comes with my bundle lol
It's gonna be fixed, fear not!!😁
Great content. I did what you said in your last video. I went into developer settings and changed the contrast to high on my s23 ultra, man. What a difference. It made everything punchy. Black is more black and the other colors are much better.
Its not FINE if you did a side by sid3 comparison of the S24 ultra and the S23/22/ S21 ultra ou can easily see the colours are washed out but when you watch UA-cam 4K hdr footage in side by side comparison you can clearly see that the S24 ultra images are duller and have less contrast the highlights are dimmer the colors are muted it less a dynamic image
Which device has the best screen resolution out of all the devices you've tested
They need to update the screen mode because it is on natural and it cant not be change to vivid i compare to s23 ultra and the s23 ultra you noticed the difference on s24 it stays the same
I got the Note 20 ultra 5G and strongly considering upgrading but this is my 2nd phone. With the discounts I'd pay $700. Not sure how I feel about paying 700 for a 2nd phone smh
I like the flat screen on the S24U, but not paying $550 and my S23U to get it.
Agreed,,,,my 23U stays and I save ....love from NI, UK...thanks❤❤
I'm sure they will fix the Vivid Setting in the Software with the next OS update.
I don't use it myself as I find the effect a bit over the top.
1. Everyone appears to have Rosacea.
2. My photos look like watercolors.
3. Everything with any color appears to be a Skittle.
Sounds like I might actually like the Vivid setting on the S24 Ultra if the effect is as minimal as everyone says.
So I compared the s23 ultra pre order to this years s24 ultra this morning. Last year with s22 ultra trade in it came out to nearly $700 after tax. This year trade in for s23 ultra is a little over $500. I’m itching to press the preorder button, haha. But it seems there’s issues with the screen? Will wait till this sorted out and will buy accessories later, lol
The edge screen gets in the way when I try to take notes using the S 23 ultra. I know when I had the note 5 it was a flat screen and that thing was almost like one of those pocket notebooks where you able to take decent notes using the note app how do you find the flat screen now when taking notes you may not take notes and I understand that but could you give it a try open up the Samsung note apps, and start writing on it tell me if you feel any more screen real estate, when writing on the screen, that would be grateful and it would help me out. Thanks man always appreciate your videos and this UA-cam thing is difficult. Don't let anybody tell you different. And I appreciate your hard work.
I'll pass waiting for z fold 6 👍
Fold sucks. They dont last
If you're trading them in every year
..that wouldn't matter@@sonyboybluespower
I’ve had all except the very first fold and I didn’t have one problem out of neither. I have Z fold 5 currently along side of my 15 pro max. Waiting on Z fold 6
@@bigdrews4360 if u havr more than 1 phone then u are not nearly given the use of an average power user.
It's gonna be the same thing I bet
Trade my 22 ultra plus 700 dollars extra for a phone some software upgrades that i might get bored with after a week is a hard pass.
I mean... it's just a phone why are people so focused on always getting the last flagship it's just stupid I'm only buying it because I have a 5 year old phone that has problems so for me is a good upgrade
@@dergrive88my device is 7 years old I need an upgrade I don't want to buy this device and to find out that it has a lousy display that would be a deal breaker I'd be really really mad I had to send it back😢 I hope they have a fix for that😅
I really REALLY almost got this phone - but decided to stick with the S23 Ultra. I hope i dont regret it 😅
Did the Samsung Screen Protector affect the anti glare screen in a negative way or anyway for that matter? I'm an S pen usesr and have found the flat screen easier to use have full access without dropping off on the side and making errors!
it's rly good feeling, feels like glass, slides like glass, no marks with s pen, but it has 2 mm gaps on sides, so if you use no case or low profile case you will feel it when swiping from sides. I will leave it for some time and will wait for other to make a anti-reflective film :) It makes screen more reflective but still has some anti-reflective abilities compared to other protectors.
After 12 hours with the 24u, I am ready to send it back and keep my cracked note 10+. The screen lightning hurts my eyes like looking at cheap florescent lightning. It burns through the battery on wifi compared to my n10+ in cold temps. Never had a cellphone hurt my eyes before. This phone is ridiculous, the screen is a huge downgrade, and charging is painfully slow compared to what's available.
Love my s24u❤
Loving my pixel 8 pro with the e7 panel...no reason to switch
I'll probably skip the Ultra this year too. Got the S22U in the beautiful Teal color still doing just fine for me when I want to go back to a "normal" candy bar phone. My daily is my ZFold 5 which I used my S22U WAY more than my ZFold 3 when I had it but something about the Fold5 really won me over as having a Foldable as my daily and my candybar as my backup. I also have the Z Flip 5 and RARELY ever use it. Genuinely wish I hadn't returned my Beautiful magenta RAZR Plus to get the Flip 5. Definitely think the Razr Won over the flip last year
I got my trade in samsung got back to me real quick saying they got the trade in and were happy with it... x
Nice!
