I’m getting a lot of messages of putting the bathroom cleaning supplies in the bathroom...and you’re absolutely right! When I was putting the supplies back in I thought, “I really should Declutter the bathroom under the sink cabinet so I can put it there! “ That’s another episode because it’s hoarded too 😅😅😅
For cleaning: I learned from Melissa (UA-cam "clean my space"). I only use vinegar, soap, baking soda and water for everything now. It's amazing how easy cleaning becomes and how little space is needed for storage.
The other option would be to put it on the right side of the cabinet so it's easy to pull it out and put it back. Where you have it currently, I'd be knocking the other bins down trying to get the bathroom bucket out!
@@haten4 i use to stick two small buckets inside each other. Then put my cleaning things in the bucket. upstairs oror inthe room i was working in i would use the second one with some water. the buckets nested taking little space for storing.when not in use. the buckets were abit deeper thenmost caddies so less tiping out of items.
Way to go! Much improved. A suggestion from me? I've learned that if I want my organized spaces to work, items need to be easily accessible and easy to maintain. You may have a tough time accessing the heavy turquoise bucket. It might be better to put the bathroom cleaner in the bathroom, remove the black wire shelf and move the heavier turquoise bucket on the floor near to your door. (I have to be careful about "stacking" items as that is a hoarding trigger for me).
With cleaning products, makeup, self care products: get rid of everything expired. Always. Don't ever think about it longer than checking the date and trashing it
For a more ecofriendly cleaning, I always go for well known multi purpose products like vinegar, baking soda, bar soap (liquid soap is mostly water anyway), with really few ingredients be careful with essential oil if you want to make your own products, most times it can be harmful for pets or sensitive skins, or useless when used the wrong way and don't forget that the most ecofriendly thing you can do is always using what you have first, so i would recommend using up the majority of your products before transitioning to different products, as you still have quite a collection here :) When you'll be ready to transition, I think you could ask or watch Erica Lucas' videos about it, as she mentioned various products accessible to you in the US The kitchen is looking really good tho ! and yes, it was full in those cabinets, but following you for several years now, I was expecting more tbh haha You really have come a long way, be proud of your achievement !
Thank you so so much my beautiful friend 🙏🏻💜🦄🌟 Yes, as I use up the non-eco friendly cleaning products, I replace them with better cleaning products! I’ll have to check out Erica’s video, thank you 🙏🏻💜🦄🌟
I’ve been watching you from the beginning, you have come aloooong way. The best advice I can give you is clean up after yourself, take a minute to put things where they belong, go to bed with a clean sink, don’t mess up what you’ve already organized and keep those wonderful boys in the loop. It’s ok to give them chores, if fact it gives them character and builds confidence. Keep up the good work!
I am so proud of you that you do not only declutter but also put your organization system in place. And it safe money to finally find and use the hoarded stuff like boxes an command hooks. It will also help your men in the house. 💝
If you put cleaning supplies in bathroom it’s easier to grab. Also, very convenient when someone unexpectedly stops by. You can easily pretend to use the bathroom and do a quick clean up since everything is in there.🤣😊
Whoa!!!!!! Thats a bit of cleaning products, lol. I'm glad you could let go of some of the products. I use vinegar, baking soda, peroxide, and dish soap. The only unenviromental product I use is toilet bowl cleaner, but only because I'm OCD about a clean toilet, lol.
I recently was looking into blueland products. They sell reusable bottles and then soap tablets that dissolve into the bottles. That way there’s no more plastic bottle waste you just replenish the tablets.
I stopped the video after 3 minutes just to comment that you are amazing and so inspiring and I love that you aren’t ashamed because you shouldn’t be and I’m telling myself I shouldn’t be either - it is what it is. Thank you for Inspiring me every time I watch your channel. Your channel is what the decluttering community was missing - thank you again!!!! Now back to the show!
