This is the best AE tutorial I’ve seen. Fast, efficient, and the end result looks great. In case anyone missed it, make sure to click that Motion Blur button at the end before you render
I used this tutorial just now to help my first ever use of AfterEffects, really easy to follow so thank you. Fail to see why anyone would ThumbsDown such content?
This is a great reference to have saved. I like to look at a refresher before working on a project. This tutorial is quick and hits a bunch of points with great info. Well done, thank you.
Thanks, a lot dear SonduckFilm for uploading this killer motion graphics tutorial for us. Just rock this AE world and make more killer motion graphics tutorial for us. Best of luck for your next project. You are phenomenal
Great video. How can you control the start and end of the snowflakes? I would like to time the first snowflake and the last snowflake with elements of audio. In my case, when a violin starts and ends. It seems that I need to start the birth rate at 0 then increase it to my desired birthrate in advance of the audio element that I wish to sequence it. Seems like trial and error to get the timing. Any more advanced ways to control?
Nice Josh I'm guessing you can use any PNG file ? will you be doing any more AF without plug in's by this I mean update CC After Effect cc 2018 as there has been some big changes for the better right across the CC platform. ? I'm asking you as you seem to be one of a very few I can follow "people like me who are new in to CC" Big thank for your Tutorials
I was asked this morning to create a very similar sequence within a couple of weeks for a Christmas concert. I can follow your tutorial with no problem but I do have a question. The teacher who asked me to do this want a single snowflake to waft around and finally fall down to our school's version of "Whoville." I have figured everything out except the single snowflake. The overall sequence will be snow falling and then tapering off (Using key-frames). Near the end, a single snowflake appears and falls, swirls, blows around and maybe even changes slightly in size as it falls onto an off stage town. Any Ideas?
Hello, used this tutorial, but the particles themselves are purple, I don't really know what to do, both the colours have been selected to white, but i'm kind of at a loss at the mo. Any suggestions.
Will these particles interact with After Effects' 3D camera as 3D space? Or will the camera just see a flat layer with a "3D" particle element in it? The reason I ask is because I want the to move the 3D camera through the space with the flakes moving past the camera.
Make no particles at the start point and make them disappear at the end of the composition. Then precompose the whole thing. Cut it in half and put both a the same start point. That's how you doing looping with particles.
Hey- so I randomly get giant snowflakes flying across my scene (first one at 6s... anyone know how i can sort this out? The rest of the clip is perfect
@@killiun to be honest no. There was always 1 obnoxious snowflake. I tweaked the settings as much as I could. I kinda just had to be less OCD about it, and the client didn't notice anyway ha!
Great tutorial. Only suggestion is to slow down a little bit when talking. Dumb people like me have a hard time keeping up with you and have to keep rewinding the clip...you can tell I am old school I said rewind..lol

Thank you Sir
The "Texture Disk" only seems to work with PNGs, anyway to use shapes or comps created in Aftereffects? Gratzie
thanks
Love this tutorial my only question when I render it the file is huge! Is there any advice for making smaller? Thanks
OMGGGGGG TY!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for this amazing tutorial I will check it out later and apply it 🤓💙💙

Thank you:)
was amazing thanks a bunch
Great video, well done
Cool, can you also make the flakes rotate x or y axis? so the get "flat" sometimes.
Very good,thanks
Sweet. Thanks.
Can you make one of falling glitter? i tried using this tutorial but i cant wrap my head around how to get that sparkly effect :/
Awesome tutorial, but how do I make this loop without the snowflakes rerendering from 0 every 8 seconds?
Very helpful. I made a lovely heart bubbly effect, messengeresque. Cheers!
thanks!
My effects has a slow fade of the snowflakes in the beginning. How do I stop the fade? I'd like it to be a seamless and continuous animation
Tq so much bro... 👍🙏🙌🙌🙌

BTW, Great tutorial!
I finish and looks awesome BUT How can I change the size of the snowflake? they are too SMALL....
thank you !
Can u tell us the font used for text snow particle

Thanks for the tutorial. Was just wondering one thing: how do I make the snowflakes rotate on the Z axis as well?
font name? thanks ;)

Is there a way I can make the snow from watching it falling from the top view? I'd like to use it for a top view scene.
thx dude :)

This was a great tutorial thank you.
My snowflake is actually cut off. How to I make my png fit the textured disc?
but can you tell me how to make the animation go again, and do not jerk the footage?
The same problem. Where can I find evolution? :)
Make no particles at the start point and make them disappear at the end of the composition. Then precompose the whole thing. Cut it in half and put both a the same start point. That's how you doing looping with particles.
Why does it make the png blurred? How can I get it to be sharp?
kool
What if I wanted to use two different snowflakes falling?
Make a pre-comp with different types over time and then in plugin select random freeze frame as particles type.
Can I add image on it? Thank you!
Hey- so I randomly get giant snowflakes flying across my scene (first one at 6s... anyone know how i can sort this out? The rest of the clip is perfect
I have the same thing happening. Did you figure out how to fix it?
@@killiun to be honest no. There was always 1 obnoxious snowflake. I tweaked the settings as much as I could. I kinda just had to be less OCD about it, and the client didn't notice anyway ha!
I don't know what I did wrong all my snowflakes look blurry and I don't see the bigger ones like in yours.
I figured it out it was the radius Z, you just said bring it forward and not what to set it as, so I had it set wrong
As of 2020 this doesn’t work
The velocity didn’t work for me :/
Too blurry to see what's happening.
