Our brains, like the rest of our animalia familia, are wired for survival. And like a 19th Century child’s fixation of sugar-plums on Christmas Eve, visions of food and sex constanly dance through our head. We eat to gain the needed energy to survive and we reproduce to keep the numbers of our species strong. So the next time you down your 4th donut while scrolling through Tinder at 3:00 am, remember you’re doing it for the good of humanity. But before our life of luxuries made it seamless for food and fun to come straight to the door, we had to work hard to achieve our survival needs. This isn’t some rant your grandfather tells you about how much harder things were when he was your age when he worked on a farm or whatever things adolescent grandpas do. Because his paleolithic predecessor could give him the same lecture. “Oh you had to wake up at 5:00 am to water the crops and steal a chicken’s baby. Well yesterday I woke up to a leopard in my cave, gnawing on my two year old and had to fight a Giant Kangaroo over a handful of seeds.”
Now it’s easy to be human. All you truly need is a warm room with the ocussional slop bucket left outside the door. You can leave the reproduction part to your cooler cousin who hit puberty before you. Instead, in today’s world it is harder to be an individual. With an endless supply of entertainment and opportunities to keep you occupied, there’s a social pressure to stand out as an individual who broadcasts every aspect of their life. - Розваги

I always like this channel. I come to this place for a few years ago, and one day I had to go to their first videos and watch all of it that I didn't saw before.
All cool stuff, but everything changes trought the time. So I never thought about it as you said. I would still have followed it, just as long their theme wouldn't be about football strategy😅 One of the very few things that I wouldn't see or hear about😅 While my friends that watch football, that one day I don't see them😂
Jokes aside, nothing last forever. But it's so cool that they still going on. Hope they continue for as long as possible, with things and wonders, from every corner in our universe, and the next one😄

It’s been awhile strange mysteries welcome back
I feel like all humans have a collective intelligence and can communicate and connect on a level that is metaphysical... but there is something purposely keeping us apart from the rest of the planet. The more I see of humanity, the more I see why it might be necessary. Even some who profess seemingly peaceful and good ideals want to do so in... questionable ways full of anger. Are we an experiment or are we being punished?

Bacteria on our bodies probably think that the entire universe is underneath our fingernail. They have no idea how big the world is. Who's to say we aren't bacteria on a comparatively massive organism? How would we know?

Not to suggest that it is devoid of consciousness. Science is discovering hints of consciousness on a subatomic level. The universe is saturated with consciousness.

Mmm interesting topic, though I do not think human intelligence seeks a common good (including all planet organisms) in many cases. In many modern cultures it is mainly used for personal or human species interests. But as I said is a super interesting topic, and awesome video!! Thank you
"As above, so below." I believe that it's the same at the collective scale as it is at the individual scale: we all have some portion of ourselves that is working for our own true good in a way that also benefits others (which is the TRUEST good), but this exists in opposition to the part of us that is working towards a short-term benefit that comes at the expense of others and the environment around us (taking more than we need). Our existence is characterized by the best within us battling the worst within us, mediated by our consciousness having the choice of which way to tip the balance: short-term pleasure limited to our own individual gain at the cost of long-term improvement at a personal and societal level? Or short-term sacrifice at a personal level to the benefit of long-term improvement for not only ourselves but everyone around us AND our children AND their children? It's clear to me which choice is easier to make, and thus why larger cultures tend to tilt towards the former, the path of hedonistic indulgence. It's also simultaneously clear to me why it's so difficult to choose the latter, when there is, by nature, so much miserable inequality in our society.
It's horrible and agonizing of course, but this is our burden to bear; either we decide to stand up and bear it towards collective prosperity, or we waste all of our energy trying to escape the burden and in doing so doom ourselves and everyone connected to us to eternal suffering.
@@BULLTRONHERO There are some interesting points that you make. My comment was more about how human intelligence is not linked to the decision of working towards the TRUEST good. The level of individual or planetary intelligence (as we define it) won't be the factor to decide if we save or not the planet, in my opinion.

I just feel like we deserve some kind of explanation for the inconsistency of this channel. Personally I was a top fan and big contributor on Patreon and I just feel like I spent a full year getting ripped off before I finally gave up and unsubscribed from Patreon. But that's just me and that is simply because they kept taking my money while completely ghosting us all. Hopefully they're back to stay because this WAS at one point my actual favorite channel but I feel some type of way.

The explanation of things that happened soo long ago can only be considered an educated guess. I never hear anyone mention that.
No it's not. We have genuine ways of approximating the values of things before us as well as established casual relationships that allow us to investigate things using first principles. We do have a ground truth.

He has a point in saying we can never truly know, because we as human beings will never have the full truth. We can use established rational and collected knowledge to make educated guesses, that fits observed reality. That was always the role of Natural Philosophy, which slowly evolved into science, but that core principle never changed, merely was named a method and given clear steps . Hence why common knowledge has advanced.
Now with the discovery of Quantum mechanics, and even some evidence of Quantum Biology, old theories of the past we have may not actually be the truth, may be related, or may be coincidental.
What an unintelligent thing to say… you need to read a real book once and awhile 🤦♂️
