This is crazy! You know how many jobs I can sell using this technique!! I install LEDs on storefronts, instead of a flat mock-up image I can make it LIT!!!😱😱Than you🙏🏼
I've been looking for a tutorial on this subject since September.... Having to great adjustment layers with a closed path and apply a Vegas and a Glow effect.... When I want an open path (like a light string) I'm creating a closed path and then masking out the bit I don't want.
Hi, you don't need to have a closed path (you will see that mine isn't in the tutorial) - however you do need to have more than 2 points/vertices on the path for the vegas effect to work.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. How would you make the traveling motion in the lights constant and smooth? As it is, the lights go smoothly in sequence for a few seconds and then seem to rapidly back up and "return to the beginning" before sequencing smoothly again.
Hi. In your Strobe Light effect(s) set Random to 0%. You will likely end up with what is called a "chaser", where it looks like the lights are running along the path but changing colour.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Finnley Deacon Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Hi! Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I have one question, on :55 isn't there a way to make adjust the thickness you made a path? like some thick path rather than just default thickness path? (I'd like to make some big light balls,,,) Thank you in advance!
This is a perfect tut for the season but I still dont understand why you are doing some of the thigns you are doing. 1. Why two copies of glow? 2. Why wont this work unless there are 3 points? 3. Whats the part at the end where we copy 1 light and drag it to main comp. thanks
I'm following this to a T but when I apply the Vegas effect and and turn off the mask the lights do not move. When I hit play they blur. Everything else looks right. Help?
Are you trying to just use the Vegas effect alone and not continue with the rest of the tutorial? In that case you need to keyframe the Rotation and they will move - and you probably don't need the adjustment layer with the Glow effects (which would be causing the blur). If you are wanting to go all the way through the tutorial and create the lights as seen in the opening you should not keyframe the rotation, keep the Adjustment layer and continue on with the tutorial.
You really can't ask for a better tutorial. Straight to the point and super detailed not leaving anything out.
Doesn't show how to actually draw the path. Can't get to grips with that at all!
