If you want to check out Angel & I’s video over on his channel “Rookie Pilot” it’s up now here on UA-cam. Also the link to my store is above in the video description.
I would be satisfied if my purchased merch was delivered as promised. To be clear, I am not blaming you, but it sure would be nice to either actually get what I ordered, or get a refund. I don’t think waiting over 7 months is being unreasonable.
Idea for T shirt - A print of the whiteboard with all the wiring diagram done. That would be epic. Cool video and loved the cupcakes. You all look like the types of people we all need in our lives.
I'd love to see a couple of Toyota CEO's visit Sarah's shop during this project - I'd bet they'd leave you with a pretty sizable check, and a smile of appreciation
Hi Sarah! It's totally OK to throw in an occasional "Check out the merch in my store" to remind us it's there. I think a fun shirt would be the foam finger pointing at 10 cookies with one of your clever quips.
I am watching through all your Celica videos (really needs a playlist!). I used to own TWO RA40's, the coupe and the liftback. I love this content, and I think you can spam your merch around as often as you do, or even up to 130% as much as you do right now. It's fair, relevant, and easily ignored if people don't care. Keep up the ace work.
When I first started watching you, I didn’t think you were a “real” mechanic. You’re too pretty, and too clean. You also have nails. All telltale signs of an actor. I’ve been watching the Celica build. You’re legit. You’re tackling wiring like a specialty tech. Wiring scares the shit out of most mechanics. Tips hat.
Pleasure to meet Karen FoodCake! I'll have a look at your new merchandise. Great video - thank you for keeping it real, regarding how time intensive it is to restore an older vehicle.
Are you a mechanical engineer? Some of your fixes are just brilliant. I hope you take this car to SEMA ................... P/S , Thanks for including the times when you surprise yourself with the spontaneous humor patch-ins to explain yourself. Comedic genius, fails!
4 years now since i found this channel and i haven't missed even one video on either channel and watched some more than once please don't change a thing .
I finally figured out what type of gaming channel this is! It's a live action Car Mechanic Simulator and occasionally a live action driving game! Such a cool video gaming channel idea, do it all as live action, amazing!!!
OMG!! I am so happy about the Merch! I skipped the last giveaway due to the shipping/customer service issues. I hope this works out because I can't do that again the way it was.
Sarah, in the help/wiring section in the pclink software has an example of a pinout for the 2uz for the sensors. wiring information>varible valve timing (vvt) solenoids>specific vvt applications>toyota 2uzfe vvt wiring. Happy nerding.
The plunger is the "valve" part of the Oil Control Valve OCV. The computer supplies + power and - ground to activate the electromagnet which pulls the plunger over to allow oil to flow through it to change the cam timing. It may be PWM to control how much it opens.
If I was a millionaire I’d hire you to restore research and rescue first generation Toyota. The care and attention to detail that you take is incredible.
Whoa this made my day! My first car was a 77 ST in the late 80's. Loved it! Managed to trade up to an mk1, then mk2, then mk3 supra. The 83 was my favorite car ever! Your 82 restoration is fantastic!
For the color items on the whiteboard, I recommend using the Ultra Fine Point "rainbow" set of Sharpies. I know, "permanent", but, if you first prep the board with the official Expo cleaner, Sharpie can be cleaned-up by writing over it with a dry-erase marker and wiping with a rag/towellete soaked in more Expo cleaner juice. Plus, the fine points will let you make finer detail drawings. I pumice you'll dig it.
I love how in-depth you get with the explanations for how everything works in the electrical system. I feel smarter after watching your wiring videos. And I love how you make it all OEM like it would have come from factory if they made such a thing. Or better even.
As I am rewiring my AW11 now, if you need I can send you my OE Harness and probably even fuse box if you happen to find something from that chassis that would work!
This is peak Sarah. (Also, love that you and Angel are so tight - bought him a harness so ya'll can wire things together, gettin' his gal involved in the merch, still doin' junkyard trips. I'm jealous - Wish I had a car buddy like that!)
Whenever you get into wiring you definitely shine and disply your in-depth knowledge of imports. I'm definitely rusty when it comes to reading wiring diagrams. Been longer than I care to admit since I read those on a regular basis.
I love these videos! I always learn new words! “Fabricobblette” and so forth. Plus, I drove a 76 Celica GT Liftback for a few years so this is a blast from the past! 🏎️😎
You are amazing, It’s incredible that you are able to do the wiring loom and make it look easy. Brilliant. I would try to attempt it myself. Love your work.
I'm so excited for you and your Celica conversion project. I did this putting A V8 in a Porsche 914 and it was an app salute blast and I still regret selling it to this day.
there just isn't enough day to absorb all the Sarah skillz.... i totally 2nd vote the previous comment about a shirt with your wiring white board notes!!
Just a fabricobblering idea. With your BBQ shop neighbor nearing a move, you may want to consider buying a 3D printer. You can use an open-source CAD program like KiCAD to model parts like that fuse-box holder then produce a file in STEP or STL format you can render with the 3D modeler to test the fit. If the fit works and you need the part in steel rather than plastic, I assume the same CAD file could be given to someone with the type of tool your BBQ firm has to make a "real" one. The CAD programs take a *bit* of time to learn (couple of days) but that might save you some round trips if your next external fabricator isn't next door and requires a drive or a FedEx round trip.
I've never seen anyone sort wiring as well as you do, and that's coming from someone who has wired homes. Great job. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. How do you rewire a whole car? One wire at a time. Great lesson.
Oh those glass style fuses boxes ! My father kept sanding and sanding those points because unlike American cars old Celicas can actually be fixed by the owner for a time without buying new parts right away they are so well built.
Sorry the junkyard trip wasn't what you'd hoped. The car is looking fantastic and it will probably run forever given the care you're taking in the resto. Also I love that the preorder shirt is "right hand logo" 😂
Harry in Toronto Here = Sarah great job sourcing, fabricating and locating your new fuse box. It looks bold and purposeful! That car is coming into focus and looking tough. Great vision.
The problem with the short rubber hoses is that they have a habit of coming loose when the engine is twisting under load, and the short braided hoses just love to break. Remember to leave enough flexing capability in the connection for when you start giving it the spinach & beans. 😜 BTW Thanks so much for the merch. I can't wait to try them on. Cheers
If you want to check out Angel & I’s video over on his channel “Rookie Pilot” it’s up now here on UA-cam. Also the link to my store is above in the video description.
you should give yourself a new job title after this one 'mechtrician youtuber'
International shipping. Yay!
You need a 3D printer to make your own plugs.
Your efforts shine through in your videos. 👍🏻
I would be satisfied if my purchased merch was delivered as promised. To be clear, I am not blaming you, but it sure would be nice to either actually get what I ordered, or get a refund. I don’t think waiting over 7 months is being unreasonable.