You are right -- organized is a lot less Anxiety causing. Looking at your before and after photos, you do see the peacefulness of the after and the chaos of the before. Keep it up. You are doing so well. I like that you are on your own journey and not on someone else's timetable or rules -- that example gives "permission" for each viewer to do what they can as they can without condemnation.
omg the joy of label makers, it's so good! maybe you have a gift card that you can use towards a labeler of your own :D it looks pinterest perfect under that sink now! fwiw I think most people's under the sink looks like your "before" cabinet 😂when we moved into our apartment we inherited a lot of old cleaning products from previous tenants, it took me awhile to use it up or toss it out. also I LOVE the positive self-talk in this episode. of course you ARE organized because you have BEEN organizing for years! I love the idea of replacing the "I can't / I'm not"'s with "I am learning to... / I can practice..." it's not even about "being" one way or another way, it's just about your behavior - "I can figure out how to arrange like items together." "I can reuse what I already have to make my home beautiful." And you know you can do those behaviors because you've already got tons of practice!
Side note: I got some clothing, office style, from a facebook group. I re-donated any that didn't fit, to someone else and I felt so good sharing my good luck!!
This was really satisfying to watch! My #1 favorite cleaning supply is cleaning vinegar. It's regular white vinegar with more acetic acid. It's natural and safe, but it does an excellent job for everything. I put it in the dishwasher to get the lime/calcium build-up, I put it in the washing machine to disinfect and clean clothes, I mix it with dish soap to wash my shower/bathtub/sinks. I absolutely love it.
Perhaps in the spirit of using up what you have, make an anti shopping list. So look through the cleaning supplies, food, toiletries, gardening fertilizer, weed killers, bug sprays (my garage has a ridiculous number of sprays and bottles, I'm trying to use them up!) etc and figure out that you have 6 tubes of toothpaste and add it to the anti list until you're down to 1-2 spares. You have an entire bottle of windex?, add to anti list until you have an inch left, you have 4 bags of rice, anti list until you're down to your last bag. I just bought an algae killer for the pool...only to find we already had one...but since pool chemicals are not kept all together, and sometimes migrate...I wasn't aware we had one still. (Pool chemicals can't necessarily be kept all together...some are corrosive and others don't do well in humid areas etc. I need to get a better system than what's going on currently though...)
You got me off my tookus. One fertilizer used up (it was basically already used up), moved misc pool things to a box in the garage - labeled, stuck some seeds in the ground (I don't expect them to grow, but it's out of the house!), while planting seeds I found fire ant mounds that needed attending to so fire ant killer applied. I need to go wash the wasp trap to prep it for its last bait refill, then eventually figure out what a certain tool is to put it in paint or pool supplies boxes, I want a better home for the weed whacker spare spools too...like in the garage & not a windowsill... But the big need to do job is dig out the dandelions. Don't ask me how they survived an artic freeze for over a week here...
To give some perspective for how much one really needs to clean the house if anyone needs it: I have 1 toilet bowl cleaner, 1 glass cleaner for mirrors/windows, diluted dish soap serves as my all purpose cleaner and vinegar+baking soda helps with everything I can't clean with dish soap.
I know someone who swears by just white vinegar and water for her mirrors and glass. Can't recall if it's 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water or 1:3 vinegar:water though 😅
You are really amazing. Your donation to the women's shelter was so inspiring. You are not only healing yourself, but also doing something good and positive and helpful to others. Love your content so much.
When we bought our house, we just used peel and stick laminate tiles from home depot cut to size and it wipes out beautifully and covered the stained wood. Cost less than a dollar a square
We did the same. Or, if you have small scraps of the sheet vinyl flooring (the kind where a single piece covers a whole floor), then you can just lay one piece under your sink, no adhesive/sticky stuff needed. My plan is to eventually put everything in tubs, or in rollout shelves, or maybe small tubs with wheels. That way I can just pull a tub forward, get what I need, and then roll it back. My cleaning supplies: Norwex cloths for cleaning and especially for windows. No cleaning products, just water needed. For floors, just vinegar. Scouring powder (Barkeeper's Friend) to keep my stainless steel sink shiny. Seventh Generation products for bathroom cleaners. I think there's real value in keeping cleaning supply stock as simple and pared down as possible. I also try to get nontoxic, environmentally safe products, always.
