That’s amazing how Stitch Artist knows how to digitize the stitches so they match the shape/size of the items cut out.
As a Mac user I'm happy you're doing your appliqués with Embrilliance Stitch Artist 2. Great video, always learn something new.
This is just amazing. I could never figure any of this out without your videos!
Thank you for another great video. I spent most of the day yesterday trying to convert PES files to SVG files. So very frustrating until I watched your video last night. I should have thought of that earlier. You do an excellent job of explaining these processes. I'm off to the Happy Place to try again today. Again, thanks for sharing your skills.
It still looks like a lot of work and math !I think I’ve watched to many how-to videos on different Digitizing software, and they’re all getting mixed up and scrambled in my head.I’m going to try and just watch Embrilliance tutorials to see if it’s what I want.I did however understand the scan and cut info and was so excited when it worked.I just need to figure out the machine Appliqué stuff
Thanks Becky for another great video! I
Excellent. Thank you
The surprises just keep coming with different software!!! This is fun!
Embrilliance is amazing at removing any underline stitches. When I lay down my background quilting than add my embroidery design the underline quilting is removed from under any embroidery. The first time I noticed I thought I did something very wrong. Not wrong, just embrilliance removing un-needed stitches. Love embrilliance.
Becky, Thank you!! I have been wondering how to create appliqué using my Embrillance software. Now I have a starting point. Please, please, please do more tutorials using Stitch Artist 2 and making appliqué. If you have figured out how to successfully do hoop splitting using the Embrilliance platform that would be helpful too.
As always thanks for all your wonderful tips and tricks I’ve learned so much from you,and am looking forward to learning a whole lot more!
Glad it was helpful! And yes! More Embrilliance tutorials are on the way!
I just bought Stitch Artist 2 yesterday. I forgot to use you link. Sorry. 😢. I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do. 😊
I so wished I would have thought a little farther ahead but I cut out all the pieces for each fabric listed. I should have waited and just cut one piece that would fit all 4 little pieces at once. 😩😩 finally got all the pieces cut tho. Phew. Now I just need to create the PES files and start making the blocks. This has been a lot bigger project than I anticipated 🤪 but it’ll be worth it. Thank goodness for YOU Miss Becky, I have learned soooo much from your tutorials. Thanks a million. 🤗🤗
That's OK, live and learn right? Using my method, you actually use a lot less fabric so you get more scraps! YAY!
I can see I need to purchase Stitch Artist 2!
Becky great video always learning something.
Beautiful block !! Another great video….loved it!! 🤗😘
I am so confused. Do I need Simply Applique or Embrillance. I have a Scan n Cut and a Bernina 770 QE sewing sewing machine. My Scan N Cut is still in the box.
You can use either one. You don't need both.
I just recently added Stitch Artist 2 and your videos have been very helpful. I'm making an applique quilt that has all the pieces done in a heavy satin stitch which I didn't like - wanted something lighter. Fortunately there are only 5 applique blocks scattered throughout the quilt. Not as involved as your quilt but I'm learning a lot.
Becky I copied the shapes of L Holts prairie Meadow quilt on my scan n Cut, then transferred to Canvas. Most of the designs out lined twice but with a lot of broken lines. It’s such a mess and it’s taking me forever just to fix one design. How did you do yours, with a pen or pencil or marker? Can you show us how. Thanks and have a good time teaching and on your cruise.
If scanning the shapes themselves doesn't produce a good result (not all SNC machines have the same dpi (dots per inch) scan capability)), then I trace around mine with a dark fine tip Crayola Marker. This produces a clean single line in the scanner. amzn.to/3Skok18
Learning a lot from your videos. Guide lines and underlining stitches automatically deleted!
Careful using the Awesome with any overspray, it will eat the wax off floors. Its highly concenntrated.
Is there a way to assign stops in the software instead of assigning them on the machine every time you stitch the file?
Wow, I’m totally mind blown!
I had no idea I could do this with my Cricut and HV Embroidery machine. I bought the simple shapes for calico garden to do by hand. Please direct me to more videos. Do you have classes or a retreat to teach this?
I'm not sure you can use a Cricut unless you can digitize those simple shapes by taking a pic with your phone and add them to the Cricut cloud for the svg conversion. I have a playlist for Embrilliance.
I have a embroidery machine. Do you sell embroidery files for Calico Garden?
I have Wilcom software.
I used my printer scanner and scanned a picture of my Simple Shapes and I was able to save it as a jpeg. Maybe that will help. I printed it out and the size as exactly the same size as my shape. Not sure if other printers will give the same results.
My SDX 85 does recognize the 24 inch mat at all :(
No, the max size for scanning and cutting on the SDX 85 is a 12x12 mat.
@@PowerToolsWithThread The SDX 85 also does not recognize the scanning mat. I'll upgrade at some point.
I am having trouble with creating the stems. It is not showing me the property menu so that I can change the size and degree. It only shows me the color and line information. I can cut this after watching you without I guess, but I don't know if I can create them in Embrillance. I will try.
I figured out the fix, have to go out and back in after saving.
I create them in Canvas. The pattern gives the exact measurement of the stem so I use a rectangle shape and the properties box to make the exact 1/4" x ? whatever is needed. I don't pre-cut them on the SNC. Instead, I add HNB on the back of a larger piece of fabric, trim out 1/4" pieces, and then just add to the placement line as needed in the design.
Does Embrillance Essentials not make applique files and allow you to change the appliances stitch from satin to blanket?
Those features you mention are not available in Essentials. You need Embrilliance Stitch Artist 2 for those.
Can Simply Applique be programmed to remove the hidden stitches? Or is this only available in Stitch Artist 2? I am totally new at this and am very confused.
No, Simply Applique cannot be programmed to remove underlying stitches using this method. Stitch Artist 2 does it automatically.
Will stitch artist one turn the vector file into embroidery
No, you can't import vector files into Stitch Artist 1.
The SDX125e does not Scan the 12” x 24” mat. Can only scan a 12 x 12”. It can Cut both sizes though . I didn’t realize this until I tried scanning the simple shapes. But not the end of the world because I joined 2 pieces to make the page 12 x 12 and was able to fit the simple share on that, whew
