- Here, Kirk McCune discusses the three ranges of combat in the Filipino martial art Bahala Na and shows a partner drill you can do to practice.
Bahala Na Martial Arts, or Bahala Na Martial Arts Association and Giron Arnis Escrima, is a Filipino/American martial art of self-defense created by Grand Master Emeritus Leo M. Giron, a WWII hero and a skilled "bladed warrior." This system encompasses 20 styles, focusing on edged weapon combatives, and offers insights into Filipino/American culture and history. Training in Giron Arnis Escrima/Bahala Na Martial Arts provides self-defense skills, physical and mental conditioning, and a connection to the modern warrior culture, guided by the principles of Wisdom, Strength, and Beauty.

Dude literally looks like Master Roshi, all the more fun to learn some long blade skills from 👌
😂
he just need to rock those sunglasses and be crabby to his students all the time
Put shades on him, and he is Master Roshi from Dragonball Z
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
True.
I wonder if this guy trained any HEMA or Wing Chun. It looks so much like German dussack or butterfly swords.
Of course, the fact that it looks so much like other arts is probably proof of it's effectiveness.
Hello from algeria and OSS
❤ street fight martial man 💪 using escricama practical form.
It would be good to see these practioners demo with a little bit of added pressure because that changes the whole thing ie someone really good at the moves and techniques quickly crumbles when they have someone applying some pressure like in a real life situation.
BTW, watch out for Oprah in the background. She may be eyeing up your land, too.
You have whole corporations eyeing your land. Oprah is the least of your worries.

I really like Kirk's sword.
I wonder what it's called.
The sword Master Kirk is using is called the Kalishaw. GM Leo Giron used this bolo during his time as a commando/radio operator in the Philippines during WW2 as well as the Talonason sword. Here's a short clip with more information: ua-cam.com/video/spAM22_vBUs/v-deo.htmlsi=uua7wAsGllehBHDE
Not a sword that's a dagger
Why do people put these fancy names next to this FMA??....it's just Balintawak Arnis. That's it. Originated in Cebu
