- Hi everyone. There's been a lot of discussion in the FB group about the various antimicrobial nasal sprays. In this video, I discuss 3 of them: Enovid, Taffix, Covixyl. I hope it's helpful. Be well.
Something that it widely available that might help a little: "A study from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University has found that flushing your nose twice daily with a mild saline solution shortly after testing positive for COVID-19 can drastically decrease your chances of hospitalization and death."

Sadly, infection rates aren’t a valid indicator because hardly anyones testing and home testing doesn’t seem to be as good at picking up positives from the new variants

Taffix sounds interesting…thanks for the ordering tip
I've been using Enovid for a while and I do experience a very brief sting but nothing else. I just got some Taffix and have only used it twice. The first time I didn't notice much of anything and probably didn't get much of a dose. The second time it stung a bit but seemed slightly less than the Enovid. I didn't smell much but the taste is a little unpleasant and I got a very slight headache which I think was from the Taffix. But I need to use it more before understanding how it will effect me. I'm hopeful any side effects will not last long. But I like the idea of a little added protection.
I started checking the wastewater data some months back as well as multiple other estimates of the infection rate. At least in my city the wastewater projection has only ranged from about 150 to 275 per 100,000 for an extended period of time. The other estimates have ranged from below 10 to 100. I think one problem is they seem to use different periods of time to make the estimates. I still check but in my location but I don't feel I can trust the numbers.
What is know about the long term possible side effects using these two nasal treatments?
