Lyrics:
All the players came from far and wide
Wearing afros and braids, kicking them gangsta rides
Now I'm here to tell you there's a better day
When the player's ball is happening, all day ery'day
#OutKast #PlayersBall #OfficialHDVideo #HD #Remastered
RIP RICO WADE!! Legend of southern rap!!
OutKast was the hardest group to ever come out the ATL
Wrong! The whole south
Nah, from the whole Earth
Still izz
I mean you can't forget about Migos though, not saying they're better but they're up there, of course Outkast is more popular and iconic, but you can't go against what Migos has done
"We da coolest mothafawckas on the planet" - outkast
Player's Ball is officially 30 years old. Released on November 19th, 1993.
Damn this is so updated raps better than 1990s gangster raps.
This shit damn near 30 years old and still the best Christmas song around
& its still better than this trash nowadays
Destinys child christmas song is very good, TLC christmas song is cool too, but I guess you'd consider them corny lol
@@bluecrystalpalace TLC is not corny.. TLC is part of hip hop history.
true
Hell yeah!^^
Andre Ben and Big Boi were 17 years old when they did this...chew on that for a second...
Yep. They always refer to that first album as a Dungeon Family album. The whole crew got behind Outkast. Created some monsters
@@brotherLee340 her err e r

So young!!
Top 5 favorite song
Coming from a New Yorker...Dungeon Family is the Greatest.... R.I.P Rico Wade
I had the pleasure of meeting Andre 3000. I was doing stock work at Brooks Brothers in Midtown, Manhattan at the time, and he was promoting his movie 'Four Brothers'. We chatted for like 3 minutes about how to make it in the Music industry. He's easily the most chill and humble celebrity I've come across. Just an all around dope dude.
Interested in knowing what he said about how to make it in the music industry
@@moonknight352 haha true story.
If that was the conversation, I'm assuming someone brought it up, I mean you just don't start a conversation about music when you meet someone. So I'm assuming it was you, so did you make it in the music industry?
@@beatzwire7537He didn't say anything, and if he did this person obviously didn't take what he said and apply it to themselves. If they had, they would be known by now.🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
@beatzwire7537 he said that performing was very important: basically when you're an up and coming artist, it's important to get your name out there. We mainly talked about his old school stuff (I mentioned 'Southerplayaisticadillacmuzik' being one of my favorite HH albums).
Outkast will forever be the real Southern Hospitality!!!!
No doubt..!!
***** yes i see!!
***** Thank you and much respect!!

God dammit not again XD
R.I.P. Rico Wade. Thank you for making the Noize...Organized.

The South Got Something To Say 💯

This is the best non traditional Christmas song think I've heard. It's lost on many people even with the jingle bells in the background and the multiple holiday references.
CJ Love i mean but they literally say "when the players ball i happening on Christmas day"
This mix for the music video says "on Christmas day", but there's another mix with a few additional production effects over the verses (I can't remember which were released in which formats - radio edits, vinyl, CD, cassette, who knows which versions were used for different digital platforms when those came along) that changes it to "all day e'ry day". All the other references are still there, of course.
@@JohannVII Yeah, an annotation of the lyrics for Player's Ball on Genius says the lyric was modified so the song would have appeal past the holiday season as it was rising quickly in the charts.
The song was originally released on LaFace's Christmas Album. They asked Kast to do a Christmas song and they were like Christmas is just another day for us.
The sleigh bells on this track dope as hell!
Still bumping in 2020.... OutKast forever.
My G!!!
Lil case no favors
Currently..

🤞🔥
What's with this beat. Song changed over night!? I just listened to the original yesterday! Crazy
For real! I was like am I tripping? It's also censored
Right the clean version boompin too
This is the reprise at the end of the album.
They're just rapping to that reprise or remix of Player's Ball.
It was on the B-side tape version when it came out
Right? The other version doesn't have that piano in the beat and the intro was not accompanied by it also. They changed it from one day to another and the other video is deleted
Big Boi's flow is so iconic
He’s that dude
For real, Big Boi's flow on this song is his best. Not speaking ill of Dre, both dudes killed it.
this song was tight as hell
I agree
R.i.p Rico Wade "nuttun but dem Lacs"
Cruisin' through the streets of Houston, TX jammin' this tape from one of Atlanta's best blowin' on a sweet. Good ole' days. All you youngsters out there remember your youth while your having fun because once it's gone believe me it's gone. God Bless and Peace....