Glad to hear Samsung is doing a good job on trades. I'll be looking ar at the Z Fold 6 as my first foldable. But very concerned that there are so many posts about bad warranty service from Samsung. BTW I'm keeping my S23 u for now.
"That's going to be a no from me, dawg," - Randy Jackson
I have the S23 Ultra , I don't mind the flat screen but I do mind the dull screen. They focused to much on the anti reflection.
It's a software bug which wil be fixed soon
I really like s24 ultra, and s24 regular. Got both. S24 u is simply too big. If you have smaller hands s24 better bet. S24 has poor battery life though. Screen is OK for me on s24 u
Really like your videos!
S24 ultra is literally the s23 literally
Alot of ppl don't even play around with the settings so they can adjust brightness white balance e.t.c , they don't account for inside lighting, outside lighting etc..this phone is superb, best their is when compared to other flagship phones. In other words they are quick to judge and they have only tapped into 50 percent of the phone
Do you think I should upgrade from the pixel 6 pro or wait for pixel 9. Ive been thinking about it 😅
Yes😊
Samsung s23 ultra for me !! Please stop to all these phone companies and give it a rest. So this way you will have a few years to really upgrade a phone !! Because a new phone every year is really not much of an upgrade. Give it a rest and wait a few years..😱🙄
Is it worth waiting a few months for a deeper discount with trade in? I want to trade in my z flip 5.
I pre ordered the s24 ultra. Its a great phone in my opinion. Its way better than my last phone which was the s20fe. But people will complain about everything, nothing makes them happy.
It can't play some games though like for whenever I play Dragon Ball Legends it crashes immediately every time, it really makes the phone unappealing, especially since I have the s23 ultra
I think dragon ball legends needs to optimize the game for snapdragon 8 gen3 because the game crashes on my redmagic 9 pro with snapdragon 8 gen3.
I already have a ticket through DBL support and Samsung to bring it to their attention but now I'm kinda 50/50 whether I should sent it back and keep the s23 ultra. How long do you think we could get an update to optimize the game?
We have 8 kids and most are teenagers too. Youngest 3 are almost 6, 9, and 13. They love their rooms and electronics. LOL
I can relate. We have 6
ive been using a s10+ since new its failing on me would you consider this over the pixel
I got my preorder of the S24 Ultra on the 26th. I was so eager to use voice to text on this phone just like ive been ablet to do for years ever since Google launched the Pixel 6. I someone who text's a lot and having a phone that corrects my grammar and adds punctuations was truly amazing. Well, after finding out that it doesnt have this feature, after Samsung and everyone else seemed to talk about AI. I just decided to sell mine. It's just too disappointing to go from using a pixel and switching over to the S24 series. I feel, that when it comes to comparing this phone, it should be compared to the Pixel 8 Pro and the older S23 Ultra. Because if your not comparing the features of the S24 series to the Pixel line. Whats the point? I was looking forward to the S24 ultra just being a bigger pixel, but sadly it's not. The Pixels are still the AI kings.
Ordered mines, January 27th.but i have to wait a month to get it. Feb 21st
Ive been trying to preorder but Everytime I try to apply the $150 credit towards a silver 47mm lte watch 6 classic it doesn't show up in cart smh. But the Bluetooth one does :/
That means it's not in stock
@@thomassankara2857 I thought so too but I chatted with support and they made the cart how I wanted. Discounts and all.
Where are the one plus 12 videos at ?
I released my full review last week
I bought my current Motorola Edge Plus 2023 in November 2023 regular price was $800 dollars but Amazon had a sale going on for 600 dollars comes in a big box and there is a 68watt charging brick plus fast charging cable and the phone sim ejection tool and instructions as well. The Motorola Edge Plus 2023 charges up quick like about 30 minutes plus you have 512GB of memory/Storage and 8 GB of RAM and has the same super fast processor as the Samsung Galaxy s23 series of phones and the OnePlus 11 as well. I'm loving my Motorola Edge Plus 2023. Great video as well!!!
I also purchased Motorola edge plus 2023. I traded in my s22 ultra so I ended up just paying 168 plus tax.
@@jjnolms1967 that's awesome that's a good deal!!!
Zollotech tweeted that s24 ultra is one of his favorite phones
I received the S24 Ultra with the vegan leather case and two screen protectors. The case is OK but the screen protectors are a piece of garbage. There is a horizontal line across where the two pieces of plastic met and it's bubble central. It came free along with the free case but it's just a film and a bad one at that. I ordered a tempered glass screen protector from Amazon and will replace the one from Samsung as soon as I get it. The vegan leather case feels fine but looks like a dull light black. Samsung needs to hire some artists to jazz up their accessory line. What they offer for the free credit looks and feels cheap.