Something to consider while organising is: which things are you going to reach for most often? And then put those things in the place that is reached the easiest. For example, the dishwashing pods will be used almost every day, so perhaps put those in the middle instead of on the side.
I clean everything with a mixtures of 1/3 white vinager + 2/3 water + 20 drops of my favorite essential oil (tale floors, kitchen, bathroom...) except wood. For wood I use a mixture of 1/5 white vinager + 4/5 of water + 2 teaspoon of olive oil + 20 drops of essential oil. Last but not least, for lime I use bicarbonate with a little bit of water, to make paste an leave it for a few minutes before rubbing and rising. I just have 2 sprays with this mixture + a jar with bicarbonate. Since I started using it, I saved a lot of money, plus is eco friendly and don’t need a lot of space to put it, plus the results are amazing. The first product to clean the stovetop is amazing (spray, 5 min, and you don’t even have to rub). As always, amazing job!!!
If you organize your space, watch if you have an easy access to the things. For example the blue big bin, you can not get to it easily because there is another bin in front of it. You can be very proud of your transformation!
I use vinegar and water for a lot of cleaning. Baking soda works well. I use rags and wash them. We live in a 2br condo. Before, we lived in a small house. A little dishwasher detergent (no pods) for the dishwasher, liquid detergent, and half the amount of laundry detergent(no pods). 1/2 a pc of a fabric softener sheet. You still have way too much, but you are making great progress. Tina
When you have some “spare time” LOL right! Paint the insides of the cabinets and doors white and it will brighten and lighten them up and ultimately make them prettier. BLESSINGS!!!
It’s definitely easier to keep surfaces decluttered when it’s easier to put things away in an organised cupboard rather than fighting to find space on a crowded shelf
I thought of you this morning when we loaded up the Subaru for donations for the homeless center and the humane society. I think sometimes we do not have enough to share if we of modest means, we really do if we take a good look around!
It’s so beautiful!! Also I love how you love the kon mari method now and taking off all the plastic wraps to USE the products now :) I remember your first few videos and you’ve come so far!!
Awesome job! I enjoy your vids. and just started watching. I have watched a few older vids. because that is more of where I'm at now. You give me the inspiration I need. It took me all this weekend to clear and declutter the top of my refrig. and the front. I have a hard time separating toss, put away, and give away and still have a few "up in the air" things to deal with. I can relate to the cleaning products. When I bought my house in "91" a can of furniture polish was left behind by the prior owner. I still have it all these years later (30!!) and still don't want to let it go even though I have better polish. Oh---I like the way you repurpose boxes and bins from other areas before buying anything, especially as storage needs will change over time as decluttering continues. Keep on keeping on! Thank you so much for sharing.
You did so well, it looks great! My only suggestion is to put the general cleaners in a shorter container so you can see what's in there, and pull them out without having to bring the whole bucket out!
The best shelf liner I have used under my kitchen sink is actually linoleum square tiles you can buy cheap at Home Depot and you just cut them to fit and it looks fantastic and easy to keep clean
My habit of hoarding disinfectant saved us this past year- Ha! Thankfully, we've used most of the hoard and I'm doing my best to not panic purchase more.
Oh my God, you got it, you are getting there, how wonderful it is getting your home, and your family seems so happy, your voice is so happy...you will also feel new energy at your home, at work, with your family, with yourself. I am so happy for you guys...
Nice job! Now you (and your husband and sons) can easily find any type of cleaning product you might need. I like that you used the grippers to line the area. They made it look new. Also, in case you ever have a leak under your sink things will be easy to grab and remove since everything is in containers now.