+Eric Casarez I bet you are really hungry you look like a fat fuck
Forever pimpin', never slippin', that's how it is
BIG BOI DA SHIT!
Check it!!
Relax In Paradise Rico Wade 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You really have to respect Big Boi for sticking with his homie through his weird evolution of style and fashion. A lot of so called street niggas would not have done that.
true
Real talk
Whose to say that Andre didn't find Big Boi "weird" when he went through his so called pimp days and stuck with him? I get where you're coming from but that's what made them so unique.
nmorgan24 So true man! I dont think big boi gets enough props, not just for sticking with Andre but for his rapping skill. I think its really overlooked
nmorgan24 Comments like this is why "Return of the G" was written
Rest up Rico wade💯🙏🏾
Anyone else is going through all their favorite jams thinking about how life was back in the days? Damn I miss my younger self ✌🏼️
❤❤
This song came out at such an innocent time.
Me 2. God Bless
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon is also jamming to all his favorite 90's and early 2,000 tunes!!!! He's VERY GRATEFUL TO BE born In The 90's when OutKast was getting more and more popular!!!!!👍
Yes indeed
I LOVE this version with the reprise track in the background! The original is dope too! But this one?! 🔥🔥🔥
Almost 30 years later and they still dropping heat. 3stacks on Killer Mike's record 🔥 Big Boi's last 3 albums 🔥. Now if we can just get an official Kast album.
That's Rico in the intro ,True plAyer rest in peace my brother
Dam Andre...killed it
Checkin in on my favorite xmas song. Its that time a year again 12/22/23.

Organized Noize. One of the greatest producers of all time. Shout out to Dre and Boi also, brought Atlanta to the limelight.
Honestly man one of the best to ever do it fr
you know, brother. cheers!
Outkast won a lot of arguments with the label to go so experimental. Legends!
@@ciaranfinn4466 Andre appeared on a song with TLC back then they’re from Atlanta
Organized Noize definitely put Atlanta sound on the map before timberland, metro boomin, and many others

Greatest CHRISTMAS song of ALL-time !!!
No MUMBLING! "OUTKAST" TRUE LYRACISTS!!!🔥🔥🔥😎 THIS IS WHAT REAL RAP SOUNDS LIKE...🎼🎶🎵🎹
💯
Yup
Ironic to bring up mumble rap considering the South gave us that too unfortunately. Love OutKast though!
Little known fact..the success of outkast first cd..gave la face records confidence toward putting out more rap..as babyface and l.a. Reid didn't like rap music.
@Paul LA Reid was around a rapper Left Eye from TLC
The GREATEST GROUP in the entire history of Hip Hop! (The South Got Somethin to Say!!!)
R.I.P. Rico Wade thank you for being the Godfather of Southern Hip Hop
I remember watching this as a teen in 94 on Rap City, my intro to Outkast, didn't know who he was and his contributions until years later. Legendary. R.I.P
😢
Always love childhood
This song came out 92 93 Bone Came out the same time.
Rest up King , we got you.
“Am I meant to grow old and long just like my daddy”! “Best bar ever”!! 💯 💪🏾!!
While Arrested Development wanted to leave Atlanta and go to Tennessee, Big Boi and Dre was in the Dungeon cooking up a certified classic...
fuck arrested development tbh
Arrested Development are amazing can't deny that.
Brotha To The Night I just watched that unsung episode lol.
Arrested Development was originally from Milwaukee. #funfact
@@tonyprimera4308 Wow. You must be young, or ignorant as hell.....
Back when ATL was real😢😢😢😢
Christmas of 93/early 94 this was my song. I remember being a kid & falling in love with hip hop around this time. Illmatic, ready to die, southernplayalisticadillacmusik, midnight marauders, & the diary were classic albums! 94 was arguably the best year in rap!
July 2023... and the track still slaps to this day!!! Also, Andre three stacks killed it... #bars
Today is the 30th anniversary of this album coming out. It all started here. The sound was new to everyone, but I was hooked immediately.
Man.....this song is classic Andre was going hard then... love love him
A Black Man's Heaven!!!!
Shout out to Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs for directing this video
Fell in love with this song quickly made me wanna go even harder with my music salute to the OG’s 🫡💯 and salute to Sleepy Brown with the phenomenal hook 🤦🏾♂️🔥

