IMPRESSED! I have searched so many online designers/decorators re: colors and even talked to local color design help at paint stores or they came to my home. You are the only one to take into consideration the flooring carpet and talk about that. Thanks. I was between cloud white, simply white, white dove for trims and doors. Have golden oak wood floors and carpet has yellow undertone. (as well as golden oak kitchen cabinets_) Seems like White Dove is the way to go from what you said… (Trying to change our the Bone White that was there when we moved in years ago as the trim/doors looks dirty and hard to match any colors with it)

Hello, I want to use the same soft, velvety, creamy looking color throughout my home. I have dark chocolate laminate and pinkish beige tile floors. What do you suggest would work? The pinkish tile looks great against the dark brown flooring if that's helpful.

We're about to paint an empty town house ( maple floors and kitchen) which we will rent out. There's not much natural light and the living room is facing north. I was thinking Alabaster SW but now I wonder if White Dove would be more suitable. I want the space to feel warm and neutral. Help?
@@claudiavalentini1077 my living room is also north facing and decided to paint pure white but it doesn’t look good. Since I have windows in two different walls the undertones look different on each wall. One looks greenish and the other blue. Thinking of white dove....did you paint the space yet?
Jacob, I have an oak staircase and matching raised panel wood up the stairs. Living room only has a large patio door looking for a crisp bright white to brighten the room and hallway up stairs as well as compliment wood. sofa is light gray
I painted my RV walls for the main living space Swiss Coffee ! I love it! I need to keep it light colors since the space is SO small. I want to make it dimensional though. I was thinking White Dove for the cabinets. I bought Lowes cabinets that are ready to be painted. I am going back and forth between White Dove and Decorators White for the cabinets. Ceiling is also Swiss Coffee and my floors are dark and light brown vinyl faux wood planks floating -mis-matching on purpose. The floor undertones are yellow and oddly grey.

What is the undertone of white dove? You never say. Can you explain or repeat why white dove was making those paints look old?

Thinking about using Benjamin Moore White Dove in a condo that I'm moving into. Benjamin Moore White is used on the crown/chair rail molding and also fireplace mantel. Don't want to incur expense of repainting molding/mantel and the landlord wants to see some contrast between walls and trim. I want to go as light as possible as it is a dark space. I am in the process of building a home, my style in modern farmhouse, my kitchen will be white cabinets, with open wood shelving, my hardwoods will be red oak with a satin finish, no stain. My furnishings consist of off whites, black accents and wood. The trim in the home along with the ceiling will be white, and I am looking for a warm off white color to paint the entire home with, our bathrooms will have the white subway tile with dark grout and the flooring will be white octagon tiles. I'm trying to give you a visual for our style. I am struggling with all the undertones in white. I came across white dove by benjamin moore in a picture that a designer had done for a laundry room, and it looked stunning, but not I'm simply not sure. Can you help me with some color choices that you recommend.

Thank you for the video it is so helpful, I already have white dove in my house’s walls and I love how inviting and creamy my house looks but I want to change my cabinetry color for a creamy white such us BM Swiss coffee or creamy white but not sure if those colors pair with white dove! Can you please help me!!? I know white dove pairs really well with dark cabinetry but I prefer natural stain oak or alder for the lower cabinets I want my house to look natural organic creamy and inviting!! Hi Jacob, I want to brighten up a fairly dark kitchen with walnut color wood cabinets and north facing windows. I'm considering painting the cabinets in White Dove. I'm also planning to keep a bit of the wood crown moldings and window trims. It's an older house and think the white and wood will look nice. Just wondering if you think White Dove will pair well with any wood color? Also, I've heard you talk about "light reflective value". Does White Dove have a good LRV?

I’m a little confused on undertone. I follow that our perception of color is dependent/relative to the colors they’re paired with, however White Dove OC-17 on the swatch indicates “C” for Cool undertone and “1B” for the base. According to Ben. Moore, White Dove’s undertone is not technically warm but cool, otherwise it would indicate a “W” instead. That’s why I’m confused.
l don't know how Ben Moore classifies White Dove, but we had our kitchen cabinets painted with this color and we love it! They are a soft, slightly creamy white that looks more warm than cool.