YAAAAASSSS! YOU’RE DOING SO WELL! 😁 I love how you put the half-used products on your town’s giving page! Reducing waste is important to me, too 🌱💕 you keep inspiring me in everything you do! I loved your women’s shelter video, too. You really ARE a magical unicorn! 🦄
You are doing a great job organizing! Just remember not to hoard a area that you have done in the pass? Once done with a area only declutter more if need be but don’t put stuff back into that area😁If you need storage containers for a future project than make a space in the basement for that! You go girl🥳
💚 would use the third bathroom to store all containers, extra cosmetic/cleaning suplies/ towels...and bring the rest to the basement... the place where you currently store extra cosmetics/towels I would use to store all crafting supplies .... 💚
I donated all the cleaning products from Alan’s parents estate to the shelter if they were current. They were happy to have. I never keep anything under the sink except for a drip pan and my dishwasher tabs in a jar. You did a wonderful job, but be watchful for any leaks. I use Mrs. Meyers everywhere in the house. How is your bedroom makeover going? I cannot wait to see your progress. Remember it does not have to be perfect!
Do you even know how proud I really am of you? Even when you first started decluttering, a lot of the things that you went through were organized already, like your desk for example. You really are doing such a great job!
I am in complete awe at how far you've come! I need to go back to the beginning and watch your progress (I've already started). I've read about more practice of getting rid of things makes it easier eventually, makes your decision skills stronger, but I haven't seen it before, in particular from a hoarder. You are SO soo encouraging! Thank you for putting this out here. I now feel like I can do it, too. ❤️❤️❤️
When I went through cleaning products, I went on a cleaning spree starting with the most empty bottles.😄 Love that you are gaining confidence in organizing. I have had Shaklee cleaners and like them. Their oven cleaner scrub works amazing. I use vinegar and water for much of my cleaning. Look forward to the next video.
What a great transformation. Well done 👏 I love when you can shop in you own house. As always your thinking of others and sharing the products your not keeping. I’m so looking forward to seeing yer bedroom. Stay safe and healthy. Mary, Joes wife 👏👍💐🦄
Great instructional and motivational video! Everything you did was all the tips I wanted to give you. Emptying out packages, using what you have, using containers to store those cleaning bottles to catch any spills, you can store the baking soda in empty clean kraft Parmesean cheese bottle, keep a shopping list on your fridge or any easy accessible place. I think you hoarded all of that cleaning supplies because you wish to have a clean house. A last tip is for you to keep only kitchen cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink.
Wow! Now the undersink looks so neat! Great job!:) Just thinking-perhaps the bathroom cleaners could be kept in the bathroom or in the nearby linen closet, so that it will be easier to grab them? I keep cleaning products in their "purposes" spaces-it helps me speed up and clean more "on the go". Maybe it will be useful also for you:) Cheers to you Mrs. Heart! Your videos are always inspiring!:)
Looks great!! So, I am a minimalist, but my under the kitchen sink looks like your before 🤣. I forgot about it so I’m taking inspiration from your here and I’m gonna do this!
Your under the kitchen space looks so organized and beautiful now! Great job! Love that shelf liner you used. Honestly, for cleaners, I just use a spray bottle of vinegar, water and Dawn for most jobs. I use vinegar and water in a spray bottle for mirrors and glass. The only chemical products I ever use are Weiman's stainless steel cleaner and Pledge orange oil for furniture. For the oven baking soda and vinegar work great. Three family members have asthma, so I try to use natural products whenever possible. 💕💖
You are doing such a fabulous job! I am so proud of your progress!! As far as cleaners...I use baking soda and dawn for scrubbing surfaces like the tubs&sinks. And then vinegar with water and essential oil to wipe surfaces. Sometimes I use Mrs Meyers..because I just love the way they smell!!
