It felt so good when you said "it's time to clean this room" because I remember that, when you started, you would only go through about a handful of items from the playroom. But now? Deal with whole rooms in one go! Amazing ;D
Awe!!! Thank you so so much ♥️🙏🏻♥️ It’s because I’ve had such loving encouragement from everyone, it helped kept me strong to keep going even when it was hard! I really want to help others stay encouraged too...we really do heal together 💞💞💞
For me personally, allowing the panic attacks did wonders. I was so afraid of them that I avoided them. When I realized, it will (probably) not kill me, I allowed myself to go deeper and deeper into the panix each time. At the end, I learned that it REALLY didn't kill me, that I made it through the panic. This way, I gained back a lot of control.
Ms H. How about you make permanent tubs with labels when you are decluttering. Labels can be what it is and where it goes. Ex. Donate for goodwill and put in car. Donate for giving page. Recycling. Fb marketplace free. Fb sell. Box to basement. so that hubby can help deal with the stuff. See if you can give just a little to your hubby to keep the house cleaned up and tidy.
oh i like this! it wouldnt bother me if you don't do flat-lays of all the declutter items but just showed your bins full of things, if it makes it easier on you!
I like the thought of zones for categories you often use, and seeing stuff in each category! Your home is de-cluttered enough to bring several bins into each area before starting. That way, hopefully it's easier to take things to their "home".
Yeah sounds like Ms. Heart needs to declutter her to do’s. If she can delegate her tasks to her family with a system like that, that will reduce her load a lot👍
July 2024. I worked F/T when my kids were in school. I'd make a meatloaf or casserole the night before and my daughter would put it in the oven. Also, my older son enjoyed cooking dinner. I assigned my youngest a chore to be done each afternoon. Otherwise, they played outside. Tina, Al's wife
What if you cleaned up your laundry room again and dedicated the cubbies to your decluttering efforts for now? One cubby for neighborhood postings, keep some bags or bins on hand for tossy tossy, a bin for donate, bin for kids room, basement, etc. Then when you are decluttering you just bring the bins to the spot and then to clean up or pause the project you can just put the bins in the cube. Sort as you go and then you have a handy bin full to take to the basement to put away, etc .
I think we hype up a task like this into thinking it's going to take sooooo long to complete. But really once you start it takes way less time than you thought. Great video thanks for sharing!
Thanks for all your encouragement to declutter and dehoard our homes. Unicorns rock ! My husband has distant family members coming in August and I have two rooms and a crawl space to declutter.
Wow! You can see how much you have healed with hoarding disorder by seeing how quick you can make decisions and how fast you can reorganize a room now! You are amazing to watch in action!
Also your tote for Facebook selling totally inspired me to try it out. I have no desire to do e-payment or deal with strangers in this time of covid. This removes all the anxiety
This is so cool. I have the feeling that for you something changed immensly. I guess all the efforts you made in the past year like finding homes for things and making everything simpler now pays off. You tidied a whole room in one sitting and kept so many steps in mind. I would also recommend having bins with labels for the decluttered items so that you don't have to decide twice what to do with them.
Thank you so much for emphasizing the follow through with the end action tasks, that is my main problem I struggle with. I have put things in my trunk to get rid of & then it is forgotten. When I went to put my travel gear in for a trip I had to put it in the garage last minute (extra time spent & making me late). Later it ended up back in the house...ugh. I don't feel so terrible knowing other struggle with the same issues.
Keep up the good work!! Maybe it would be easier to store all the boardgames vertically for better access. Same way you'd store books. That way you won't have to take it out of a pile
Do the boys really need two bins of toys in the living room? I think they are of the age they can retrieve and put away toys from their room. If you moved those to their rooms two more cubes for games!
The honest answer is prolly not 🙏🏻♥️ the real answer is that I do because it’s still a coping mechanism for all my recent miscarriages. The boys used to always play with the toys in those bottom bins. Tyler will once in awhile but not everyday. I was able to downsize it to two...and trying to find the strength to Declutter the last two. I’ll get there soon enough 🙏🏻❤️ Thank you for always being an encouraging friend 💞🙏🏻
We sold our last bin of vintage yesterday, I might have already told you! We now have a clean garage with practical in use items organized into sections on shelving.Hurrah! Got my taxes done this last week, too! You have this! As you reach your goals, keeping up will be so much easier.
