Dude, thanks for the crazy reaction! We're going to join your church for sure, count us in!
Alex never seen your reply, sad.
AAAAAAAAAMEN!!!!!! FROM THE NETHERLANDS, great song keep it up guys
Un commento dei Nanowar sotto un video di Alex Hefner... Le gioie della vita
@@guidosmetsers4384 Aah dan kan ik eindelijk in het Nederlands praten
Amen from Bulgaria!
You guys are incredible!
As a Swede i can confirm this is how we celebrate Christmas.
Away from Systembolaget? In Finland we stay away from Alko too, but we do got a stash..
@@karju4 In Sweden we buy from Germany for half the Price 😏
.....if that’s how you guys celebrate Christmas I’m clearly in the wrong damn country
In norway too 🤣🇳🇴🇳🇴👌🏼
Please, invite me for xmas! Lol
Ok, but now you gotta do a GloryHammer song. Also, if we want to keep going with Nanowar of Steel, Norwegian Reggaeton is hilarious. Also, obligatory Powerwolf and Van Canto plugs.
I totally agree with everything you said.
Also about Nanowar of Steel, I recommend Vegan Velociraptor, it does not have a lot of views but it's awesome.
Absolutely right. Now he finally HAVE TO react to Gloryhammer. Also powerwolf, Van Canto and some other songs from Nanowar of Steel :D
Yes. Van canto is glorious!
Agree on it ALL!!! Norwegian Reggaeton, And then I noticed she was a gargoyle and ofc Barbie milf princess of the twiligth are jsut way to fun lol. Gloryhamme, Powerwolf and Van Canto are just to good to not react to as well.
Gotta hear the song Apocalypse 1992 by Gloryhammer. Absolutely off the walls in terms of musical skill and comedy.
If you liked this then you should DEFINITELY check out Gloryhammer
Also it's Angus *McFIFE* lol
The Don must do a Gloryhammer reaction now 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Alex is not ready for the space unicorns
I wasn't the only one hearing him say Angus McFire then 😂 En excellent porn name though 😂😂
@@fjellsprekk1142 But "the force of unicorns makes Zargothrax fight great."
Gloryhammer is what happens when your D&D group morphs into a metal band, so... yup.
"Knisa Grey is better than Sasha Grey!" - every YT-reactor trying to look totally neutral
Nothing beats Sasha Grey! Oh... wait....
I know right! I am always waiting for their reaction and they are just like "cool" xD
now i crawl out from under my rock and wonder who sasha grey is
He just missed it by taking a sip.
If I was a hot porn actress, I'd change my stage name to Knisa Grey after this song
Hi Alex, a little bit of an insight about Nanowar Of Steel: They are a comedy heavy metal band from Italy. They started covering the most famous songs in metal, changing the lyrics in a parodic way (songs like Master of Pizza or 166 The Number Of The Bitch). The very name of the band is joke too. Initially they were simply "Nanowar" (parody of Manowar, where "Nano" is the italian for both "midget" and "dwarf"). When the italian power metal band Rhapsody had to change the name in Rhapsody of Fire due to legal issues, they changed their name in "Nanowar of Steel" as a joke about that particular fact.
Unfortunately a lot of their songs are in italian and about italian pop culture, so you would not understand the comedy in them, but they have recently started to write lyrics in english, and they've istantly gone viral.
Check "Norwegian Reggaeton" or "And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle" (written before the Notre Dame of Paris fire).
Fake news: "And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle" (written after the Notre Dame of Paris fire). Not writen after the fire.
Well, in a way all Italian Metal is comedy metal...
@@karju4 true, wtf I meant to write "before", and get it all mixed up. Thank you, I'm correcting it.
@@nikolaus2688 ahahahah, well yeah, in a sort of way. Let's say some Metal is "unintentional" comedy, but this is pretty intentional.
@@nikolaus2688 Raintime, Disarmonia Mundi, Death SS, Destrage and many others are actually disagreeing XD
Nanowar is famous for his funny lyrics and parodies of all kinds, but here he was taken to a new level; In the comments they said it well, they created something new that we could call it "metal gospel" that is sincerely heard INCREDIBLE.
I might have understood something wrong, but gospel metal as a genre is nowhere near new, bands of that genre have existed for years.
Listen to norwegian reggaeton by nanowar of steel ; )
Literally can’t keep from smiling whenever I listen to it
Great minds think alike. I also recommended that song. It's so great
yass
I came here to say exactly this.
Itaaaaaaliaaaa
"And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle" is awesome too.
Dunno if it has already been said but, systembolaget is the only place in sweden where you can buy alcohol and falegnamen is a word play, falegname (carpenter in italian) and amen. Also a the end of the video you can see on the tv screen the movie Trading Places... this is the christmas movie that every year is played in italy since it came out in 1983
Glielo volevo spiegare io... 😂😂😂
Interessante 🤔
He doesn't need to react to more metal than this tbh. This is the peak.
hahaha oh yeah?
Hi Man, if you like nanowar i suggest you "Norvegian Raggeton" and "And then i noticed she was a gargoyle"...AWESOME
Giorgio Mastrota lol
Yeah, those are awesome
I'm from Italy and I'm proud of Nanowar (they are Italian!)
I'm happy the Nanowar of steel are finally getting some recognition. Try listening to their single "Norwegian raggaeton" too