My family really likes Melaleuca. We haven't always used that brand, and there have been chunks of time where we bought from the store. Ecosense, or a lot of products with 'green' or 'eco' in the title, were the products I went with before. Though some seem to not clean as well as others. So I never really found a favorite. Way to go on your journey! I discovered you while watching the January declutter playlist from Minimal Mom. I am a sentimental hoarder. Or so my sister tells me :) Since my last move almost 2 years ago, I've donated quite a lot :)
I just did a cleaning closet reno where I'm now able to put all my cleaning supplies, vacuum, and mop all in one home. You know you're an adult when you get excited about a cleaning closet 😂 for natural cleaners I mainly use a orange vinegar peel mix with water. It suffices a good chunk of my cleaning needs.
Yes you are good at organizing! I am so happy you have finally realized that you are capable of achieving goals that can seem “unrealistic”. I know, I only “know you” from videos, but I can already claim that YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SOUL, YOU ARE BRAVE, KIND, GOOD HEARTED and so much more and I can see how you are healing and how you are becoming even happier!...wish you all the best! Love from Slovenia 🇸🇮 ❤️
It has been several months since you posted a basement video. You did so well on the Christmas Cave. Here's to hoping that you can soon get back to it and slay the dragon!!
Don't buy a lablemaker before you used up your paperlables (where you can write on by hand) supply! just reward yourself with one, when the stack in the craft supplies is gone :D And please don't trash the cleaners, there are places where they take old chemicals/medzine/etc. to dispose of them safely 🙏
Wow! Great job as usual! I would have had a hard time getting rid of the cleaners that still have a little bit left. I’m glad you can give them away. You might want to set a time limit for how long you’ll hold onto them if someone doesn’t respond right away to your Facebook post. Inspirational as always Ms. ❤️
Well done on decluttering and organizing this! If you are planning on using the towel in that place, make sure to be wary of mold forming with a damp cloth in a closed space.
@@ahoardersheart maybe hang your towel off the handle of one of the top drawrd. better air flow. also my experience with dish cloths is out of sight and then forgotten.
I discovered Dr. Bronner's tea tree soap for moldy areas. The tea tree oil kills fungus. It also works on athlete's foot or jock itch. Multipurpose cleaners are the best!
That’s definitely the better idea!! After I put it in, I thought I should have it in the bathroom under the sink but that’s hoarded too 🤣🤣 Definitely another video for that!!
I make a vinegar, essential oil, water mixture. I use it as multipurpose cleaner and even for my windows. I do use bleach in the bathroom and when i need to sanitize in the kitchen though 😬. I also invested in e-clothes and I love them!
Hi! Most of the time I use white vinegar/water perhaps with one drop of dishsoap. Sometimes I do a infusion with orange peel and white vinegar and sometimes I use organic green "soft soap" . I use magic erasers if needed and steel balls that don´t scratch, bamboo micro cloth towels and old cloth rags and ofc bicarbonate.
Wow, what a satisfying episode, you will get so happy every time you open that cabinet under the sink. :) Yes, another Konmari in the kitchen sounds like a great idea! :)

Plz start your basement declutter series again. I think everyone would love to see its transformation.
I so adore all of your energy, positivity, optimism and appreciation!!! I know how hard you have worked for this and you are doing amazing!!!
Thank you so so much my beautiful friend 🙏🏻🦄💜🌟 Your kind message keeps me encouraged to keep going 💗💗
I love using a label maker or my Cricut to label things. Under the kitchen cabinet drives me crazy. Can’t wait to see your bedroom makeover.
Amazing!
You are doing such an amazing job. So proud of you.
3 words--- YOU GOT THIS!!!
It looks so great!!😍
I've recently done under my sink n the exhilarating feeling of what I accomplished was amazing!!❤
U r so inspiring! Thank u!💜🦄
Your content deserve to be shown on TV show!!! A lot of people need to see your progress!!!
My habit of hoarding disinfectant saved us this past year- Ha! Thankfully, we've used most of the hoard and I'm doing my best to not panic purchase more.
You are making so much progress ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much my beautiful friend 💜🦄🌟
Oh my God, you got it, you are getting there, how wonderful it is getting your home, and your family seems so happy, your voice is so happy...you will also feel new energy at your home, at work, with your family, with yourself. I am so happy for you guys...