Depends on the undertones of the floors, lighting of your space and other colors in your space as well.

hello, i've painted my kitchen cabinets white dove and i have a black wood floor. I want to keep everything light and airy, possibly even white chairs. I will somehow warm it up with fabric and texture but i am not sure what neutral wall color i should use. i painted a little pale oak and it actually seems a little cool??? i also painted rodeo but that seems a little too beige. my countertops are a white/gray quartzite. pleeejeeeeeeze help any suggestions are welcomed. what about chantilly lace? i will be buying all new furniture for this room as well as window treatments so clean slate i love how rand garrett's kitchen looks

Looks like White Dove will work for me. Would you use it for trim and walls? I know some suggest using a cool white for trim.
You mention how, say Snowfall White (with a slightly yellow-green undertone), doesn't go well with pinkish room colors...my question then is: If Green and Red work together (like say classic Christmas colors...opposites/complimentary...if I remember correctly), then why doesn't pink (which is basically red mixed with white) go with green undertones? Is it the yellow that throws things off?

Would White Dove look good with 70's Danish teak furniture? I would like to lighten up the walls which are Revere Pewter at present. There is gray in the kitchen but I don't care for gray walls.
Help I have heaven from Benjamin moore. Absolutely love this colour it's a very pale lavender grey. Only problem is finding a colour that matches it. I was hoping white dove and heaven will work great together in a room.

I'm going to use Jewel beetle from Little Greene on the walls of one east facing room and I need to find matching whites for the ceiling and the trims.
I can only buy from Little Greene or F&B but I'm so confused about their options and how do they "transalte".
Here in Sweden it's mostly dark and the light inside the room is already anyway quite dim and gloomy apart from morning of course.
The ceiling is white now but look quite shadowy and "dirty". I want something more vibrant although not super duper crisp and sterile.
The rest of the colours in the room:
a big closet wall to wall with light natural wood colour, two desks and some shelves in brown black (MICKE & LACK from IKEA), a beige carpet and a white & black carpet.
Also I'm planing for some plants and some golden, warmish purple and teal accents in decorations and fabrics here and there.
I'm have no idea about what undertones, LRV, chroma, I should go for and their customer service is not of a big help.
I'm thinking of Pique for the ceiling and one of the following for the trim:
Loft white or Shirting or Whitening or Silent white pale or Slaked lime from Little Greene and I don't know about F&B colours.
How would Pique "translate" in my case of room?
Any suggestion from the whites I mentioned above or your own suggestion from F&B?
And please some explanation for your suggestion so in can understand how did you choose it?

Hi I’m so confused, I have a large living room with dark grey carpet and the wall paper is pewter Rey with rose gold running through it . I would like a creamy white that will go with very white doors and woodwork. Every time I choose one the undertones confuses me.
I am planning on redoing my kitchen cabinets some type of white, and I have been searching to help me decide what white color paint to go with. My floors are a medium reddish brown oak floor, with a hint of yellow, as far as I can see...in my kitchen. My kitchen is open; as soon as one walks in, it's almost the first thing one sees. Hard to say without any visuals of your space. Depends on your kitchen countertops and backsplash including current main interior wall paint color. White Dove may work, hard to say.
Exterior? Have mostly red brick with white/cream/black. Will paint entire house trim and all this color. Older 80s with rough cedar so it’s just easier. Debating between white dove and alabaster. Input? Please and thank you

Do you think this color might go with new flooring which is greystone oak color. Our older tile in kitchen and foyer has yellowish (unfortunately) and griege tones so need to take this under consideration. Benjaman Moore color tool recommends Owl Gray or Cotton Ball to go with new Bellingham Cambria quartz counter tops. My new cabinets are white. Hoping to find a color that will work for whole downstairs but won't be too dark as house is not bright. I have watched several of your vids. I am going to get samples soon but can't afford too many!...hanks so much!
Hi Barbara, nice to meet you:) I'm not a fan of Benjamin Moore color tool for a lot of reasons. It doesn't factor in lighting, undertones and all the other fixed and furnished elements you may have in your home. Make sure when you pair this paint color with your flooring that it doesn't look dirty or muted. I wish you the best:)

Depends on fixed elements and don’t be surprised if it’s a lot lighter on the exterior of your home. It’s a beautiful exterior paint color and yes, you can pair a charcoal gray like SW Iron Ore.

