Even after all these years this video/song still makes me cry, especially at the last "I Still Love You". That look on his face was just ugh... hard. This song is so Beautiful!! These guys were so special together. I miss Freddie. He will never be forgotten! RIP Darling.

This is such a pretty song, composed by Roger. Freddie sort of used this performance to say his goodbyes to everyone. The fabric of his vest was custom made for him and has the pictures of his 7 cats who were with him until the time he died. Freddie really loved his cats particularly one named Delilah who was by his side when he passed. Freddie left money and instructions about how to care for his cats and if Mary didn't want them that they were to go back to the shelter where he had gotten them, never be adopted and taken care of in the finest manner for as long as they lived. He didn't want any of his cats to be adopted by anyone, either they stayed at Garden Lodge or went back to the shelter and since it was written in his will, that was what had to be done. Mary ended up keeping 3 of them at Garden Lodge and 4 went to the shelter. This song sounds like it was written about all the years that the band had been together and the knowledge that soon it would all be over due to Freddie's failing health. I suspect there is a bit of that to the song, but Roger said he wrote it about watching his kids grow up and how it brought back memories of his own years growing up. This song is always bittersweet for me and usually brings at least a tear or two. Thank you for your reaction.

No criticism here but if you have three cats, you might as well have seven.

The 4 the cat went to a shelter did not go to a shelter. She found home for those 4 cat with friends and family that would take them in . The 4 cat owners would get money from Freddie Royalties to take care of the cats as long as the cats were alive. They never went into a shelter. I don’t know where you got that information from but is not true.

@@Sharon_Clawson I am surprised to hear that because Freddie was very specific in his Will and the cats were part of the Estate. Also one of them men who had been living at Garden Lodge, I don't recall which one, perhaps Jim Hutton or Joe Fanelli, publicly blasted Mary for not allowing him to take one of Freddie's cats when he left Garden Lodge. Also, it took a very long time for the estate to be settled so there was no monies released for such a long time that Mary feared that Garden Lodge would be lost or go into disrepair as there was no money for upkeep or people to help maintain it. Certainly until the estate was settled, Mary had no money to take care of it.

This song was released as a single in the U.S. on Freddie’s 45th birthday, September 5, 1991. Roger Taylor said, “I was sitting at home in a rather reflective mood and I did know that Freddie was ill, and I think it came out of that slightly melancholic mood. I guess I was trying to put an optimistic slant on it in a way that - those were the days then. And these are the days of our lives - Today is more important than yesterday”.

He died six months after making this video. I’m going to see IMAX Rock Montreal 1981 tomorrow. There will be tears. Freddie died on 11/24/91, 10 years after the first night of the two-night Montreal performance.

The show is so energetic and exciting, you probably won't cry, you will be wowed by Freddie and every member of the band. With the amazing sound, picture quality and the massive size of the screen, you will feel as though you are truly at that concert. You will also be taken aback by the amount of raw emotion in Freddie's eyes, on his face and in his body movements as well as actually feeling the strong connection he had with the audience, so many of the people were entranced by him and the audience was well engaged. I honestly felt like I was at a live Queen concert again and that I had a seat right on the edge of the stage. The wide format makes it easy to see the whole band working together so while it of course showcases Freddie since he is the Frontman, you also see how engaged Brian, Roger and John are and how important each of them is to everything that Queen was. Watching Roger nearly wore me out, he was like a non-stop machine and singing on top of it all. Have fun, I may go back and see it again tomorrow if there are any tickets still available.

Filmed a few months before Fred passed away, however this wasn't a song for or about Freddie, Roger had written it about his life and looking back, so actually never intended to be used this way

Great song, amazing guitar solo probably one of my favorites from this band (and there are many). Very difficult and painful to watch the video for obvious reasons.