You are so fast now, I remember when it took you a long time to do small piles! What is in the bins marked toys” in the cube shelve in your living room? If toys need to put in boys room or decutter, right? I am so happy you put family games in cube shelves 🦋 You are doing a awesome job🌷 I really enjoy watching your videos 🎊 I have watched you from the first video ☝️
I think next time you do a video you should take a bin for your towns giving page, a bin for good will and a bin for trash/ recycling so that you can sort the items right away as soon as you de clutter a room
One way to avoid this is to view the declutter task as incomplete until the items are out of the house, or at least sorted into categories in the basement. If you filmed the whole process it could make you accountable for decluttering.
Maybe you can go from just "everything on the floor" to showing stuff being put into labeled bins and / or in the car. If it helps to avoid shuffling the mess, add it to the video.
Miss Heart ❤️ you are so right small wins are ssssooooooo important and great for motivation 👏 I’m wondering would it help if you had a few containers labelled in the laundry room for “towns giving page”, “goodwill”, “women’s shelter” etc. It might help having a place they can go to immediate until your ready to drop off. Great job as always. Stay safe and healthy. Mary, Joes wife 👏👍💐🦄
Maybe your family can help a little bit by bringing bins to you or putting stuff into the bins. They desire to help. They just need to know how and when, etc.
Great job , as usual!! It is hard for lots of us to get things out of the house once we’ve let go. I think for me that I see it as a separate thing to do , not a continuation of what I’m doing. My husband doesn’t stop until the decluttered items are at Goodwill or wherever we take them. Just the way our brains are wired.
You did great and I was happy to see how quick and easy it seemed because you had bins already in the basement for Christmas, and sentimental to go to! You are coming along so well!
I think I have a little OCD and some mild hoarding disorder but didn’t really realize it until I started watching your channel. And I know it started as a child because I collected things like stickers, stationary, pencils, erasers, etc... And I would keep them and not use them! As an adult I finally let go of a lot because I realized I didn’t need it. I offered to my kids and they passed on it and out the door it went. It’s very liberating to let go of stuff but I understand the emotional connection and not letting go until your really sure in order to avoid the regrets and anxiety.
You are doing so well to revisit these areas to maintain them!! In between ALL the other things you are doing!!! Yes, a 'mega-lounge' would be quite the novelty - for about a day 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 then 'bye!! And we'll done that you are staying organised!! 🌟🌟🌟
Because of your hoarding disorder, I'm not sure if you have the perspective to see this, but you are now at the stage with most of your upstairs where you aren't cleaning up giant hoards in small sections, you're cleaning up messes. Your living room at the beginning of this video looks like a non-hoarder's living room when it's a mess. The fact that you are cleaning up rooms at the normal messy stage shows just how far you've come in your healing. Another great video!
When I was younger I put in place cleaning rules for myself, the house had to be picked up before bed, we had to do chores on Saturday before anything else everyone had jobs even my 2 year old (he had to take the. Newspaper to the trash outside ) we would put on the beach boys crank it up and dance and have fun cleaning! Try to put some small things in place for your own peace of mind and sanity I'm so proud of how much you have grown!
You are doing Great. You are giving Hope to Everyone who knows someone who has a HOARDER Problem or Persons who themselves have that problem. One of my youngest says that we are not there but, I should start working on it Now. She ask that I thank you for her. That I've been more gentle with her because you're so very postively patient and that is something I am also learning from you. After my Min-stroke I stop being Patient with everyone especially with her and me. You are a Good influence in my life. Thank you you have the courage to making these Videos. FATHER LORD (GOD) is using you in unimaginable ways.
Love seeing your everyday life and how your systems are working for you or not! Very inspiring for me even though I don’t suffer from hoarding disorder ❤️
He my dear friend....another great video!!! I love how sweet you talk about your hubby 🥰, mine asks what he should do with stuff I have decluttered as he does not want to throw something away that should not be thrown away. 😉 Sending you many hugs from Luxembourg. ❤️🧡💛
It looks great. Please try telling yourself, “ Progress not Perfection.” I learned that from the fly lady and it helped me so much. I’m able to do just a little or do it imperfectly and still feel good about it. You’re doing great! Love it!!
You have done so well in your journey. As a long time viewer I don't need to see your tossy tossy pile all spead out any more especially the recycle and garbage. How about having the bins for garbage and recycle handy ad you work in a room? I used to be organized but have accumulated a mess while battling anxiety and depression. I'm chipping away on my good days. ❤🥰🇨🇦
Maybe take two empty boxes with two bags in each box with you for your declutter videaos. Box one: a bag for all the giveaway ,sale and a bag for put away elsewhere. Box two: one bag for recycle and a bag for trash. That way the intial sort is done as you work in the target area. This way even if you still set it in living room because of time , at least all the stuff is corralled.
