thanks for the update, am glad to hear you really liked it and cant wait for the 45 review!! when. you do could you possibly show how you pack it out also as it helps to imagine if it would fit what we need. also i had to laugh at all the bags (its an addiction, i know lol)
Cotopaxi, TNF and Marmot have bags in similar (boxy) format. It would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison I have the very first Patagonia 32l black hole backpack which has zippers on top and the whole of one side so that half of the bag opens -- has a laptop compartment and an interior pocket for water bottle.
Would love to see your review on backpacks such as the knack pack series 2, osprey 26+6, and how you would compare it to this patagonia mlc with weather durability, edc usage and as a travel bag.
Thanks a lot for the update! There are not many reviews of this backpack on youtube. Do you think it can also work as a hiking bag for short 1 to 2 days trips?
@scottlin2287 Could it? Sure, but I wouldn’t use it for that. I think you’d be happier with an actual load bearing pack that has better shoulder straps, a better hip belt, and airflow on the back panel. That kind of pack would make your hikes far more comfortable and enjoyable! Hope this helps
Man, so torn on this bag vs the Cotopaxi allapa 35L/42L. They are about the same price and style. Leaning towards the cotopaxi now because of the water concern now.
It would depend on what your needs are, but something in the 30-40L range, weather resistant, tech compartment, and good internal organization would be key features I’d look for
@Marcus-ri1zt Sure thing! I’ve been interested in the North Face Base Camp Voyager 32 so I can compare the Patagonia MLC 30 to that one, as well as the Voyager 42 vs the MLC 45
The Mini MLC makes very little sense to me. It is just not as good to carry as a backpack as many many many other 30l backpacks on the market and then it is not as useful for air travel as its bigger brother. If you need a bag for carry on just get the bigger one.
Great vid and thanks for the gaw! I was trying to find this bag in that exact color
Thanks!!
The algorithm brought me back to the 1 month review!

Why go that big, the 28L is more than enough. The TPU coating is concerning though
What did you go with?
@fatboyd9319 Cotopaxi 42L because I wanted the duffel bag strap too. I really like it.
It's the same bag as the 2022 mlc 26l mini. They simply renamed it to reflect the actual size.
Cant wait for the giveaway (if theres one) 🙏
Can't find this bag anywhere would love a giveaway
i wanna get the 45L version but afraid will look big on me.
@dsmileyyy When I do the overview of the 45L, I’ll be sure to do a size and fit comparison to the 30L. Hopefully that will help you a bit!
