Absolutely wonderful rendition of what is the best song in a long and illustrious catalogue of great love songs by Mr Gedge. This is the pinnacle of The Wedding Present - not much in life, if anything, gets better than this.
I absolutely love this song, and every track off of Bizarro. David's voice has really mellowed with time. Gone is the growl when he sang "If there's noTHING that I want more..." on the studio version of Bewitched. Don't get me wrong, I loved the old growl, but it's good that his vocals have evolved to keep the songs as fresh as the day they were written. I'd love to see these guys live one day... wish they'd play at Glastonbury.
Nice one David, great recording. Thank fck you ditched Cinerama. Terrible last gig I was at ( and there's been a few ). Been to Weddoes gigs since and you lot are rockin@ again thank fck.
to think this greatness pre-dates the much lauded, but formulaic averageness that came out of Seattle in the early 90s. DG doesn't have much luck with the ladies, judging by the staggeringly good (lost) love songs he writes.
Eww. Really don't like the other musicians - they manage to make fucking brilliant great music sound rather generic. The first 30 seconds make my point very clear.

Totally authentic, honest, non-commercial talent.
