- Since I’ve been working so much...why not make a decluttering video in the back office!! The more we Declutter, the more we strengthen our decluttering muscles! Plus my coworker Jenna will be so incredibly surprised to see the back office neat & tidy!! She started her own UA-cam about her spiritual journey & I left a video link to check her out 💜🌟

She will probably always have videos. Decluttering is an on going process for everyone but especially recovering hoarders. We usually need to do a Declutter at least once a year as our feelings constantly change so what we want to keep and get rid of is always on the move! No fear!!

I’m glad you cleaned the office. I peaked at Jenna’s channel and she seems to be a very neat person lol.
Good job! Seems you need to take the time at the end of each workday to do a 10 minute clean up, where you reset your space back to zero each day. Also I would take note of what your types of clutter are (garbage, recycling, shred, put away elsewhere, etc) and come up with systems to manage each one. Ie a recycling bin under your desk so the second you have a recycle paper you can toss it right in instead of shuffling it from pile to pile. Seems like you also need some paper organizers to sort and gather your paper as you go instead of creating mountains that you have to go through multiple times.

Decision fatigue is legit. It wears you down so much, can't imagine having to deal with it while moving! They are two situations that tire me the heck out! Good on you for persevering through both of them! 👍💪

I kind of miss your on-cam decluttering 😊 Seeing you and just talking while you are at it, instead of just the voice over. The voice over is very different, a little less emotional maybe. I kind of felt closer to you when it wasn't the voice over, if that makes sense 😜 Maybe because the voice over is not you in the actual moment. But I'm curious, what has brought you to the change?

Nicely done. Like really nicely done. you really cleaed the rubble out. Yep minus filing paper---it is easer to clear out stuff when it isn;t ours.
One thing , card board boxes need tobe flattened , cut tape seam so they can flatten. it takes so much less space in the bin.
I think she only left it unflattened because of all the Styrofoam packaging inside. Seems like she usually breaks boxes down further, so I figured it must have been pretty stuffed 🤷♀️
Cold here but used to it. Montanans are all preppers! We have donated as much supplies as I dare to share to the warming centers and homeless camp site, since we are of modest means. Gratefully we have power but have been asked to conserve for the rolling blackouts in the east . I did most of the household chores electricity free with no problem, since we have lived most of our lives without such conveniences . Wow, what good organization! Beautiful results.... I cannot wait to see more progress on your bedroom reno!
Ohhhhh...I always wanted to visit Montana, the pictures there are absolutely beautiful! Of course, I’ll visit in the summer when it’s warm!! And I LOVE how you help others in your community! That is what I want to be more involved in: giving back 💜🙏🏻🤩🦄
@@ahoardersheart This community is a helping place. Many many people here are working hard to help those less fortunate. We are just retired senior seniors and are actually considered low income but we are happy and live well on what we have. I think that is the answer, live well below your means if possible and find productive hobbies. Your art is wonderful, I think there could be a future career in it!

Not just the Decluttering, but understanding why you hoarded so much and how you have been able to let things go, as you discovered more of yourself and the joy that comes from sharing the “things” and freeing yourself! This looks amazing. I have found the best way to keep my desk and office organized is to take 30min on Friday to clean up before I go home for the week. It is so much nicer to come back to a clean office on Monday. I think you are open over the weekend to but maybe you have a slower day that you can make your clean for 30min day.
I did the same...filed memos, threw away unneeded paperwork, cleaned the desk so Mondays I could walk in fresh...

For an office it feels like you have very little storage furniture there, is there any way you could maybe ask your boss for another set or drawers or another filing cabinet? :) That might help. You could also see if you can set aside fifteen/ten mins every Friday, for example, to just dedicate to filing and recycling so it's ready for Monday - I know that isn't always possible ;) and on a Friday I just wanna get out of there asap, but it might be a good intention!
I would have used that microwave box for the declutter but if not I would have broken down. If you break down you can have SO much more room.

Good job! It looks amazing! Do you have a system for paper in place to keep it from pilinc up? I would suggest you put boxes under the desk for shred and recycle. And maybe you could also put some sort of bin or just a chosen spot on the desk where you can put the documents to be filed? At the end of the week you could emty those three to start them emty again on monday.
I went to Jenny's UA-cam. It sounded interesting but as a Christian it rubs me the wrong way. I wonder if some of the infor could work by centering around God not the energy out there.???

Omg!!! I LOVE PAPER! I had an organizing client that had 30 banker boxes of paper that had to be sorted through and I was in heaven!! It took 3 of us 40 hours to go through it all. So 120 hours of paper!!!
I’ve seriously considered focusing my business on office and paper organization. Once the house reno is complete and I restart the business here in FL maybe I will do that.
Please come help me, I have boxes of paper in my house and plenty in my storage!!!

I think you should do a “The day after” series! The day after a birthday, or a party or a milestone where gifts or objects are exchanged or accumulated you document the process of sorting, categorizing and putting everything you got in its proper place! It would be such a great exercise for you to reclaim your space and reinforce your new hard earned habits!

How about bringing some of your plastic boxes from home, label and put them under the desk then it will not matter what type of cardboard box you receive your supplies in you can empty and everything looks the same..

Just a warning, if you are a Christian please be careful with the new age practices. Please look into it. There are some channels that provide good research about this (Apologia Studios, Doreen Virtue).

@@lovescraps07 I was asking why you feel a Christian should be careful adopting other methods of mental selfcare. I tried to look into the channels you mentioned, but couldn't scroll past the many anti-abortion videos as they disturbed me a lot. I'm genuinely curious though.
@@Mar10la those channels have a lot of content explaining why christians should not get involved with new age practices. I don’t know about the videos you mentioned because those channels are not about that. New age practices take the person far from God.