I would buy that T shirt
Absolutely!
Great idea. Show off all that OCD goodness!
That will be cool
YES!
I play your videos in the waiting room of the mechanic shop I run. People love it.
What a great idea!
Respect for taking the hard road and staying true to an authentic Toyota build.
Thanks!
I am going to pause the solar eclipse so I can totally watch Sarah-N Tuned!
can't touch that.
👍👌👏😁😁😁
A complete rewiring of an entire vehicle is an 80-150 hour job. this is amazing to watch. thank you
30 hours in Sarah time.
Wow...an eclipse and a new Sarah both in one day. Can life get any more spantafically exciting than that?
We had cloudy skies in our area of totality, so it was just a temporary deep dusk. Sarah's video was definitely more entertaining!
Thank you for normalizing all of our OCD. We love you Sarah!
Wiring Sarah is a joy to watch!
Technically....ANY Sarah is a joy to watch.
Part of the reason why I like this series is that the way Sarah says "Celica" is adorable.
Sell leak ah!
Yes I suppose that is the American way.
A fuse box that meets both the aesthetic side and the needs of the modern engine. Nicely done! This is why I follow you.
Wait until you see what I hatched up for the AC
You are such a weirdo. A smart one to boot. Two qualities I appreciate. You are my fav car nerd on YT and I watch quite a few. Don’t ever change.
Sarah, it is your attention to detail that keeps us following this conversion but your off beat humour makes it all the more enjoyable.
I'd love to see a couple of Toyota CEO's visit Sarah's shop during this project - I'd bet they'd leave you with a pretty sizable check, and a smile of appreciation
As an engineer who's been around a long time, I'm in awe of your technical knowledge and dedication to doing things the right way. Thanks Sarah!
Karen and Angel are super adorable, cool new merch too!
It is such a pleasure watching Sarah put her OCD to work while building this Celica.
Definitely the best build series on You Tube right now. ❤
Agreed, that's why I make sure that I never miss any of the videos on it.
Yayyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I am a member, and a Patron. Love you. You are a bright spot, in a sometimes dark world.
The oil control valves are solenoid operated valves that control oil flow to the vvt. it would be B+ and PCM pulse width modulating ground.
Hi Sarah! It's totally OK to throw in an occasional "Check out the merch in my store" to remind us it's there. I think a fun shirt would be the foam finger pointing at 10 cookies with one of your clever quips.
Great timing. I just finished watching Angel's video from the scrap yard 😀
Great day Sarah and Angel both posted new videos!! Just finished Angel’s video then Sarah’s came thru. Celica is coming along great. Great so far!!
I didn’t appreciate how complicated car engines are until I watched these videos. Sarah has my admiration after seeing this.

