The cool thing about the Pet Shop Boys is that the lead singer is Neil Tennant and he was a music reviewer when he started this band, so he came into music with this critical eye and an aficionado's perspective, and their stuff is amazingly unique and inspired a lot of other people in the years to follow. Lovely reaction, my friend. I was 67 in London yesterday and you are going to make me shed a tear for my beloved South East London/Kent. That was filmed in Waterloo Station where I shall be this weekend and that Number 42 Bus was one of 34 different Bus routes within 2 miles of my former home just 2 miles from there and Central London. In 1983 just 38 years ago I moved 10 miles to the very edge of S E London and Kent and it has been fantastic as it's so near to the Countryside and 1/2 mile from a London postal district. This depicts when East End working-class Boys used to meet at weekends with classy West End Girls, usually from West or South West London :)
