    Haters be drinking haterade. This techniques could of course be used. They are drilled over and over to create muscle memory. If you're going to hate on someone at least have a point. He's a decent teacher and puts effort and skill into what he does.

    It is a great practical-demonstration of attack-defense approach to shadow boxing. I watched your video intently to the end . Being initiated into both'; karate and kung-fu and a little bit of judo I would say this teacher is inspirational! Thank you for caring ENOUGH TO SHARE the complimentary lesson Sensei!

    Good job, great videos. I was wondering, have you ever created your own forms or techniques? The reason I ask is twofold, first I've heard it said that once you become a black belt you start to experiment and carve your own martial identity (as well as master all that you've learned). Second, I'm curious as to what your own designed forms would look like, function, and what you would draw from to create them. Anyway, thanks for posting your curriculum.

      he practice what??
      I don't ever think that he really practice all of them
      he has already build up his body, he already got all the muscle and flexibility all he needs
      but see, he waste it all with THESE ALL
      he should really find a real teacher and learn from them

  • @toxickremedy

    I like the foot work. I'm learning wing chun right now and I don;t like the footwork for real fights I think i'll use the the footwork in these moves and wing chun arms. Anyone know what I'm getting at? Any suggestions?

    • @BearsArms45
      @BearsArms45 7 років тому

      Michael Li yeah.. I study WC. What you mean by using his "footwork" is just using natural movement, I.E.- wing chun.
      The yee gee Kim yuen ma (character 2 adduction stance from siu nim tao) isn't fighting footwork. It's a training stance to help you gain the idea of a narrow leg bridge and clamping. What he's using is basically a side neutral stance that you'll learn further down the WC road. Once you get through Chum Kiu you'll learn the footwork is supposed to just be natural.
      Trust your system. Learn from JKD if you want additional techniques as it's core is WC but I recdomens not worrying about incorporating any other styles until you're far enough into WC. I tried incorporating every thing else my first few years of WC but further I went the more I realized I'd just been misunderstanding or too amateur to apply WC properly.

    hey i wanna start doing some self defense techniques maybe kung fu or tai chi where should i start with ? just regular punches or what?

    • @Jon-ov4nc
      @Jon-ov4nc 9 років тому

      tai chi is good, but takes more time than most styles to understand well, if you can find someone who knows how to use tai chi quan. other styles of kung fu such as xing yi quan, hung gar, wing chun etc are much more accessible. if your interested in tai chi then i would first recommend xing yi as it teaches the concepts of internal arts very well. generally speaking the basic skills of any martial art are identical, a punch is punch and a kick is kick. it wouldnt hurt no mater what you choose to learn to work on basic punching and kicking skills as well as blocking.

    You said you teach people to only do a front kick(?) to the groin or the chin, but how about the diaphragm? Isn't that also a vulnerable area?

    • @ImAlphaBro
      @ImAlphaBro 9 років тому

      or the solarplexus its a bunch of nerves just under your sternum that when you hit it it makes the diaphragm freak out knocking the air out of you

    • @ThatGuy-ep7xq
      @ThatGuy-ep7xq 9 років тому

      Solaire Of Astora Absolutely. So why is it that he is teaching people to do it only to such specific areas?
      Also, I would imagine that a kick to the solar plexus or diaphragm would be easier to land than one to chin. I mean, it's faster to move your head than your body, and also the chin is a very small area to hit. Right?

    • @ImAlphaBro
      @ImAlphaBro 9 років тому

      +ThatGuy right he did say "or the solarplexus" on one of the techniques anyway I'm just assuming he wants to do the most damaging kicks for instance if I front kick you in the solarplexus if its not super solid it'll just knock you back but if you kick to the groin or the chin thats gonna hurt a lot more. Idk