Great declutter and organize of under the kitchen sink friend.❤️
looking underneath your sink makes me feel relaxed after a long day of work
Nice job! Now you (and your husband and sons) can easily find any type of cleaning product you might need. I like that you used the grippers to line the area. They made it look new. Also, in case you ever have a leak under your sink things will be easy to grab and remove since everything is in containers now.
I think the tossy tossy piles get bigger every week. You're doing an amazing job!
Well done.......you're doing amazing work.......can't wait for your next video ☘
YAAAAASSSS! YOU’RE DOING SO WELL! 😁
I love how you put the half-used products on your town’s giving page! Reducing waste is important to me, too 🌱💕
YAAAAASSSS! YOU’RE DOING SO WELL! 😁
I love how you put the half-used products on your town’s giving page! Reducing waste is important to me, too 🌱💕 you keep inspiring me in everything you do! I loved your women’s shelter video, too. You really ARE a magical unicorn! 🦄
Wow a huge tossy toast pile. Well done xxx
You are doing a great job organizing! Just remember not to hoard a area that you have done in the pass? Once done with a area only declutter more if need be but don’t put stuff back into that area😁If you need storage containers for a future project than make a space in the basement for that! You go girl🥳
Great job! It looks very nice under your sink.
Good job. Simple and organized.
My kitchen under my sink looks just like this!! My turn to declutter! ;)
When I went through cleaning products, I went on a cleaning spree starting with the most empty bottles.😄
Love that you are gaining confidence in organizing.
Thank you so so much my beautiful friend 💜🦄🌟🙏🏻
You are absolutely right!!! The bathroom cabinet under the sink is hoarded too 😅 So that’s for another episode for sure!!! Thank you 🙏🏻💜🦄🌟
I loved this video. Very satisfying!
The before picture looks just like under my kitchen sink! That would be a great project for today - thanks for the inspiration.
I had an old yoga mat and cut it fit under my sink. Works great and can be wiped off easily! Yours looks great though, love the gray and white!
Part of Konmari is to collect all your cleaning products from everywhere in your house and then declutter.
Super proud. You go girl! 🤗
Looks great!! So, I am a minimalist, but my under the kitchen sink looks like your before 🤣. I forgot about it so I’m taking inspiration from your here and I’m gonna do this!
The end result came out so nicely!!! The bathrooms could be your next project. Keep it up girl!!
Ohhhhh...good to know!! Nice and easy!! I do like Mrs. Meyers too!! Thank you so so much!!
Great video! I also save organizing pieces for future use. It turned out great, thanks!😊💕
Great job. Keep going you are making amazing strides
A much needed video for me!!
So very proud of you.
You are doing a really good decluttering you have really inspired me to keep decluttering.
Very inspiring! I need to do the same decluttering.
I bet the women’s shelter would love the cleaning supplies!
Don't buy a lablemaker before you used up your paperlables (where you can write on by hand) supply! just reward yourself with one, when the stack in the craft supplies is gone :D
And please don't trash the cleaners, there are places where they take old chemicals/medzine/etc. to dispose of them safely 🙏
Ohhhhh...I didn’t think of that! Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ I wash the kitchen towels/change them out about once a week...I hope that’s enough to prevent mold
@@ahoardersheart maybe hang your towel off the handle of one of the top drawrd. better air flow. also my experience with dish cloths is out of sight and then forgotten.
I use vinyl flooring squares from the hardware store to line the bottom of these cabinets! Easy to cut and stick in place, much sturdier.
You are doing an awesome job!
Your tossy tossy piles are always motivating!!
I discovered Dr. Bronner's tea tree soap for moldy areas. The tea tree oil kills fungus. It also works on athlete's foot or jock itch. Multipurpose cleaners are the best!
Yay organizing!!! Personally, I keep bathroom cleaning supplies in the bathroom or the linen closet next to it.
Wow! Just wow!