No SEMA
@@SarahnTuned 🤔😢
4 years now since i found this channel and i haven't missed even one video on either channel and watched some more than once please don't change a thing .
You're doing an awesome job with everything! Thank you for taking us along with your projects.
Love your attention to detail.
Loving how the Celica is looking now, thanks Sarah 🙂
Best channel on UA-cam. You rock, Sarah. 💖💖💖
Great new site shop-sarahntuned, Karen and Cookie Angel did a great job.
Of course about you too.
I finally figured out what type of gaming channel this is! It's a live action Car Mechanic Simulator and occasionally a live action driving game! Such a cool video gaming channel idea, do it all as live action, amazing!!!
When you finish the Celica I want it on a T with 70's graphics, it was a child hood favorite of mine, Cheers.
Thanks!
This is why I’m here, you stay true to your build and make things work that probably shouldn’t work. Keep it up!
Truly digging the Celica build.
Another insane wiring episode. I'm impressed.
Sister can slap in a classicVW beetle wiring harness like it's nothing. 😁
Now a 70s Celica as tho child's play. 😁
Just ordered a shirt the process was seamless 👏👏10/10
OMG!! I am so happy about the Merch! I skipped the last giveaway due to the shipping/customer service issues. I hope this works out because I can't do that again the way it was.
Yeah it was a mess but I was stuck in a contract
The level of detail you’re putting into this car is beyond belief. It’s awesome!
Glad to see you adopting the Puddin's Fab Shop merch method - fresh designs, limited quantities, frequent inventory purges. Let the Foodcakes go wild!
Sarah, in the help/wiring section in the pclink software has an example of a pinout for the 2uz for the sensors. wiring information>varible valve timing (vvt) solenoids>specific vvt applications>toyota 2uzfe vvt wiring. Happy nerding.
So much work has gone into this car and making these videos. Thank you Sarah it's appreciated ❤
Success and credit is well and truly deserved, cheers from Australia!!
The Sarah-n-Tuned/Rookie Pilot crossover we’ve been waiting for!
Your OCD on the details is what makes the videos so enjoyable!

