Systembolaget = Only place in Sweden where you can get alcohol higher than 3,5%.

😂 the satire and comedy is the reason this has become a tradition in my house.
The band did a interview and said they started showing up randomly at IKEAs and playing this song, until ikea asked them to stop. 😂
Great reaction, hope you get better!

they actually did some meet and greet with trasure hunts into Ikea stores...obviously without permissions :)

IKEA are nuts, free advertising and they turn it down, it's better than every other ad in existence

This is the first vid I have watched from you, so just in case it hasn't been suggested as a Christmas themed metal song (and in case you haven't done a reaction to it), the somewhat obvious song would probably be Sabaton's Christmas Truce.

Ah yes, my fav funny song for the season! I remember back when it was making the rounds amongst the reaction channels, someone felt the bloodthirsty->carpenter Odin transition was parodying the difference between the Old and New Testament. I wouldn't put it past this band to do that.
If you're still taking recommendations, I'll suggest my fav non-funny song for the season, assuming you haven't already heard it. Christmas Truce by Sabaton. The MV is a whole mini-movie and it's fantastic right up to the very last moment. I feel you might resonate with its themes.
And here's wishing you a speedy recovery!

welcome to the wonderful world of Nanowar of steel, next stop would be , Uranus fet. Michael Starr from Steel panther , Pasadena 1994 with Joakim Broden from Sabaton, Winterstorm in the night feat Madeleine Liljestam of Elaine, Norwegian reggaeton, And then i noticed she was a gargoyle, or the more recent boyband hit "protocols of love ".
Just a couple of things about the song ,they replaced the hebrew " Shema Israel, Adonai eloheinu Adonai ehad" (more or less listen Israel , the Lord is our God , the Lord is one) to "Shema yggdrasil (the cosmic tree) Odinai eloheinu Odinai Ehad (Odin is our God , Odin is One). And for not italian speaking "Falegn - Amen " , falegname is the italian word for Carpenter.

Very happy seeing your reaction! Hope you will have fun going through their 20 years of music. They are great musicians also. They all sing and the drummer and guitarist are top notch. The bass player is an astrophysicist who speaks 10 languages (learned during his career).
    I’m subscribing! Good job.

For metal Christmas also I suggest the mythical: Christopher Lee’s “Heavy Metal Christmas”

Hello, My first time to meet you. I am a big fan of NanowaR of Steel and consider them the God tier of Metal Comedy bands.
Since you have Sabaton's "A Christmas Truce" on channel maybe react to "Pasedena 1994 after Christmas with guest from Sabaton.
I am looking forward to checking out your catalogue over the holiday season.
Lyric Noel from Texas, USA dropped a short but very Metal "Carol of the Bells" last year. Her vocal transitions from melodic, grit and growl voices are butter smooth.
If you already have done this song, Lyric also dropped a new "Silent Night" Metal version about a week ago.❤
🥰🥰Wishing you a Merry Metal Christmas from Canada🥀🇨🇦

The real strength of Nanowar of Steel, aside from being hilarious is their ability to perform many different sorts of music. "Norwegian Reggaeton" is literally Reggaeton music with death metal lyrics, "Uranus" sounds like late 70s/early 80s hard rock, "Protocols of Love" is based on boy-band music from the 90s, "Disco Metal" is horror-themed lyrics to a 90s dance beat, "Pasadena 1994" is literally a Sabaton song, complete with Joakim, but about soccer, and even "Then I Noticed that She Was a Gargoyle" sounds like an 80s power ballad. Combine that with the occasional just plain silly thing like "Vegan Velociraptor" or "Barbie Milf Princess of the Twilight" and there's just a ton of hilarious material to discover.

Too bad you didn't read the description. I quote:
_"Great literature has always been a source of inspiration for heavy metal bands._
_J.R.R. Tolkien for Blind Guardian, H.P. Lovecraft for Cradle of Filth, The Holy Bible for Stryper and now The IKEA Catalog for Nanowar Of Steel. "_

My favorite band. The deeper you go if you have musical appreciation it becomes undeniable they're genius musicians. They do so many different styles and it's easy to overlook the unbelievable musicianship and insane amount of work that goes into the composition and videos due to the comedic aspect. The constant being they're so good. I challenge you to explore them and not get completely won over

The "funny script" is actual hebrew. A slightly changed jewish text, containing Odins name, if I remember correct from comments on other reactions.

A few side notes here, since systembolaget has already been explained in the comments im skipping that one. Both Amon Amarth (melodic death metal inspired by the Viking era) and Hammerfall (heavy/power metal) are Swedish metal bands.

NanowaR of Steel have so many hidden gems
    in their videos
The film in the background is Trading Places
which is played on Christmas Eve on Italian TV
The Shema Yisrael (Deuteronomy 6:4) is parodied
as Shema Yggdrasil and transcribed into Hebrew script.
Did you know Mitch Benn did an IKEA song about 20 years ago:
    ua-cam.com/video/L7-D2pPP-u0/v-deo.html
with a Viking to flat pack furniture is a repeating theme LOL.

I'm about as anti-hype as most right-thinking people, but this train is nice, with its comfy chairs and servings of mead.
NanowaR of Steel is a really great band, which is important. You can't do great music parody if you're not also a great musician. It's worth digging into both recent and older videos, and you'll probably enjoy Gloryhammer too. The first three albums have Angus McFife on vocals, but after that he went for an upgrade, so I recommend checking out Angus McSix too.
Then, if you want to cross the edge of madness, there's always the MagnoBardo project by one of the NoS members. I think Nel Mio Feudo might be the most accessible video if you want to do a reaction. It has subtitles, thank goodness.
    Happy yule!

There is a question that bothers me some time. Maybe you can give me an answer. I saw this so many times on music reaction channels. When it comes to nee bands for the channel they do research after the band bevor listeming to it. Why? In my oppinion this kills the surpise, instantly. And you habe an oppinion for the band bevor eben knowing. I think the best way to learm about a band is listening to the music they make.

    • @MetalHeadReacts
      @MetalHeadReacts  3 місяці тому

I don't necessarily agree, but I see where you're coming from.
I like to find out more about who the band is, and sure, it can give you an idea about the style of music they play, but that doesn't necessarily give you a complete idea what they sound like, so you can still be surprised by what you find. I always try to go into everything I do with an open mind, and on many occasions, even after reading up on them, I have found new bands that I have fallen in love with, and some I thought I'd like but hated. When I do my research I don't go too deep, I just want to know where they're from, how long they've been going and get a rough idea what genre. But as I say, I do see where you're coming from.

@@MetalHeadReacts I get your point. It is just me. I would only do research on band/musicians i like. If i dont like it why should know where it comes from etc. For me it would be a waste of precious time to do it before. If i were In your position and someobe suggest a hip hop song and i knowmit before the song could either be a good song i would go witth a bad mood in it . From the beginning there is no chance that i like it. On the other side i go blind in a song and it Turns out to be hip hop there is a chance that i like it.( I hope you understsnd what i am trying to sah. English iis not my native tongue)