Hi Jacob. I have been stressing over paint colors for more than 6 months in a 1965 home I bought a year ago. Clearly a blind decorator painted this place. My question to you is can I pair Dove White Trim with Pearly White walls? I think it looks good. I plan to paint the fireplace Gossamer Veil or a like color. We're painting a west/beach facing house / ocean view from top floor in NC. I'm considering white dove for the top floor. We have soft furnishings in the blue/white/beige family, warm mid-brown wood floors. Do you think this is a good choice? Others to consider? What would be a good white for a black and white color modern room scheme for a teen (think LED gaming room). South facing room. Black headboard on East facing side. Black foam insulation texture on west side. Wanted to paint south wall (where windows are) and the north walls all in white to keep the room light. Really would like a true white. In 1 year im about to paint my entire house again for the third time!!! I need new flooring. Carpet or laminate. First i painted creamy white..green!! Then i went to sailcloth..love it on a bright sunny day ..at night or cloudy day its yellow!! I have a lot of gold framed pics and mirrors..couch is off white and the rest of my furniture is cherry and black. Im seriously gonna be comitted soon. Yes you can but I recommend a different sheen. For example matte finish on wall and flat on ceiling.

Hi there, I wouldn't worry so much about lighting in the East room instead the focus should be on on the colors and undertones you have in your fixed and furnished items in the room.

I am renovating a condo and using medium to dark brown floors, the cabinets are mocha. I have a bar that is black. I plain to use some black, brown and tan in the room. Would White Dove work well with that combination? I have struggled between White Dove, Swiss Coffee, Ballet and a SW color Shoji White. I eliminated Alabaster because it looked a little yellow and Greek Villa because it looked a little green.
The kitchen cabinets are mocha.
Hi Jacob, I have a test wall of half BM Balboa Mist and the other half BM Classic Grey. I painted the trim White Dove. The White Dove appears "dirty" when I place it next to these two colors. Does that seem right. The paint assistant at the store suggested the White Dove when I asked for a crisp white to pair with either of these colors.
Hi Conor:) White Dove is the wrong trim color for either one of those paint colors. Hard to say which trim is the right color for your home without any visuals but I would suggest BM Chantilly Lace.
Any idea what the % is to get the BM Revere Pewter to be nice and light? I saw it in another designers video and the sample I got at the store is nothing like what she showed on her cabinets. I lightened it 75% and it was still too dark!

It's tough to say without any visuals of the other undertones that you may have in your room. Both paint colors are beautiful as long as everything is paired correctly. I wish you well:)

Hi Sean, that can happen for several reasons. One, is lighting. Two, reflection of colors from either inside or outside of the home. Those are some of the reasons as for Swiss Coffee I wouldn't be surprised if you have the same issues as you did with White Dove.

Investigating using revere pewter with my Berwyn Cambria counter - also have cristallo backsplash in taupe (gloss and matte) cabinets are called “painted linen” (they are white) - I would like to use the same color from the kitchen throughout the entire main section of the home (hallway - dining room - living room) BUT living room is north facing...thoughts?

I have a mission red brick tile floor in the kitchen (pink undertones would think) and I'm looking for a white that works. I thought White Dove was it, but now I'm not sure. Can you recommend a paint color for our cabinets/walls in the kitchen? Chantilly Lace has also been on our list.

I am having 3 bedrooms and a bathroom painted, followed by new hardwood floors from Mirage. The floors will be the Red Oak Graphite Cashmere from the Mirage Admiration Collection.
The wall colors include the following:
Master Bedroom: Riviera Azure 822 (hardwood floor) (9' walls, tray ceiling, southern light)
Master Bathroom: Cobblestone Path 1606 (white marble floors with a streak of gray and blue undertones) (southern light)
1st bedroom: Winter Lake 2129-50 (hardwood floor) (northern light)
2nd bedroom: Blue Heron 832 (hardwood floor) (northern light)
All rooms have large windows. The bathroom has skylights facing south.
Do you know of trim and ceiling colors that would complement the wall colors in all 4 rooms? Having a tough time because of the undertones.

I had Home Depot mix my simply white . I got the sample first and the # was oc-117 with pure white base mq300 and I loved it . I went back to get a gallon and tried it out and noticed it wasn’t as bright . The number on the can was 2143-70 in base 1450 . A couple people have said it’s the same color but it’s definitely not . Is it supposed to be and the mixed it wrong ? Should I just go and get the actual Benjamin Moore paint ? What your input .

All I know is I do not like it.. under certain lights it looks blue or green.
