I am looking at purchasing the X2T for Olympus. Can you tell me if the hot shoe on top will work with a pre-existing flash from Olympus? And will the high-speed sync will still work for the shoe mount flash on top?
According to the Godox website, the TT600 is only compatible with a few dedicated Godox flash transmitters. I don't suppose it's possible to trigger it with flash triggers from other brands? If so, could those flash triggers work with any brand of camera?
You can only trigger the TT600 using the internal receiver via a Godox X-trigger such as the X1, X2, X3, XPro or XProII. If you'd like to use other triggers such as Pocketwizards or other brands you'd have to attach a receiver to the bottom of the TT600 to integrate it to that particular wireless system, which isn't as elegant as the Godox system however would still work.

Great video... where does the TT520ii fit in the godox range? Can i pair it with one of the newer Godox flashes and triggers. In other words, would it work in slave mode with the newer godox system?
Hi Caleb, the Godox TT520II is an older model and sits along side the TT600 as they're both manual flashes. It only works with Godox's legacy flash trigger system the FT-16 but you can get it to work with the new X wireless system by using an XTR-16 receiver. They're discontinued by Godox now but you may get lucky with stock at a retailer.
Hi, I have these cameras: Nikon F4s, Nikon D2xs, Nikon FG. I need a flash speedlite for these cameras. Which Godox model is suitable for these camera? Thanks.
Great review, thanks! I am trying to figure out which one to get for my Nikon D5600. I was thinking 860II or 685II Is it important to buy it with a Pro trigger ? which one? I will use it for take pictures of my real estate listings. I don't take pictures for others, only my listings. Also for personal use. So confusing. Thanks for any help.
The TT685II should be good enough (use AA battery), the lithium battery in the V860II helps you to increase recycle time (the flash needs time in between to light up again) but you will shoot still real estate so you shouldn’t need that. With the trigger you will have more flexible way to light up your subject. It doesn’t need to be stuck on the camera and the TT685II can work accordingly (slave mode) with your Nikon built-in flash. Hope this help
Hey there! In general, modern Canon version Godox on-camera flashes are compatible with all Canon models at a minimum of being able to fire off the flash with the shutter. Occasionally, specific features may not work with certain cameras. For instance, on mirrorless cameras, including other brands besides Canon, the AF assist feature is known to be non-functional. There are reports of limited TTL effectiveness on the R6 Mark II, but we can't confirm since we don't have it for testing. Hope this helps!
You asked about the pros and cons of Godox Li Ion batteries. Personally I don't really care about the battery technology, its the form factor that I am most concerned with. If its a proprietary shape then you are locked into the manufacturer. If its a "standard" cell/battery shape then you don't have to worry that the manufacturer either doesn't make batteries any more or wants to charge an arm and a leg. I also like the idea of being able to plug in an external battery pack using a standard, non proprietary cable.
Henry Westridge you would want a trigger if you are not using any on camera flash which is more often than not. Using the on camera flash as a master is great if you don’t use OCF often.
I have the V850 - no internal trigger. I saw a video where the V1 was used to turn on / off and control a bunch of other lights. Does the V860ii do that in such a simple way?

Hi, you didn´t mention if manual flashes have automatic aperture, Are they complete manual that means that you have to set apertures or the flash has automatic exposition for the f-stop selected ?
An XPro-N (Nikon) would only operate as a manual trigger on a Canon camera's hot shoe as the metal pins don't match. You'll still be able to control your Godox lights wirelessly such as change the settings and mode but won't be able to use TTL or HSS. Best to get the compatible trigger for your camera brand.
The TT685 is the first version but not compatible with the 2.4GHz X triggers natively. The TT685II features a built in receiver and works natively with the X2T, X1T and XPro
Anyone able to tell me if either of the TT350 or V350 are compatible with the Canon R5? I’m after a small flash for macro photography. Thanks in advance 👍

Equipment from the US is generally cheaper due to sales tax. The sales tax on B&H is added in at checkout depending on your country or post code if you are located in USA.
Don’t confuse your audience with numbers of option but you better shorted listed price wise and quality wise several pieces so that audience get idea to which one is better to buy
Any of the C model flashes so something like the TT685CII for a full sized flash or V860IIIC if you prefer a faster recycle time with lithium ion battery. Lastly if you're after maximum output and prefer a round head flash which is easier to modify then the V1-C.
Depending on what features you want from a flash and your budget, a full sized flash such as the TT685N (for Nikon), V860IIN, V860IIIN or V1-N would be our recommendations.
The V860II is better as it has full TTL capabilities. If you're comfortable shooting in manual flash mode then the V850II is enough. Apart from that they have the same features.
I use speed lights of and on so I don't want Lithium batteries as they lose capacity over time. Besides that it's easier to find some AA batteries in case you run empty. I don't use TTL as it is not very reliable (will it meter on the subject or the background, you never know). Never us a speed light on top of the camera also. So the best flash for me is the TT600. Manual flashes only do HSS in combination with a trigger, not on camera !!!
Any of the "C" versions of these flashes should work however recently Canon have been implementing software that doesn't allow third-party brand flashes/triggers to utilise the hot shoe. You may need to update the firmware or find a workaround.

the TT works with AA batteries whilst the V has got a lithium rechargeable battery
Which is compatible with canon 250d “sl3”
Any of the "C" versions of these flashes should work however recently Canon have been implementing software that doesn't allow third-party brand flashes/triggers to utilise the hot shoe. You may need to update the firmware or find a workaround.
Is godax 850II is compatible with canon Rebel t6
Yes, the V850II is a manual flash so it's compatible with most cameras with a metal hot shoe, including the Canon Rebel T6
@@hypop then it's not TTL flash ah sir ?
@@adhithyaharshan812 Yes, it's not a TTL flash. Look at the V860II-C if you're after the TTL flash for the Canon Rebel T6
Great explanation, thank you for sharing.
No worries at all! Glad you found it helpful
The Godox V1 certainly beats my nikon SB700. But nothing beats my AD300pro.
The AD300Pro is definitely a fantastic flash!
Fantastic equipment review!