The song that started it all by bringing attention to the Dungeon Family and Atlanta world wide
That moment when u realize that this is a Christmas song...
Christian Bessard a Christmas song
Valencio Danes This is the Christmas version though lol. The chorus says "The player ball is happening on Christmas Day." that's the easiest way to tell.
Christian Bessard 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Whatever! I'm enjoying the Christmas bells in this song! 🎄🎄
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...
It's Christmas in October then
RIP Carl B. Thanks Bro for bring me to Outcast been loving them ever since ❤❤❤❤

This Is When I Started Loving Outkast
Their second verse was fire
It takes talent to rap like this❤
This album changed my life 1993, this💩 was different...world wide🤩
I wish there was a way to find all of the cool dope ass old school songs like this. I know a lot of the hits, and some rarer ones from my sister (I'm 25, she's 30) but there are many good tracks that slipped through the cracks purely because I wasn't old enough for this type of music at the time. Someone, please make an amazing playlist for me that doesn't include the very obvious hits :)
My friend get old school cats you respect and pick their brain and ask them about the hip hop of the 90's. They will school you about it and you will get what you need. Feel sorry for what you have to listen to these day's.
Chase Pipkins Agreed!
Chase Pipkins HAHA You feel sorry for him? He's 25. I'm 17 and I had to start from scratch. I just learned of Gang Starr today sadly... I thought Guru was specifically by himself, until I heard his beats by DJ Premier. Musicccc to my ears.
Detroit Reppin
Keep it on the good foot then. Can't go wrong starting with Guru and Premier. Now hit up some Brand Nubian, Goodie Mob and Compton's most Wanted for three of the best from three different regions. East, South and West.
I certainly will. Do you consider groups like Mobb Deep, Geto Boys, and Wu-Tang 90's mainstream? I mean, I was a youngin so Idk.
Idk why this version wasn’t on the album
I remember recording all these classics on VHS, rap city with big tigger...I miss the freestyles at the end...Then id play all the videos commercial free!!!!!!! u gotta push pause on commercials= crazy shit we did back in the day!!!
I remember my ma told me was in the same highschool class as Big Boi and He used to rap to everything even class projects she asked him why you rap all the time and he told her this what i do then this video drop a year after that lol
Justin Johnson yo mama lucky as hell
Tri-Cities High School - East Point, GA 💯
Cool story bro..........
No Here Kruger don’t hate
Did I ask
This song made me move to Atlanta from Indiana to find the dungeon...I did. It changed my life. 🙏#ricowade rest in peace king 👑
Andre and Big Boi would jog and rap at the same time to train their lungs to do longer verses, thats fkn commitment to game.
Remember these dayz guys? ❤ times were much ez going, wish i could go back. Especially seen the ones that are no longer with us. Rip 🙏 and to rico wade 🕊
Merry Christmas Playas
These guys deserve their fortune.
I definitely agree!
Man, the good ol days, yes indeed sir, I was happy and I didn't know it 😭🔥🔥👑💯👌
One of my favorite songs growing up
still one of my favorite songs and groups
No doubt!!1
Still bumping this track in 2021 .
Just finding out about this in 2021
Still my FAVORITE christmas song !!
The SOUTH got something to say! 404🆙
Best rap group ever!
So many people sleep on Big Boi
More consistent that Andre.
Big Boi Do Got Them Verses and Andre Got The Rhythm
Crazy how he evolved. He hit his prime on ATLiens, and his combinations/delivery have been on point every since. Dre had better lyrics back then which is odd, because he outgrew rap.
I agree 100 with this but I think especially in this time they were lifting each other up.
I don't. I've always thought that Big Boi is just as Dope As Dre....
Dedman still the one of illest. Sick rhymes all day long. Blew my mind when i first heard Johnny guitar Watson on one of his tracks. ✌️
This is my favorite outkast song

Me three, partly because it's the first one I heard. (honorable mention Ms. Jackson)

Its crazy how young they are here. Big Boi sounds way different now. Miss this kinda music
Andre in the 90s was fuckin insane on the Mic. Big Boi though he brought that slick shit and was smooth with it they were definitely top 10 to come up outta the 90s.
sleepy brown on the hook
I wanna go to the old Atlanta. No wonder why my parents relocated to Atlanta in 2001