I had a 1980 SR5 pickup like the one in the scrap yard. Mine was white with the silver graphics package. What a fun little truck that was!
Ermahgerd both Food Cakes are adorable! XD
"both food cakes" 😆
Kudos on your wiring skills and patience🎉
If I was a millionaire I’d hire you to restore research and rescue first generation Toyota. The care and attention to detail that you take is incredible.
Like a 92 Supra completely updated but with original drivetrain
I’m glad you’re willing to put out an option for us to be able to support you since we love your content.
Whoa this made my day! My first car was a 77 ST in the late 80's. Loved it! Managed to trade up to an mk1, then mk2, then mk3 supra. The 83 was my favorite car ever! Your 82 restoration is fantastic!

I love the detail. I could watch you figure out wiring all day.
This is a nice surprise!
I love how in-depth you get with the explanations for how everything works in the electrical system. I feel smarter after watching your wiring videos. And I love how you make it all OEM like it would have come from factory if they made such a thing. Or better even.

(2) Suggestions.
1. Save that little white mini truck from the crusher and convert it to an EV.
2. Foam finger t-shirt!!
This is peak Sarah.
(Also, love that you and Angel are so tight - bought him a harness so ya'll can wire things together, gettin' his gal involved in the merch, still doin' junkyard trips. I'm jealous - Wish I had a car buddy like that!)
I like Tomorrow, always feels positive 😮.
Theres engineering of cars, and then theres "Sarah's" engineering of cars.
Some people crochet, some people knit, then we have Sarah…. Awesome!
Always a joy watching Sarah , going over the top on details , that is going to be an impressive celica when finished
Just amazing, your projects are great and your attention to detail is spot on. Love your wit.
I want a “tengo una tortuga en mi pantalones” T-shirt. 😂
7:10 back in the 1980s I worked at sears, when I owned my 76 TA28 Celica, and I had a customer named Orangejello Lemonjello. True story.
Sarah you are very thoughtful as to the audience and the camera. Thank you.
More challenges ahead….love watching your journey.
This project is pure genius! 👍
Hey Sarah, at 8:17 the OCV is a solenoid valve that opens and closes, allowing oil pressure to the cam phasers.
Yeah I was over complicating it in my head, so used to aerospace ground equipment being way more PFM based electrically when cars are simple lol.
Hello from France ! you are amazingly talented ! It's a treat to watch someone work with so much attention to details :-) keep it up Sarah
❤ welcome Mrs. ANGEL ❤
Great accomplishment
today Sarah...👍🤠
You are amazing, It’s incredible that you are able to do the wiring loom and make it look easy. Brilliant. I would try to attempt it myself. Love your work.
I have great admiration for your ability to design and construct wiring harnesses for your cars.
This is an amazing build, and your attention to detail is second to none. I am looking forward to the first drive.
Dang, junkyard finds are gold.
I have a 97' 4 runner that might be able to benefit from such gold.
Great vid as always.
Love the nod to Robotech 👍

Just checked my lint buildup....it could provide light for a city of 100k.

Karen is a laugh! Great logo for a t-shirt..'I have a turtle in my pants' just love it!
Harry in Toronto Here = Sarah great job sourcing, fabricating and locating your new fuse box. It looks bold and purposeful! That car is coming into focus and looking tough. Great vision.
Listen to those A-10's flying overhead from Luke's AFB! Used to have those here at Richard Gabauer AFB and then moved to Whiteman AFB.
The problem with the short rubber hoses is that they have a habit of coming loose when the engine is twisting under load, and the short braided hoses just love to break. Remember to leave enough flexing capability in the connection for when you start giving it the spinach & beans. 😜
BTW Thanks so much for the merch. I can't wait to try them on. Cheers
I wish we had junkyards like that in the UK where you can just get whatever you want. Great video!
Thanks Sarah - you are completing a dream of modifying my 74 Celica ST 🙏🏼🫵🏼🪨🔧🔩⚙️
Glad to see Mr. Cake, feel like its been a minute. Mrs. Cake seems lovely and in charge.
Don't change anything about the format of this show.
It is perfect.
The two short reference made my morning. Thank you.
After this epic build. I hope u take a vacation. U deserve it. 😊
I'm Glad you spammed your merch the shirts are really cool. I can't wait until your Celica is done, you are doing an amazing job!
