R.I.P Rico Wade. Dungeon Family, Organized Noise, know that your music has shaped my journey as a middle-aged black man (55 yrs.) young!
Speak to it. So much of who I am as a human being, as a Southern, Black Man from Middle GA is indeed the Dungeon Family. I don't know how soon I would have found my true self if I had not been introduced to Organized Noice, through Rico Wade, on Playa's Ball.

Big Boy's verse in the beginning is the reason why this song is a great classic! Bring back memories; Summer 94, 95, 96! 👍🏾

Never been to the South, but whenever I think about Southern rap, OutKast is the first thing that comes to mind. These guys influenced a whole generation, I don't think they get enough credit.

The Greatest DUO of AllTime inmho.
Right on
Summer of 94 ... i went to visit my family in yazoo Mississippi that's was one of the best Summer of my life, that outkast cd was playing all that Summer... great memories
This is the South that really had something to say!!
This is an underrated Outkast song. It should've got more recognition.
U crazy bro.....it was hella hyped and lived up to it even now in 2018
Wanye Kest it couldn't cause New York, and west coast was hating on them. But later on everyone waa copying the south's style
It wasn't very underrated. I mean I'm from Los Angeles and I remember my big cousin John would be bumping this in his 92 Jetta hard when it came out and we're all the way on the other side of the country
well back when the source about something, the album got 4 and a half mics, one of the main reasons was the smooth organized noise on the beat
@@ChromeTecNina im from Los Angeles and this is one of my favorite Outkast songs... This and spottieottiedopaliscouse
Man it don't matter where you from this goes hard. I am a Northeast/NY brotha, born in 75, came up in the 90's Generation X, and had the privilege of experiencing the rap renaissance where everything coast to coast was banging. In 93, the year a graduated H.S. this was bumping out my speakers, and now in 2015 as I sit in my corporate office at my desk eating sushi at lunch this is bumping out my speakers.
thats what I'm talking about.👌
Haha hell yeah!!
That part.
Geno M
Yep real hip hop doesn’t matter we’re you from
When I hits this hard it can’t be denied!!!!
Yes!!!! NY born here.
"Time to drop these 'bows like Dusty Rhodes then I yell ho!"
Some 22 years later... STILL one of the sickest lines 3 Stacks ever spit!
I love you
James Neese oh!
Hell Yeah
Facts bruh
Hoooooooooo!!!!! Hacksaw Jim Dugan voice
Atlanta in the 90s was beautiful!!!
Gorgeous...
Also in the early 2000s
This Album was released today 30 trips around the sun ago. Cheers to the classics.
the relaxed vibe you get from this song is unreal. especially when the hook comes on

