I have a G-code Phenom with a "stubby" claw or "wing" like you called it. I actually found that to be another layer of retention on the draw. it snugs up real nice against the "band" and locks the holster in as good as one could expect from a fabric/velcro foundation. Now, let's hope I never have to use it.
If you haven’t heard of this you should check out Snakestaff Systems ETQ (everyday carry tourniquet). Significantly smaller than normal TQ, about the size of a Glock mag, but maintains the same functionality as a regular TQ. From the looks of it I would bet it’s even smaller than that rats TQ.
Haha thats awesome! You will love it. This thing sits in my truck all day everyday so it is easily accessible when I need it. Great to keep your everyday carry items. Thanks for the support!
I just came from trigger con where I saw this fanny pack. The Vertx rep described the pouch that you don't use (10:12 in video) as a make shift weapon for non permissive environments. You can put pens or pencils in one end and the smaller inside "pouch" is for coins. It basically becomes a make-shift black jack for places when you cant have guns/knives etc... (think airplanes). Just a thought!
I can see that. Yea I don’t even bring this on the actual airplane bc I have my backpack. The pouch itself has its uses just not when I’m using it for concealed carry which is 98% of the time. Thanks for sharing what the rep said. I’ve never been to those conventions I would like to go one time to actually talk to the ppl who work for the companies I talk about
I saw people were giving you crap for the blue line flag, which I too am totally onboard with (following flag code, not giving you crap, that is). So let me beat them to the punch, when hanging a flag vertically, the stars go in the left corner. It always seemed counter intuitive to me but that is code. Anyway, thanks for all your videos and information!
Thanks for the info. I love flags but I was only using it as a backdrop and had no idea about the ins and outs of flags. I’ve only flown them before my UA-cam journey. Appreciate you.
Excellent job. We use the RATs at work & I carry them when working OCONUS. Ignore the haters. Also, in your channel setup you can hold comments & review / approve them before they’re public. Helps you ctrl the morons. Keep up the good work & thanks for being a teacher. We need more solid ones.
Yea It depends how you are running the bag. If you sling it over the shoulder it’s in an okay spot but if you want to wear it as a Fanny pack it’s in a terrible spot
It is a nice setup. My main complaint is the plastic/rubberized materials in the area of the phone holder both look and feel very cheap. Like walmart quality cheap. I would rather they not even have the clear material around the phone if they were going to super cheap out over it.
@@MichiganDad it can help locate your bag in case you left it somewhere eg. restaurant, hospital, classroom, etc. well of course if it got stolen the first thing the thief will do is to toss out the airtag lol I setup my airtag to send a notification on my phone if the tag gets separated with my iPhone
4:06 it’s not about being an operator… if you have good situational awareness and you feel frogish. It’s meant to record video before the encounter. “Hey, Siri! Record video” Criminals work in packs and you shoot one of them then it’s your word against 3-5 others. A video is the best witness. Unless your guilt then you can always delete itZ
That’s fair … I will not be in a situation like that at this point in my life with young kids and not being able to go out at night but I can see where that has its benefit.
You missed quite a few features that make that bag what it is... Also, the original Sling was designed by Greg Thompson for his SOCP Dagger made by Benchmade, and this Fanny Pack is an upgrade for firearms.
I wasn’t highlighting features I was demonstrating how I use it. Daggers are against Michigan law to carry for self defense purposes so it didn’t make the cut in my video
@@Toms2ATime First amendment ... that's the UA-cam game. I can call it what I want and put whatever I want in my video. Sry your butt hurt but not my problem.
@MichiganDad Wow...1st Amendment....what a clever defense of your ignorance. It's also not the UA-cam game - they don't believe in the 1st Amendment any more than I believe you know what you're talking about.
Kind of hard to justify buying this by your own admissions. Please don't make videos promoting things, if you are going to spend the first 5 minutes complaining that you're too weak to carry or use a simple pouch, no matter how loaded it is. Very poor marketing skills. It's really not that heavy, dude. Hit the gym now and again.
Try getting off of your phone and social media and work on your people skills 👍 My bench is 255 so I’m good. My back being out of line has nothing to do with my lifting or my strength lol If you don’t like it then do your own video. My videos are about honesty. Not what other people think. Just bc I do a video on a product does “not” mean I have to like the product. I’m not trying to market or sell anything. I do not work for them.
Respect man very cool setup, as a security guard here in Ontario Canada I'm stuck to carrying a tactical pen
Oh for real. Here in Michigan it’s illegal to carry a knife for self defense but you can carry it as a “tool” 😂
@@MichiganDad really that is interesting to know

No kidding … I might check that out for sure, I am always looking for downsized edc items
Just picked one up myself can’t wait to load it out to suit me! I am now a 33 year old Fanny pack dad as well
Thank you for the video, I subbed!

Ordered one of these recently and waiting for it to come in the mail. Good video...subscribed. Hello from Traverse City
nice setup, respect!
Nice review - thank you for the time.
I just subscribed because you from Michigan. But let me say this and say this clear. GO BLUE!
Haha appreciate the support. At least your not an Ohio state fan lol 😂
How do you feel about the release buckle being opposite of the bag? I prefer it next to the bag.
Yea It depends how you are running the bag. If you sling it over the shoulder it’s in an okay spot but if you want to wear it as a Fanny pack it’s in a terrible spot
Old Glory is improperly displayed. The union of stars always is on the upper left when displayed statically.
Oh shoot you are right … didn’t even notice that. Thanks

Trying to figure out how to stick a cover on that part. Might just goon tape the clear part from the inside honestly and use it as a regular pouch
@@Moresco24 Yeah, it is too bad because the reset seems pretty well made and good quality.
These bags are getting bigger and bigger.
This one is a much better size than the original. If your looking to carry a firearm off body or in my case a backup gun this one works great
America needs more men, especially patriotic, Christian men in "education". Thank you for being one of them. #subbed
To be honest I wish there was some more of us in my field. Most of them are too soft.
@@MichiganDad Coming from a family in education, in a blue state, I can only imagine. Keep fighting the good fight. 😃

👍👍
Will a glock 21 fit in this bag?
Not sure I’ve never owned one
I have this same bag and carry my Springfield Prodigy 4.25 with an x300 and an rmr with still plenty of room
Feel ya on the age thing lol
Is this the fanny pack or sling bag?
Technically it’s a fanny pack

I’m 35 but my back feels like it’s 65 lol 😂 15 years of back issues since my college track days
35 ain’t old haha
