- One of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies. And I don't mean Elvis movies but favorite movies of all time. Probably his best movie delivers great insight into 1950ies music and entertainment business. Also, you can see Elvis "record" in the studio with Scotty and Bill. This alone is almost worth watching it. It's also full of great quotes. Seems this one is about to become a real classic. Selected to The National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 2004.

He would've been even greater had he been given the chance to star in more dramatic roles such as this.
This actually wasn’t too bad compared to the shit he was handed in the 60s
WOW!!! ELVIS IS A BADASS, I LOVE IT!!
Right
Back then you got away with smacking somebody who screwed you over
@@RaySchwarz. 😂lol
Wish he would've done that to his "so-called manager"
Classic movie. RIP Judy Tyler and Elvis. Both gone too early.
Elvis was ahead of his time, he made phenomenal music and was amazing at acting. Wish they put him in more serious roles and he would’ve been more famous.
Elvis is so adorable!
I love Elvis, just busting into the room smacking a crook up!
That guy deserved it. He was such a jerk.
I give Elvis a lot of credit for slapping the shit out of him.
Elvis forever and ever THE king 👑😍❤️💜💞💔👄🔥
What a scene. Simple but heavy--one that many songwriters and performers can relate
to, in varied ways.
I like Elvis as an actor and he's a singer. :)
Elvis wanted to be an actor just as much as an entertainer, but his manager Col. Tom Parker kept preventing him from doing such thing.
No I thought elvis was a butcher 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just melt
Elvis was good at playing a tough moody rebel this kid Galahad king creole wild in the country loving you and charro all showed Elvis acting potential and abilities
Damn he's hot!
What an great seen slapping that 🐍❤👑💯🙏🎸🎤👍👌👏
In this movie He acted great.
Mabey He was just Himself.
I love it, good quality too!!
Черно - белое кино придает особое очарование Элвису...
Now that's an original man! Wassup!
Elvis and Judy are wonderful together.
My favorite scene from the movie!😂

My sentiments, Elvis on your fantastic set of words as of 1:14.
Please stay inside during this quarentine as much as possible. I hate for anybody to die due to it. ©®

Elvis was good at playing a rebel or a badass wild in the country King Creole Scheels is pretty well also Jailhouse Rock was the best Rebel movie of the 50s just as good as the wild one and Rebel Without a Cause if not better Brando James Dean sorry guys Elvis played Rebel the best Jailhouse Rock and wild in the country showed Elvis Rebellion side the best he was the best at playing it those type of roles Moody cool and tough
This actually looks.a.really.good.film x
I like the fact that he only slapped the guy - he had just gotten out of prison for manslaughter, so he's at least holding back killing the guy.
Quiero que pase toda la película de Elvis Presley Jai jaluche rokarol
i would've did worse if somebody stole my records
Widescreen, 2.35 aspect ratio were used rarely those days.
Don't call me sonny me you louse crawl under you rock you snake 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I agree. Obviously, he had every reason to be mad, and that guy was a low-life, and I absolutely lose it when he slaps him the way he does, and the creep's facial expression is priceless! Twenty-one seconds of pure, violent hilarity!
When his granddaughter gets divorced...assuming Elvis were alive...that's what he'd do to Ben Smith-Petersen
if anybody looks at Elvis's early film career 7 out of his first 10 movies we're tough kid films and he was brilliant in all of them from Love me tender to kid Galahad takea way g i blues blue Hawaii and follow that dream you have 7 solid dramas and underrated performances much better than James dean Elvis was much better at being bewildered angry tough Moody sullen then James Dean very exciting and intriguing when Elvis got to be angry tough and Moody in a dramatic fashion talent and charisma brought that out so wonderful almost inviting only two other actors at the time who had the ability to do that just as good as Elvis is Paul Newman and Marlon Brando in they're tough kid films Elvis did it naturally he was fantastic and all his early movies what he would have done with the right opportunity and management the sky is the limit Elvis was a great natural actorElvis was at his best 50s and early 60s
Certainly one of the hottest co-stars Elvis ever had. Much sexier than Ann-Margret IMO.
Judy Tyler was (in my opinion), probably one of the most beautiful ladies to ever walk this earth. If she hadn't passed she would've truly made it huge. You're right, much prettier than Ann-Margret
He is doing his James dean impression
The image was perfect here. If only he continued to make films like this instead of the likes of Clambake and Paradise hawaiian style . wasted talent

I agree
I which it Was colonel Parker instead 😡
Who was never a Colonel, never a Tom, and never a Parker...You can tell I've seen the Elvis movie a few times (about 21 or so, 14 times at the theater). Austin was amazing as Elvis. My mom didn't care for the editing style, but as a long-time Elvis fan, she thought Austin was phenomenal.
everybody gives Marlon Brando and James Dean credit for being good number 1 rebels in film I kind of disagree Paul Newman somebody up there likes The Hustler from the terrace Elvis Presley King Creole wild in the country jailhouse Rock just as good East of Eden the wild one rebel without a cause on the waterfront I always thought young Paul Newman and young Elvis played rebel better than both of those guys this is a great seen Elvis was good at being a tough tough guy outsider Rebel Elvis made a handful of movies in that tradition tough kid kid Galahad flaming star loving you Elvis was an underrated actor could have done so much more with the right management early Elvis in a class of his own ✋😀
Sometimes you just need to beatch slap people 😊
Captain Toledano just got slapped by Elvis.
Funny scene but Elvis did it better naughty Mickey for copyrighting it this is the best Elvis movie and movie of all time Judy Tyler was great with Elvis
Jailhouse Rock kid Galahad great double feature it was great in his early movies very underrated actor
1:50 when a weasel meets a man
Hi
1:38
I was honestly expecting him to kill him and get thrown back in prison
This is a great movie. I always wondered why Jailhouse Rock and King Creole are not as well known or respected as A Hard Day's Night or Help. With the exception of the music, those movies are lame and corny compared to this.
In real life, Everett would have been back in prison.
Just a greasy convict in this show wasn't he? I can see it all over him. I remember how he betrayed his convict buddy and got ugly with his girl. Greasy.
just a movie.
Do you think I am all upset about it? I am not. Just was a Presley fan and knew the criticism of his roles and acting ability. I was just a kid. Never saw this one in the theater. He was truly the King of Rock and Roll back then, before the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Long before Woodstock. That's one prism to see those movies through. He is not so impressive to one now as he was then, the most impressive male sex symbol in perhaps the world.
Oh.
+Eddie Bryan If he conveyed that to you, then he accomplished his job, didn't he?
Betrayed his convict buddy? How about his convict buddy betraying him first by leading him to believe he was less than he was after that jailhouse television show by hiding the fan mail?