My phone is going back to Samsung bcs ups didn't not find me home when they tried to deliver it 😢😅😅
I think people enjoy consistency
Titanium YELLOW🎉 shiny Bright color 🎉 with yellow silicone skin😂 Happy Easter yall
Where are the phones being shipped from for USA customers
Mine shipped from Philadelphia
Texas also
@@SumTroll914 thanks
😂😂😂ANOTHER VIDEO #funny #lol #video
Im probably going to return my pixel 8 pro and get the s24+
Buying a phone that has been marketed based on AI features and then being told that at some point these features will be subscription based only, not a good move Samsung.
This very tempting trade in ; iPhone 13 Pro user here and was considering it
Thanks TechOdyssey!
Snooze, you LOSE!! Had a S24+ and a Watch 6 LTE in my cart for $619 with trade-in @ 11;59pm......@12;01am the cost went to $1400!! Wowza! Oh well, next year!
Ummm lot's of phones come with changing brick in the box oppo, Xiaomi ,all do we've al got apple to thank for not putting the charger in the box saving the planet? Yeah right
Thanks but AI for me is not worth the upgrade yet. I am seeing many issues.
Such as?
I received my S24 Ultra, i am realy not happy with the boxy nature of it. I have been using a Fold 3 and its hard to move away from fold. Should I return it?
@hellsfavoritesaltyberserke4724 😀
why buy a boxy phone if you don't like boxy phones lol
It's not that I dislike boxy phones, after getting used to fold it's hard to getting out of it.
Got a Samsung ultra s20 ill wait and see next year
Pass
I’m supposed to be getting mine tomorrow, but it’s going to my previous address 😂
Me whose phone is always on night mode😂
Nice video
I will skip it and decided to go with the Oneplus 12, way better value
I’m coming from iPhone 11 so this is huge upgrade for me
People sht on Apple for looking similar… Samsung - hold my 🍺
Got 1000 credit for trade on s22 ultra with AT&T
I got 1000 on my s21 ultra with Verizon
Yeah At&t had the trade any galaxy phone thing for $1000 credit. Traded in a Note 3 lol
I assume you got that discount only if you accepted the 36 month payment plan. That will tie your hands for the next 3 years. I will never do that again. If you want to change carriers, you will pay full price minus payments made. The credited amount each month will be added back in. Samsung gives you that credit directly and deducts it from the total price, assuming you send the trade-in phone within the specified time.
@@agustinduenas5902 I've had them for the last 10 + years anyway, so it doesn't matter even if that is the case. Paying the difference if I decide to switch isn't even that big of a deal honestly, because if I'm deciding to switch carriers I'm going to have the money to pay it anyway. Also, Samsung isn't giving me close to $1,000 trade in for ANY device. Instead of trading in a Fold 4 for a measley $600 and still paying almost another $800 for a S24, I get rid of a dead broken Note 3 and get to keep my Fold that had already been paid off. Win-win deal for me.
Great information.
"iOS is still crap" is what I say every time I think about giving iPhone a try.
❤❤❤❤😊😊
I REALLY hope it's not by design and that it's just a bug... 😤
15 Pro Max or S24 Ultra? Been on iPhone for a few years and I’m getting bored with it but iPhones work great even if boring.
all they do is sit and play fortnight...hahahahahahaha...can totally relate to this hahahahaha
I like the iOS crap and One UI crap. Have my S 23 Ultra on tripod at the moment while I daily my iPhone 14 Pro
Worse review ever if u do a reviews u need learn to turn phone on show pictures and a video when phone on everyone knows this the galaxy s23 + better why cause this phone your video battery goes out in year and the one I just said galaxy s23+ and any Samsung galaxy A phone best cause I have also A phone and for years now battery still good I just gave someone and got Samsung galaxy s23+ don't take my word but this new phone u showing no different then last one I had galaxy note 20 ultra 5G that looks just like same and I love it but battery will go out within either 1 year to 3 bur to replace battery cost around 40 - 50 bucks which worth it . Just saying
This isn’t a review, genius.
AOD stinks. Needs fixed.
Samsung have 12 hour to fix this garbage screen otherwise most of all will return this garbage back to Samsung that will be world record for number of phone returns in 1 single day
Sounds like a solid plan. After they update the Vivid setting in the Ultra you can get one of those "Samsung Refurbished" ones that will be everywhere. The oversupply is bound to drive the prices down on them.
"...iOS is still crap..." Just about made me spit out my drink, lol. I mean...shots fired, the Apple gang gonna be comin' for ya now! 😅