Pretty Tony and Goodie made the hook and track…
The album that started it all.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ppl took ATL seriously after this album we were a joke before that
Yes it did I swear your comment warmed my heart ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
the flow and transitions are perfection
Outkast paved the way for hip hop to expand. Most authentic hip hop ever made.
Debra Killings was killing it in the background Hooks🔥🔥🔥❤💃
This song is what got me to start listening to OutKast. We weren't hearing much southern music here in NYC at that time 🔥
Andre’s last Verse was just 🔥🔥🔥💪 We Rolling True Atlanta Skies Be BLue.💯
This joint made me a fan and I never stop being one. I met them in person once and happy that I did.
Why Is This Underrated
Took me back to the good ol days man I miss the 90’s
Damn I miss this time
I was in 8th grade and my brother always listened to this. This album created my tastes in music. It is sonically perfect in every way!!!
👌
Gambit Wilson true
Exactly
This joint still bangs in 2025!! TIMELESS ✨
This song is almost 30 years old and still just as fresh as yesterday...
There are very few musicians who come along and appeal to everyone under the sun. One is Sublime, another is Bob Marley of course, and needless to say Outkast.
This was the ish.... Did not matter where you were from when this came out.......DAMN
Now, THIS is the Atlanta that I missed before reality television came in and DESTROYED the city.
FKAMrMoorEnt From Real Housewives of Atlanta to Love & Hip-Hop!! SMDH
M X X R E I was born too late in the 90's to experience the ATL back then but I can def agree that reality TV shows ruined the city and our television as well. Mumble rap did too.
Dont worry you look good to us here in asia
You hav Donald Glover
Immaculate Eloquence what country in Asia are you from?
Ever since pimp c told the truth about ATL men it's not the same he told us the truth
I almost cried listening to this and remembering our days as youngins. I'll be 39 next week
👍
Nothing like the old school.✌🏾
ua-cam.com/video/f3a_si4A1vQ/v-deo.html
I love old school hip-hop and I'm only 21. Damn this song hits hard.
If u wanna cry about outkast. Listen to13floor ,. Or thought process
Same!
I was born in '91, the youngest of my siblings, and they would play all their rap tapes, especially OutKast, all the time. So happy I got to grow up with this.
“The South Got Something To Say!!!”
I still remember that like it was yesterday.
😉
Now its just Mumble Mumble Mumble Mumble 🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣
That Andre 3000, was the mouth piece for the South, especially when he said, "The South has something to say," at the Source Awards. That was a very classic saying back then and we needed that at a time, when we didn't have a voice in the South. Anyway, Dre killed his verse on this song. Big Boy handled his own on this song too. Great song and one of my favorites from Outkast. I was 14, when this song came out. Classic and it never gets old.
The greatest duo then and now and for ever💯
Watching the begining of the GOATS! This was it !
One of the best rap songs ever.
people Disliked this song that's bad
But the like to dislike Ratio is incredible and well deserved.
This is one of the greatest songs of all time
Greatest group from the city of Atlanta, matter of fact these legends put Atlanta hip hop on the map!! 👑👑
Andre 3000 came hard on this track. You would have thought he was a dope boy gangster. I met dude and he down to earth.
really!!
really on meeting "dude"
hell yeah
+Donnell Wright Yeah I met at the airport in Atlanta.
Russell Adams They sold green
OG OUTKAST#1 LEGENDARY LEGENDS!
This (Mac) was always my favorite rapper, 1st respected lyrically MC out da south. Been listening to Mac since "Li'l Mac - I need wheels."
Southernplayerlisticadilicmuzik🗣️
You hear it all here! OutKast took it all and put it together here. A menagerie of hip hop, funk, and soul!
Truly one of the best compositions ever recorded. Simply put.
Groundbreaking and Earth shattering.
summer o '94 we had this playin .....,griggs n francis, playin cards chillin , never gets old💖30 years!!
The SOUTH always had something to say!! These guys make me so proud to be from Georgia and glad I grew up listening to them.
Exactly, from the Eastside!!! Wesley Chapel and Snapfinger
Represent!
I'm a sista from the Midwest. My first love look just like Andre. He was from Killeen Texas. We bumped this all the time. Great memories. 💕💕💕💕
Texas!
Too many later fans sleep on the debut. This is a classic. They brought the funk to hip hop in a very southern, very groove oriented and laid back. Classic
I remember when this album came out in 93-94, I begged my mama could we move to Atlanta!! lol I just wanted to be there in the midst of it all. RIP Rico Wade. What a loss Hip-Hop just took!!!
The synergy between these two artists is incredible!☯
Gemini and Aquarius...they named one of their albums, "Aquemeni"..
#nothingbutAIR , baby.
Damn, I miss OutKast. They need to do one more album together!
just one please, get up eith them and organized to do they beats and we got a classic 4 sho
YES TRUE THAT😘😘
Only if they'll be rapping to beats with a 90's rap tempo and style. Not this 2020 garbage...
I say “I miss OutKast” so often. No joke
I love this song
The only two boys who made us all happy,,,laugh,,,cry and eat and smoke 💨 while they were in 🎉a party 🎈,,,proud with the best food 🥘 weeding and drinking the best beer 🍺 and liquor 🍸,,,,,,,life is up to them and their families with love 💗 for each other……😂❤😊
God dang I've listening to this song since it dropped in '93 and I'm now just realized how perfect it is! Not one line wasted. Pure flow 🔥🔥🔥
Man I miss this era and all the greatness that came with it. I remember rushing home after school to was Rap City the Basement. 2 of the Greatest🔥
Yes. Watching 106 and park. Best days! Wish I could rewind and relive those days. No pressure, no bills, just school and friends. No social media. Actual music videos. Everything was so simple
Big Tig!
90's was the best era for hip-hop, don't fight me on this
Truth is truth!
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL TIME !!!!
Bumpin this in high school and still bangin it now.
classic right here
RIP Rico wade, my God I remember when this came out we just had to ride from Athens ga to ATL to get that vibe and just be in the city.
This is truly some Southernplayalisticadilliacmuszik.
I miss that time terribly 🙏
Straight up classic
Thank God UA-cam exists
One of the best creations ever 💯

