Hello, I have been working as a desktop tech for 3 years but my employer is requiring our team to get certified. Would you recommend Accelerated or the Full Course for me? Thank you for your time.
Hi Afro, great question! Which specific CompTIA certification course were you looking at? For the entry-level courses like IT Fundamentals and A+, I think you have enough work experience to be able to take the accelerated course. Ultimately, taking a practice test prior to studying will help you gauge your knowledge of the course topics. I would also recommend reading over the episode titles of the full-length course to see how much you have a basic knowledge of. Also, if your employer is interested in training a team of 2 or more, we offer IT training for teams. He/she can find more information here: www.itpro.tv/business/
I am 100% that first Alan, coming from being an RN in Adult Nursing to this is a hell of a leap of faith lol
Nothing wrong with being an Alan! You can do it!
Any updates on the CompTia A+ online certification test? Has anyone given it a shot? Do i need a webcam? Is the test timed?
I think this link should answer most of your questions: www.comptia.org/testing/online-testing-interest-form
