- The internet is filled with photos of truly crazy tattoos.You know what we're talking about, the tattoos that make you gasp at the hilarious/horrific concept even before you you consider the artistry. So with this in mind, an idea must be completely atrocious for a tattooer to refuse to even consider doing it. We asked our panel of tattoo artists what are some of the tattoo ideas they've had to refuse. Some of them will make you laugh, others will make you question humanity. It's gonna be a wild ride. Enjoy.

We’re baaaaaack! We have a brand new cast and a whole new batch of questions for our panel of tattoo artists. This time around we’re going to be tackling all of the tough subjects-what should a tattooer never do, what kind of tattoo is a dealbreaker to spot on a first date and more. Bruh. If I tell the people in my area no, to just about anything… they lose their minds & will either start yelling, try to manipulate me into it or leave bad reviews… I‘ve had one person ever talk me into tattooing his face & it was only because he came from Mexico specifically to do it, we had to use a bad translator & he seemed really upset when I said ‚never happening, it’s a terrible idea‘. Dude ended up coming back & bringing people with him. If I told them no, they would ask why & I wouldn’t be smart enough to tell them ‚it’s because superman sucks, but not as much as it’s fans‘… couldn’t imagine how that would go. It would almost be less effort just doing it than telling them no.
Also, love when I say no to tattoos that I have(like face tattoos) & they immediately point out I have similar ones. 🤦♂️
Like, maybe that’s why I know better than to subject the locals to that

I want a supergirl tattoo and have wanted one for a few years . Now I feel kinda insecure about bringing my idea to an artist .
It's a cute tattoo completely different from my personality . But I feel like it gives me inspiration to try to be a better person !

If you're worried about the gas you spent to get to the tattoo parlor, you don't have enough money to spend on tattoos.

@@KingMinish It's not about gentrification. It's about spending money you can't afford to. If money's tight enough that you can't swing an extra $20 for gas, spending $200 on a tattoo is gonna bite you in the ass.

I have my wife's name on my ring finger and my wife has mine. Been married for 17 1/2 years and together for 20. So far so good. But I understand why artists would not want to do that.

Think of it this way, they are helping that person hide their prejudices. Instead of letting them make a regrettable decision that will haunt them the rest of their life. In a way they are actually harboring a true racist not stopping an expression of that ideology.
I always lol at the couple's tattoo curse, definitely was my case! Though at least it's in elvish, so no one can tell, and I could always just lie and say it says "love" or some other shit, or laser it off and get it covered. I probably won't, because we were together for almost 12 years, and it was a pretty good relationship for the most part, just grew apart, and erasing the tattoo won't erase the relationship. But I understand not everyone's experince is the same

The artist that said she wouldn’t do any “cheesy, common tattoos like a lions head, with a clock and a rose” has a an 8 ball tattooed on her arm, bit of a hypocrite if you asked me
An 8 ball isn't as common as a lion's head, a clock, a rose, a feather, a dreamcatcher or skulls which are things most first time unoriginal people go for

@@andrea.dandelion Saw it. Looks like an inflamed/infected, leaking penis. It also looks like it's supposed to be a real size. I guess based on the placement, the penis tattoo is supposed to make it look like his penis so long he hangs out of the bottom of his shorts 🤷♀

Simmilar thing happened when I had mine, I showed the dude what I wanted and he added much more detail to it (it was a skull wraped with barbed wire)

I heard "I'm an empath" and before I knew what was happening my eyes rolled so hard they fell out of my head. So here I am blind, due to a lack of eyes, spending the next twenty or so minutes finding my eyeballs. Then as I was trying to make it to the bathroom to rinse my eyes off so I could put them back in, I stubbed my toe. That hurt so bad I nearly fell down and squished my eyeballs. No worries though my eyes are safely back in my head. "I'm an empath" bragging about the absolute worst superpower you could have. Mix it up man, choose teleportation or something awesome.

The one tattoo I refuse to do is the straight black line around the arm. Everyone I’ve attempted to tattoo this on someone has ended up with a crooked ass line. It’s almost impossible to get straight. Also, everyone I’ve asked what it means, I’ve gotten different answers. Pretty sure that tattoo means absolutely nothing.
Did you try using a ruler.
In a few cultures this is actually a REALLY offensive tattoo as well. In Korea, for example, the line around the arm was the mark of a criminal or a sex slave.

My artist refuses face, neck, and hand tattoos unless he knows you personally or you're older.
He got a pretty rude review from some 18 year old he refused to do a giant neck tattoo.
He only did my hand because we're freinds and he knows I already own my own buissnes.
I appreciate those types of artists. Only reason I finally did my hand was due to my career and pretty sure cuz my artist likes me haha
the furthest my artist will go is the wrist or collarbone, no if, ands or buts. part of my forearm piece goes past my wrist and just onto the back of my hand and i had to beg him for that. pretty sure he only relented cuz i'm a repeat client XD but that is one of his absolute rules.

I don't even know what people mean anymore. If you're a very empathetic person, just freakin say that. "I'm an empath" makes you sound like you think you can see ghosts or read minds or some shit.
It isn’t. You either aren’t an empath, don’t know any or haven’t done any research. Those of us who are true empaths is like having the super power of feeling. It’s not a cue thing as you seem to believe. I can actually feel other people’s feelings. What you think emapths do is the equivalent of someone who can read body language- not the same at all. ✌🏾

See, my mom has been getting tats for 20ish years, (my whole life at least) and we near Portland OR, so ya know we got a lot of artsy tat artists out there... now it's my turn to get my first tat, and I'm looking for simplicity cuz I'm an artist myself and I empathize with it's like commissions
I have my wife’s name across my lower back and she has mine on her stomach. We were dating when we got them. We’ve been married now for 28 years with a handful of kids. These tatts don’t always end badly.

All seriousness, i think what ruben said at 2.20 is what soooo many people dont understand. Obviously everybody whats their tattoo to be clean and perfect but alot of people do not think about the stress that an artist has to go through in order to fulfill a clients wishes when it comes to very sentimental portrait tattoos! No matter if you are the best portrait artist in the world peoples extremely minor detailed perspectives can always in their mind, outdo an artists talent ( Coming from a professional potrait painter ) I guess no matter how perfect your artwork is, people can always hve a higher standard of outlook upon their loved ones.