Agree, I'm from Serbia, would be hard to find this considering it came out 30 years ago
Outkast are the real legends of atlanta.
This song will forever be my jam
Lauren B you are dope my friend 💪 😎
This song right here made a nigga proud to be from the south.
Outkast got a legendary discography!!!
This is greatness being born. Legends!!
Honestly, I was into other Outkast music and always ignored this song for some strange reason. Wrong. One of their best!
This is Westside, California all day long, but when OutKast drop this here boy; NOBODY was seeing them and I mean NOBODY from the Westcoast to the Eastcoast. Andre 3000 and Big Boi put ATL and the Dirty South on their backs and made a statement. I STILL pump this album and its my absolute favorite one from the Magnificent Duo. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik go and get that and put it in your life.
@TheMrProtocol Scaface too. He also put on Gangsta rap just as much as anybody else could've.
Word Up!💯
That's respectable of you to say brutha. Salute to you.
I agree. Even with the other artists above mentioned, respectfully, Outkast made the biggest impact to the South!!
This my favorite too memories
When Boi and 3000 were so raw. Still loving this in 2015
The beat alone is not your typical hip hop beat... It’s literally a funky/ jazz song with raps over it🔥🔥😍genius!!!
Exactly.
on this song they just emulated what the west coast was doing back then.
@@LaidbackSounds yeah but they actually did it better.
Organized Noize is to blame. These were the best years in hip hop in my opinion
well this beat is part of history now- bruh!
The south got something to say 🙌
I’m happy that I got to experience this Atlanta. Freaknik era. Deion sanders falcons n braves. They will never know.
I'm a 90's babies. literally the last era of partying with no care in the world. that house party looks chill and lit af. I wanna go Atlanta and kick it like this
Tonisha Henderson I'm from the Atl and I still live here and this video is just like how Atlanta used to be we had so much fun and the house parties were lit! Don't get me wrong my city is still the ish it's just that so many peeps from everywhere else living here
I was born and raised in the A and it ain't like this no more
Been in the ATL since 1980. The 90s were the best years ever! Wish I could go back to these days... still in ATL and nothing is even close to this and hasn't been in 25 years or so...
tonisha, exact same here
outkast had great albums but this will always be their best IMO
Brandon Reekie Aquemini is a beautiful album.
Their first 3 albums are classics to me but this album is my favorite, I like the whole playalistic feel to it.
very true, the second is my favorite. i loved their first album but i felt like it was trying so hard to be a hit, some of the rap turned to hip hop. this album is the best. the words are sharp and shows the most expression, i agree with you 100%
what do you mean with 'some of the rap turned into hip hop' ?
Ironcity418 No
Classic album
It's criminal that this CLASSIC only has 3.8 million views?
I was in the 10th grade when this came out. Im still jamming this at 45. Good music is timeless
Its that southerplayalisticcaddilac funky music
Now Players if you choose it
You better make sure you don't abuse it
We gonna get you high, high
This will forever be my first ❤️ in rap music I grew up listening to this music all ways will be my first ❤️
Memories from a legendary group!!
Man o man I went college down there during that time...miss this kinda music ❤❤❤I
Teeeelll me this isn't one of the funkiest hooks from the Kast, many years later listening but will come back to this forever!
Big Boi's flow was the dopest thing Id ever heard as a teen
My late teens, how miss them days
Woooo still in 2023 jammin these historical slaps. God bless music and the people who produced it for us to all enjoy.
In my opinion outcast is the king of the south
I'm 41 I was on that video set I was 12-13 it was the weekend of freak-nik I saw puffy, goodie mob, other artists... When I lived in Lakewood I used to always see the dungeon family sitting on the porch before they became famous 👑
Outlast was only 21 year old when this album came out. So much talent in 2 young men.
Facts.
17 actually
Brings back childhood memories. Absolutely love it. I'll be the old man playing this in the garage fosho.
song for song man... i dont think i skipped a song on this album..
Donnell Wright how can one do so? 😂
This is one of the best freshman drops in any genre. Then to follow up with ATLiens & Aquemini (one of my favorite albums ever) ...
now that's legendary. Those 3 are where the greatest hits are if you ask me.
The beauty of hip hop is how culturally diverse it is. 90's Hip Hop shows black culture differently throughout the United States but its all still the same. From the fashion to the cars we drive from coast to coast, Hip Hop captures all parts of black culture.
2020!!!!!!!! still fire!
Yezzir.
When I think of Southern Hip Hop, this song instantly comes to mind! 🎶 “The South got something to say!”
This version of 3Stax is unfuckwitable this is Gangsta 3K
Big boi and Andre 3000 are the realist o.g. kings that represents from south side of ATL Georgia
I ain't gonna lie but southernplaylisticadillacmuzik is gotta be the best album that ever been came out in year of 1994
It's so hard
Wish they need to come out with another album maybe one more
We need em these guys
They can rap defitnely be bring some heat with those dope funky lyrics
I'm 41 and just reminiscenting on when I used to go to under 18 and under clubs😔
The South will always have something to say, even in the moment of silence. Thanks Outkast, for putting that "pep in my step," when my spirit needs lifting. THE PARTY DON'T STOP, happy birthday, Big Boi