When king Angus mcfife the 13th of his name was stab on the side of his stomach and threw himself in a volcano he came back to us a Odin master of IKEA.
Hoots my fellow hootsmen
"An entire religion centered around Angus McFife. Honestly I'm surprised it took this long." - Thomas Punt 1 week ago (according to youtube as of this comment)
also, Angus McFife is the main guy in GloryHammer, which you should TOTALLY check out
I think I commented on that comment
THE UNICORN INVASION OF DUNDEE!!!
Putting another suggestion for any Gloryhammer song. My top three would be:
1. Unicorn Invasion of Dundee
2. Angus McFife
3. Gloryhammer
Grailknights - Pumping Iron Power
Nanowar of Steel - Norwegian Reggaeton
Gloryhammer - Hootsforce
One of these at some point please.
"...if I were to make a...just a metal church"...
reaction to some song from Metal Church when? :P
@@Wanys123 has to happen. Make it so!
Big yes to the Grailknights!!
Lacuna Coil - Naughty Christmas
Another cool metal Christmas song.
Nanowar of steel is an italian group that plays rock/metal demential/no-sense songs: try to react to songs like "And than I notice she was a Gargoyle" or "Vegan Velociraptor" or else "Norwegian Reggaeton" unfortunately my favorite song is in Italian and who isn't italian can't undestand it, your italian fans will undestand wich I referring to
Giorgio Mastrota? XD
Il classico Cavaliere dell'Acciaio Inox
L’operatore ecologico
Ma di Giorgio Mastrota c'è anche la versione in inglese
@@elisabettaerrico1445 Ma in italiano rende meglio.
Anche perché in Italia
sappiamo chi sia Giorgio Mastrota
found this song through a UA-cam rabbit hole. SO GLAD YOU FOUND IT TOO!
This was HILARIOUS
so funny!!!
These guys are another comedy metal group. They're absolutely HYSTERICAL. The quality of the music almost completely overshadows the rather blatantly overt and in your face humor in the lyrics.
On the 28.12.2009., Avenged Sevenfold lost their drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. In two days, it's going to be the tenth anniversary of his death. I think that you should react to a song like "Save Me" or "Saint James" by Avenged Sevenfold, it would be an amazing way to pay tribute to the band and this kind soul.
Merry Christmas, Alex! Happy Holidays, I love you 🙏🏻🖤
Alex if you're looking for a badass Christmas song check out Ice Nine Kills- Merry Axe-mas
Korn Jingle balls!!!!
Absolutely
Ok, let's get technical now.
We all know the Nanowar of Steel line-up is : an incredible bass player (Gatto Panceri 666, Ph.D.), a blazing drummer (Uinona Raider) , a funambolic guitarist (Moahamed Abdul) and two incredibly gifted singers (Mr. Baffo & Potowotominimak)
This group is both a power house and a beacon of techical and musical mastership.
The structure of the song is simple : the guys do waht they do best - Mr. Baffo leading the congregation as the Odin Preacher, Mohamed Abdul tearing the house down with his epic solo, Uinona Raider and Gatto Panceri 666 keeping up the beat to the stars on the final choir's crescendo.
That's just great musicianship, but it's standard stuff for Nanowar of Steel . It's their bread and butter, and they're so damn good at it you end up not even noticing it - but you should!
For this song, though, they've added a couple of touches wich are simply genius bringing the final product to another level altogether.
First of all , the organ. They have it at the beginning of the song , soothing you down a little bit before they bring the house down, but most importantly on the Angus McFife intro we have a Hammond masterpiece going up and down a simple scale creating an incredibly dinamic and dramatic effect - genius.
Then we have the vocal add-ups: Angus McFife himself and the Choir (Flowing Chord choir). These are insane.
Angus simply does what he normally does, and it's just the perfect guy to impersonate Odin - the volume, the richness, the slight vibrato on the high note, the power....he's and epic metal singer, period, and he plays the part as only Angus can do. Simply perfect.
Then you have Flowing Chord. They are superb.
In an interview at Radio Rock Mohamed Abdul has revealed the choir has been working hard to add many ideas and bits'n'pieces to the whole song, going far above and beyond what they were asked for. They loved the project and kept throwing ideas and contribution - as if Nanowar of Steel needed it, but at the end of the day...they did!
So we have a great band who was lucky enough to find a couple of back-ups completly in love with the project and the final result is definitely much more than the sum of the components....
We all sing Vallhalleluja!
You're also going to want to check out Nanowar of Steel: And Then I Noticed She Was a Gargoyle. Surprisingly strong vocals.
It is a very true love song
And the best love story since twilight.........
Made me laugh so damn hard!!! Ironmonger is brilliantly catchy too!!
Dude! Thanks for exposing this song to me. I might actually get in the Christmas mood if they played more songs like this on the radio.
Merry Christmas, Alex Hefner!🎄🎁🎅
You should check Glorryhammer.. they are all about over the top metal, to the point their lead singer HAD to appear in here (as odin)
Funny and brilliant! Greetings from a proud shieldmaiden from Norway 🇳🇴🤘🏼🤘🏼👏🏼👏🏼😅
You guys won’t believe it but they are an Italian group and I am sooooo proud of that
YEAH VIKING MUSIC!!

