I totally agree with you. I think Buzzfeed did a video once where several people got their first ever tattoos and one of the tattoo artists was SO disinterested and a lot of people seemed to notice it. It was like he thought he was too good to be doing the video and I think that attitude can put a lot of people off going to someone a sharing their ideas for a tattoo with artists.
What he said at the end was really interesting. About how they spend hours working on this design, only to see it walk out the door. I never thought about it that way. It’s kinda sad! Sure they can take a picture but that’s not the same.
I had to have emergency surgery on my back and they had to cut right through my tattoo. The person who stitched me up did an AMAZING job! I have a straight red line right down the middle of my tattoo but my tattoo is completely intact. I wish I knew who it was so I could thank them!
when i hear stories like yours i can only imagine the surgeon taking their time and using your tattoo to help them in creating a perfect stitch. but then you hear stories of people’s tattoos being misaligned and i can only think the surgeon just didn’t care enough to try to make it straight. glad yours was amazing!
