      Yes, seems xclipse does a good job in gpu performance, but battery not so much.
      This might be great for gamers and we'll see if there's throttling during bypass charging.

    It's amazing when you think game running at such graphical fidelity, on such a huge display, speakers, OS in the background, etc. is only consuming 4-6 watts. People take all this for granted but this is a technological marvel. :)

      @@NasiLemakTechI think Samsung already fixed the Vivid issue. I toggled the option from Natural to Vivid and I am seeing the difference now. Can you confirm? It looks better to me. It must be a silent update/patch coz I noticed that my battery was draining faster in the past 2 days, but now, battery has improved as well. That update must have caused the battery drain but now it is all good on my end.

    The funniest thing about all this is that I never imagined that this option would be available on some Galaxy A devices, in my case I use an A34 and the option is available, the best thing to do for this is to use the original cable that comes in the box and a charging cube that allows an exact output of 25W or more, without forgetting that the cube can regulate the voltage according to the mobile.

    Something i want to try and you can try if you want too is, to use samsung dex and bypass charging and console controler and let the phone chill with 1-2 ice cubes on the place where the cpu is to keep it really cool and like this i think you can play anything without throttling and with the better experience with bigger display and controler

    If you have a power brick of 45W or more, it should ALSO charge the battery and rely on the extra power from the charger to power the phone instead of relying on the battery that IS being charged.

    Great review! I noticed this feature when I bought the s24 ultra, but never actually knew what it was for. One question, I noticed in your video that your temp was reaching 46-47 degrees Celsius while playing the game, that being said, doesn't it affect your battery regardless, and the overall functionality of the phone?
    - I recently downloaded warzone mobile, and my phone gets up to 41 degrees celcius easily. I am afraid that this will damage my phone in the long run. However, I have not played the game while actually charging my phone. Is there some feature in these new phones, where they can handle this amount of heating?

    Some claim that the inbuild FPS counter show higher than actual number....what do you think? I feel that there're might be some truth to that because many times I see 55fps or so, but it doesn't feel like that at all, more like 45fps. Anyhow, performance is disappointing to me for such a big phone with supposedly 1,9x vapor chamber. That is almost last year's exynos level...

    How does gaming performance on the S24 Ultra compared to S23 Ultra? Does S23 Ultra thermal throttle too? Is it as bad? Although by benchmark, the S24 Ultra is better compared to the S23 Ultra, but somehow I think the S23 Ultra performance might be better in actual use as the chip is more stable?

    i am pretty sure this is not how its working, nowhere says what you claim, there is no bypass happening, and nowhere is mentioned so
    this function, "pause USB PB charging when gaming" will pause the charging of the phone while gaming because when you charge your phone the phone will heat up as the charging process includes heating cycles, but if you are also gaming while you are charging, this can lead to overheating as gaming will force the processor unto working at 100% constantly, heating the device further
    nowhere in that option says that the phone is powered by the charger while the battery is bypassed. what it says is that while you are gaming, and the battery is above 20%, the charging will be disabled to avoid overheating

    • @felipecardel
      @felipecardel 9 місяців тому

      have you actually tested it? it does stop the charging. the phone doesn't get cooler because the chipset is still being powered. throttling still happens if the game demands too much of the processor, but the battery percentage doesn't change. i've done this several times now

  • @harcomoyo

    Samsung did not include an explanation of this feature

    • @NasiLemakTech
      @NasiLemakTech  10 місяців тому

      It still needs to provide minimal power to the battery to ensure the phone don’t shut down - so not really trickle charging?

    • @harcomoyo
      @harcomoyo 10 місяців тому

      @@NasiLemakTech I'm not sure this is bypass charging. It's more like trickle charging. Samsung knows how much power is needed to keep the battery from decreasing and increasing. In my opinion, if it were bypass charging, the power input would be more than 5 watts. The 5 watts is the power needed for the battery to stay at its current percentage.
      You should check further, use it for a long time, and when it gets hot, you will see your battery decrease. It's like the concept of normal charging, where it reduces the power input because the device and battery are too hot.
      But correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just arguing based on my testing. And I don't know the exact result because there is no official explanation from Samsung about this.

      Battery bypass means your battery wouldn't heat up but that means more thermal headroom for the chipset.