Loving the reactions Alex. Good 10 mins or so to unwind after work and have a laugh. Seeing as I've found a load of songs to add to my playlist through your reactions I thought it only right to add a little list of gems you haven't done yet.

That was so much fun. I really liked the song.
The only way this could have been improved would be if Sasha Grey had a cameo somewhere.
Yes!!!!!!! Thank you
There it is, a new Christmas Classic (or an IKEA commercial)! ;)
Hefner Church of Metal! Amen!
YES!
You did my request finally 😂
Waiting for a reaction of "and then I noticed she was a gargoyle"
Angus fucking killing it as usual.
As someone who's been listening to metal since the mid-to-late 90's, I've enjoyed both watching back to bands I haven't heard from in years as well as discovering some I didn't know about! Thanks very much Alex!
As for a recommendation, might be fun to see what you think of Monster Magnet.
in the back u can see playing on the tv Trading Places, in Italy its a tradition to broadcat the night of 24 december, and NOS are from ITALY
Alex reacting Nanowar... I could die happy and sing Valhallelujah all the time
Time finally for that Gloryhammer Reaction! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
The hat is called an "ushanka", and they're pretty great when it's super cold out. Also, this song is so awesome! Haven't been able to get it out of my head since I first heard it; the comedy is solid, and the metal is definitely Metal. Glad you finally heard it.
You should check out Naughty Christmas by Lacuna Coil
WhaHaHaHaHat was that !!

As an Italian person, I can say that Nanowar is the best italian band ever! No one else comes close to them! You should definitely listen to other songs from these guys, I'm sure you'll enjoy them, they're hilarious.
Perfect Performance. I love this Song . In a few months its allways my Favorit
Bonus points for anyone who can name the movie on the TV behind him, near the end of the video! Another Christmas Klassik!
Trading Places with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd...here in Italy with the title Una Poltrona Per Due - An Armchair For Two(another quote for the furniture...LOL) is considered a traditional xmas movie and is regularly broadcasted on TV every Christmas Eve!!!

He even brought his Hammer of Glory xD
From Italy, with love
They're brilliant.
This is why i'm happy to be italian
I am so happy you did this video! This band is absolutely great and I hope you react more to them. Norwegian Reggaeton would be a good next step ;)
Finally a Christmas song I wouldn't mind hearing in stores.
Nanowar are great Alex! You should really check more of 'em, they deserve it.
This song is just hilarious, catchy, and fun. I really want to see these guys live because of this song
Okay so @0:56 I thought DAMN Sarah is one lucky lady!!! LOL Love my Vikings!!! Great video Alex.

Somehow I picture Alex in court like this:
"Attorney, please address the issue."
"Well, sir, my client is in no way...OH THERE'S A CHERRY IN THERE! DRINK OF THE CENTURY!" And then he proceeds to jump out of the window out of pure joy. While ripping his suit apart.

Hey man I had to subscribe to you awesome reactions and you've got an awesome open mind so keep on rockin man.
Hahaa i have watched this vid so many times. I love it. I just sing it and headbang to it..
Nanowar of Steel are named after a double mocking, Manowar originally, so NANOwar (Nano in italian is dwarf) and then Rhapsody (italian metal flagship), when they were renamed Rhapsody of Fire, so, ironically, NANOWAR OF STEEL.
I was just listening to this thinking 'I wish Alex Hefner would react to this' then the notification popped up 😀
no way?!?!
This is my first time watching that song and that is the best Christmas song ever
Now you have to do Gloryhammer! Gloryhammer - Siege of Dunkeld
Please! :D I love that song.
Fairy Tale of New York. The greatest Christmas song ever!

"And then I Noticed She Was a Gargoyle" is some cool storytelling driven to its utmost and most outlandish, as well!