You are doing amazing you know that!! I fully understand the struggle of moving forward with anxiety (and occasional depression) You are so incredibly strong and such an inspiration to many!! I will always cheer you on as you take the next step in this journey 🌟🙏🏻♥️
Way to go! Nice video! And I really like how the school"command center" works well and actually just needed a wiped out. You've arranged it so well! 💖🦄
U did so much in one video. Before u would of had to do small areas at a time. This shows how much u have healed in your hoarding. Well done Miss Heart❤
Incredible lady! You are such a wonderful cheerleader! Your living room looks so beautiful! Isn't is a wonderful feeling to reconquer that room. Returning it "back to zero".
Yesssss!!! We could not visit the dogs bc of Covid but we made an Amazon donation to them!! (They have a wish list!) I hoping next year we can visit them so we can have a video on it 🐶♥️
I need to start decluttering. My whole apartment is a complete mess. I've depression and anxiety and most days I struggle to get out of bed. I've told a few people and they've offered to help, but I'm too embarrassed to let them in. You give me hope that I will get sorted and get my home back. It's been lost among the piles of "stuff" and the dust. Thanks for sharing. X
That sounds tough Songbird! Let your friends in, yes it will be embarrassing but allowing someone to care and love for you will be a step towards healing ❤ also keep watching A Hoarders Heart for inspiration and motivation!
Try not to be embarrassed. Everyone struggles with something. If friends offer to help, let them help you get started. You can do it!!! One small area at a time like Ms Heart. Blast your favorite music to help motivate you!!! You got this!! 🤗
You did a really great job making bags of items to go to specific places this video! Love seeing your improvement every single video! Huge victories! 💜✨🦄
I keep coming back to Hoarders Heart I guess because she is so real !!And also I am so sick of the dollar containers or the organization store will declutter you ...that is not the truth the only thing that helps me is to get rid of stuff that I don’t need ..yeah great containers are pretty but they won’t make a cluttered house organized !!Thanks for not pushing those on us!!
❤ eta: So glad this went up right when my littles are on recess time. Thinking I need to do UA-cam so I can make videos to get rooms clean again.😆😆 When my husband and I were first married, I told him I should just invite people over weekly because that was the only time he cleaned. With 4 kids and both of us home all day every day- nothing stays clean long! 🤪
P.S. Loved this video so much. Fantastic job! It looks so good, I want to come over (you know if it wasn't pandemic times). Don't forget to change labels in & on your now single bin so it reflects what is in it now that it is combined.
What is it with kids and mattresses on the floor!?! My kids loved it when I put the futon mattress down, they'd roll all over it and flatten it out again for me 😂 Lovely job on the living room 👍
When our sons were toddlers I'd put the cushions on the floor. It was like a trampoline where they could run and climb and jump and if they fell, it was only about 4 inches. They were pretty okay. It gave me a break, but also brought me a lot of joy!
Great job! Just a thought; make sure with recording a video you always have tubs/bags nearby. This way you can decide the sorted items straight away in recycling, good will, shelter etc. Then the sorting is already done ! I often see you in your videos, decluttering , deciding what to go where and then just putting it to the side for it to be dealt with later. That is twice the work, why not make it easier on yourself :)
I feel ya on the ADHD! I definitely do not have hoarding disorder (I get rid of everything), but the ADHD is real. I only function because I’m a minimalist and own very little. Otherwise I would clean and organize continuously. I cannot imagine having hoarding disorder AND ADHD. Oh man girl. I have been watching you for about a year and you have made so much progress. I can tell you, the more you are able to get rid of, the easier the cleaning gets.
You did a great job! All of this took only one video, that's great! I personally wouldn't mind if the videos were longer because I enjoy them so much. Also when you will be decluttering that corner, you could check if there isn't anything left under the sofa. Have a wonderful day😊
System to get tossy tossy done at once. Go trough in your mind all different segments that you can recycle. How many are there? Take that many boxes or plastic bags and when declutering, put them already in sections so your husband can help you to take trash away.
