    Thank you very much. I found what I was looking for.That is how to navigate the quick view using the joystick on the gimbal instead of tapping on the phone screen.The lesson Made it simple and you were unassuming.Brought it really down to the beginner’s level for me.It was very helpful except that sometimes the pace was a bit fast for me.So I had to pause and rewind again.Overall, I learnt a lot.Will keep coming back to this clip again and again in future.I enjoyed it.Again, thank you!

      @@shakejones You can hook up a cable to charge the phone from the om4, my phone always loses charge well before the gimbal. Hotish to touch is normal - especially when filming long scenes and using 4k or slomo. One of the best explanation out there, thanks for the videos you do they are really great and simple. Just one thing, do you have any video on how to balance your DJI Osmo Mobile 3? I know balancing in OM 4 is lot easier and quicker.

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому +1

      I appreciate your comments thanks. I haven’t got a video for balancing the om3 at the moment. But hold the arm and make sure the phone holds the horizontal position by sliding the phone left and right. then swivel to vertical and use the slider on the om3 arm to do the same vertically.

  • @MyHomeFarm
    @MyHomeFarm 3 роки тому +1

    Fab tutorial. Thank you.
    I purchased the Osmo 4 gimbal this week, and have been experimenting with it. So far it’s been great.
    One of the things I wanted to use it for was to film myself using tracking, in the kitchen for example while cooking, with the gimbal on a tripod. It tracks me perfectly, but it’s got an annoying tendency to bob up and down if I step back or forward slightly which leads to the footage being very jumpy, and it’s super distracting.
    Is there a way to avoid or negate this?

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому

      congrats, really glad you're finding it great. I don't think i could be without mine happy filming :) and thanks for taking the time to comment.

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому +1

      ok and I've taken a look at some of my footage with the active track but I haven't got much footage stepping back and forward. I'm going to take a look and try it out on mine see if I get the same problems. What phone are you using? Also I assume you are using the front camera. As a test try the rear camera - I Know you can't see yourself but you can use the gesture and with most phones there should be a light to let you know its working. let me know how you get on and ill be sure to update with any of my findings. good luck.

    • @MyHomeFarm
      @MyHomeFarm 3 роки тому +2

      @@LiquidErf Thank you. I’m using the iPhone 11. I was using the rear camera (not the selfie cam).
      For the bobbing, you can see the gimbal making tiny up and down movements as it tracks you; even as you walk across the room. This translates, in my case, to jumpy footage. Will be curious to hear your thoughts.

    Great tutorial. Simple and easy to follow. In all different modes, ie ‘tilt locked’, ‘fav’, etc, do you keep your hand on the trigger during each mode? Thanks.

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks. If you mean pressed then no. But I keep my finger resting on the trigger when in follow mode ready to press and hold. This then locks the 3 axis so ideal if I’ve been following my subject then want to freeze the gimbal and move up or down fir a nice cinematic effect. I’ll be showing some of these in a video coming shortly. Subscribe and press the bell if you want to be reminded. Thanks again.

  • @rogsolaris7411
    @rogsolaris7411 3 роки тому +2

    I’m having a really difficult time balancing. I don’t know what the hype is with this gimbal, I find it frustrating to use. In Tilt Lock Mode, when I tilt down, it only holds position for a short range until it starts pointing down (as in, Follow). Then I bring it up, but the angle does not come back up - camera still facing down. So I have to use the joystick to right it while shooting, which is not smooth. This is ridiculous. Couple other complaints on usage... is Pano mode supposed to tilt off axis? Mine goes from balanced to tilting off axis between Photo and Pano modes (horizontal or vertical). Like, it intentionally tilts itself between modes. Any way maybe I just need to understand it more. Sorry to rant, thanks for the nice videos.

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому

      Talk me through exactly what you are doing regarding the balancing. Also, Are you using the magnet stuck to the phone or the magnetic clamp? When you switch off are you taking the phone off the clamp.

    • @alanfindlayviewfromtherock6200
      @alanfindlayviewfromtherock6200 3 роки тому

      This is pretty much what I’m experiencing. The phone is balanced ok, but the modes simply don’t work. I have another gimbal by Hohem and it works as it should. I’ve persevered with the OM4 but it’s now up for sale.

    Great tutorial👍🏼 2 questions if you don’t mind... when running or moving quickly how much confidence do you have with the strength of the magnetic connection, I’d worry about the phone dropping of at a cost of 10 times the price of the gimbal. Also in a similar way to using it with vloogging how would this work with a video call, say on Microsoft Teams, could you take a walk whilst doing the teams meeting and the gimbal keep you centre focus and stabilise the shake etc?

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your comment, the magnet is very strong, I’ve never had it come off, I run with it all the time. It stabilises just the same with any app like ms teams but you can’t use active track. You would have to keep yourself in the centre manually, hope that helps

It did work well, then I tried installing it on another phone, and now it won't work on either phone. I miss the option to press the record on the gimble. The mimo app still works perfectly, but not the camera app, even in its limited capacity. I can still use it as a stabilizer but can't press record. I have a samsung S 10. Thanks! In regards to the DJI osmo 4 magnetic ring, isn’t it meant to be placed on the magnetic clamp? My question is what if it’s the wrong position? Can it be removed ??

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому

      You use either the clamp or the magnetic ring. There is a template supplied to ensure placement is correct if you choose the ring. It’s designed to be semi permanent so you can’t remove and redox it easily. That’s why I use the clamp as well as because I use a case and the ring is a couple of mm thick.

    Is DJI OM 4 compatible with Iphone 12 Pro ? and works all functions such as stabilizer and more?

    • @LiquidErf
      @LiquidErf  3 роки тому

      Hi Mette, yes it’s fine with all the functions. When using the DJI Mimo app there bay be some restrictions, like all phones. An example is the SLO motion is only at 8 x. However I use the native iPhone camera app when using SLO motion and it works fine, you don’t gave to record using the Mimo app. Note that if using the iPhone camera app instead of Mimo there will be some features that won’t work like zoom button, you have to zoom using the iPhone app.

      Hi Jimmy, unfortunately not. The osmo will stabilise your footage in one of the video modes as long as you select it first in the Mimo app. But active track is a software feature within the Mimo app so can’t be used in any other program.