One thing i suggest is getting a nice vacuum. Shark is a great brand. They can be expensive but i think it is worth it because a nice vacuum makes you excited to clean
Several years ago we were given an I-Robot for a Christmas family gift! My guys love technology, so all of a sudden they were rushing around to put things away so it wouldn't be vacuumed up by the I-robot! Wow! I loved that I didn't need to say a thing! It became more of a routine to tidy up each evening because the robot was scheduled to turn on! That was so nice to "not have to say anything", but the family was motivated to do what was needed without me saying anything!
Hello from Germany, hi miss Heart,.......and the Work go on..... Room to room, 1 Moants after another, we all can learn from you. You can be proud of you,you Rock it, be safe
For the end shot items in the morning is that something you can try and divide earlier and then when you film the final you can just have trash/recycle on one side and donate/sell on another side? That way others can get the trash/recycle out without needing to ask?
I've often wondered if your current system (making piles, then displaying them, and then putting them away) was a potential problem. This isn't the first video where you've shown things from past videos that you didn't get to the place where you decided they should go. I'll echo the suggestion others have shared about setting up bins/boxes with the categories you use most often. Then you could come back to them later, but they'll be contained and you'll already know what needs to be done with them - instead of them being in piles or bags that attract more stuff! You could also show us how full the bins were, instead of taking things to a different area to spread it all out on the floor.
When you film you could try having bins boxes or bags ready labeled as trash recycle good will sell or return to where they belong and cut out the whole second sort as the second sort is just busy making and it forces you to go back through the hoard which subconsciously gives you a chance to change your mind and keep it again. Did you keep the broken sunglasses because in the first sort you said you didn’t need them?
Pondering want kind of system you could install to quickly sort when you declutter. On the spot, not having to run around the house. Maybe you could have a tote like Clutterbug have for ”another room” when She is cleaning a room. Then again, I have similar issues and can’t be excused from them as I Don’t have any mental issues myself. In my case; dicipline needed, If I can stay up too long looking at movies/series/youtube on my phone I should be able to put things away the same day. Even hauling boxes down the stairs to cellar storage.
I don’t think I’ve seen you pan from the kids cubbies to your dining table. Your home is beautiful and clean! I don’t see clutter at all in there! Amazing job ❤️
I loved this video and I conected with you when you said you even need to know that the paper and the bags goes to a place that recicles each thing because i am like you 🦄, i even go to the beach with a bag and collect plastic to throw in the recicling bin. I just missed the part when you show the things you get rid of (even if in this video is just the matress and the litle paper thing it all counts) maybe is just because i love to see that photo at the end 😅
Good job! (Maybe once a week, before you go to bed, you can get a crockpot meal completely prepped for the next day. Before you go to work you just pull crock out of fridge and turn it on. It might take a little extra time the night before, but it would give you a little xtra time the next day when you get home. Just a suggestion. )
Miss Heart, you really are a whirlwind in your decluttering and cleaning 🌟🌟 I saw you have an extra cabinet by your tv bench that clutter the room a bit, is that something you could declutter? Of course just a suggestion but I think it would open up the room a bit more!
Hi Ms. Heart! Have you ever come across the term 'neurodiversity'? I think it's a fantastic, positive way to describe conditions like ADHD (and OCD, epilepsy, autism, tourettes, dyslexia, language disorders etc.) because it's describing something that is more about how you are and not something that is wrong with you. It's all about your wiring and not something that is negative and a deviation from 'the norm'.

Its so nice to see that you can do this all in one episode, in the beginning it would have taken you like 3 maybe 4 videos! Good job!
Ms H. How about you make permanent tubs with labels when you are decluttering. Labels can be what it is and where it goes. Ex. Donate for goodwill and put in car. Donate for giving page. Recycling. I agree! I also wouldn’t mind seeing you take it where it goes; the basement, the car, the trash bin...
Yeah sounds like Ms. Heart needs to declutter her to do’s. If she can delegate her tasks to her family with a system like that, that will reduce her load a lot👍
This is a great suggestion!
Loved the end result!!!

Pat yourself on the back! You are SO encouraging and gentle in your approach!!!! Your laugh is contagious too! Your videos are my favorite!
Thanks for all your encouragement to declutter and dehoard our homes. Unicorns rock ! My husband has distant family members coming in August and I have two rooms and a crawl space to declutter.
I see you have a flag in a memory box. Whoever it was, Thank You for your service 🙏 Great job, well done 👏
It’s nice to see that shelving unit be repurposed for something you’ll enjoy together! Great job!
Wow! You can see how much you have healed with hoarding disorder by seeing how quick you can make decisions and how fast you can reorganize a room now! You are amazing to watch in action!
I feel you on the adhd, I'm constantly cleaning up my unfinished actions 😴
Also your tote for Facebook selling totally inspired me to try it out. I have no desire to do e-payment or deal with strangers in this time of covid. This removes all the anxiety

Whoa!! You GO, Girl!! What a fantastic job you did, and so fast! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy!!

🦄. You are doing an amazing job each and every video. It’s motivating me to clean the areas I’ve been neglecting
Fab job! And I love when you talk to the camera. (Still haven’t QUITE got used to seeing your face!)🥰🦘🦘🦘🦘🐨

Way to go Mrs. Heart! Your livingroom looks good! Love that plushy looking carpet!
U did so much in one video. Before u would of had to do small areas at a time. This shows how much u have healed in your hoarding. Well done Miss Heart❤
You are on a roll! It's 9 PM here, so I'm gonna watch you shine, and then I'm going to bed....zzz :) Have a great weekend!
Incredible lady! You are such a wonderful cheerleader!
Your living room looks so beautiful! Isn't is a wonderful feeling to reconquer that room. Returning it "back to zero".
Did your kids do the Christmas paws giving?
Yesssss!!! We could not visit the dogs bc of Covid but we made an Amazon donation to them!! (They have a wish list!) I hoping next year we can visit them so we can have a video on it 🐶♥️
Bravo, Ms. Heart! Fantastic work! Terrific that you could clean up your living/dining room so quickly! 👏👏👏🦄🌈🦄
The time to get your room back in order takes such less time. Looks so good!
You did a really great job making bags of items to go to specific places this video! Love seeing your improvement every single video! Huge victories! 💜✨🦄
Wow you decluttered so many diffrent gorners in one swoop!!! Great job😱
Nice job! Try doing the Fly Lady Zones so you rotate through each room on a regular basis. It helps keep them from getting clogged up!!
I wonder if you could do a chart of monthly doing the Fly Lady steps you're ready to do. Would that help you?
That was an easy clean up! 👏👏👏👏🥰
great job!!!
Woohoo! You did it, your living room looks awesome! Thanks for all the great tips 💕
Well-home is were we live and love. So even if it is a constant cleaning is yet another a sign that the house is lived and enjoyed!:)
Love how you talk through all the video, it’s like a mantra! Nice work 👌🏻👏🏻you got your living room back😉
You are a such a hard worker. So proud of you and all your progress. Keep up the great work!
Great maintenance. Also, you are absolutely correct, a great Sunday basket or box goes so far in helping with paper clutter and budgeting tasks.
Started following the take it in small method I used to do to much and end up in a big mess lose motivation and give up thank you x
We have a mattress on the floor too! My 4 year old uses it as a trampoline
You are getting so much stronger in decluttering so proud of you congratulations 👏 💖
You did a great job! All of this took only one video, that's great! I personally wouldn't mind if the videos were longer because I enjoy them so much. Also when you will be decluttering that corner, you could check if there isn't anything left under the sofa. Have a wonderful day😊
You say "make it look pretty" a lot! Remember first and foremost that your living space needs to be functional! Pretty is just a bonus!!
Well done ❤ your doing so well, lots of love from London ❤
You are incredible
I think it was the Fly Lady that said Chaos is Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome. Totally agree.
System to get tossy tossy done at once.
Go trough in your mind all different segments that you can recycle. How many are there? Take that many boxes or plastic bags and when declutering, put them already in sections so your husband can help you to take trash away.
The living room is my hardest room!!! Making videos definitely helps me, too!
This motivated me so much! Off to go clean my mess from this week now.
For the end shot items in the morning is that something you can try and divide earlier and then when you film the final you can just have trash/recycle on one side and donate/sell on another side? That way others can get the trash/recycle out without needing to ask?
Great job!! Thanks for the motivation!! I love your videos!! 🦄
Yay! 👏🏻
Love the empty floor space !! Xxx
I always seem to get something from your videos. Thank you so much.
This is great motivation for me today. We have someone coming over to look around the house this weekend and its a mess!
🥳 Congratulations on cleaning a whole room! It looks great! Don’t you feel it’s all worthwhile?
Just a suggestion. )
Beautiful job. 🥰
I'd never heard of that term before, but it's something I can get behind! Thanks for sharing!
Great job!!! Well done!
