I love that even though this mod is aimed towards players with a higher skill level, they still slowed down attacks like the Noble’s frame 1 belly push, as if even they’re like “come on.”
It’s one of the fastest attacks in the game, yes, but not ”frame 1”. The windup is about 400-430ms.

the main focus in this game is challenge but the game is way far from this promise
it fells like they literally rejected this
there's no mods that make the game easier
not when the base design isn't changed and still the same with a forgiving hitbox that literally sliced you to half
the modders themselves that you are talking about have made the same promises that devs didn't made about difficulty and challenge
yet they did the sae and also rejected it
no fun in these games without challenge since it is what those games rally on
no challenge = no fun
making "what do they want" won't make the game better
not with this manner of developing

I like that the only map they really seemed confident to edit the geometry on was Farum Azula, since everything’s a bunch of floating ruins anyway.
Oh no, there's some other spots with some big map changes. In particular, multiple dungeons and Heroes Graves have been re-themed for the loot you get at the end.
Lake of rot and deeproot depths got a lot of changes
@@rizuki9983 even caelid and limgrave have changes in certain areas, off the top of my head the 1st city if you head to caelid from limgrave and the area near the arena has been re themed to briar village.

Great idea putting the whetstone in the starting area. I had to have watched 3 or more playthroughs from people that were hours and hours into their run and couldn't upgrade because they never bothered to search the basement.
isn't the game literally tells you at the FIRST camp with a message on the ground? even if you are playing offline, the message is there. the message basically saying, check the basement too you dummy, but with fancy words

The only thing you can't do is change ashes of war without one, it's not a huge deal. I skip it nearly every run now unless I'm doing like a Steel Balls run (is that a Jojo's Reference?)

This mod gave me real reasons to go to places I havent gone to in hundreds of hours. Definitely an amazing groundwork and cant imagine what itll look like in a year or two.

At high RLs Nihil is absolutely broken. Its AOE is the entire area you’re in and also through walls, and the posture damage is insane. Also if you pair it with the new talisman that regenerates HP/ FP on kill you can basically spam it indefinitely in crowded areas.
I mean, the mod is in alpha
I love how natural Dist sounds on stream while sounding like a student doing a presentation when he's reading from a script lol
Some SFX need to be toned down, but if that Gideon fight is any indication, Convergence is going to be a household name once again. I especially liked how that shield was used. FromSoftware is a bit too nice with enemies never blocking and that instance works for the insane spell-fest that is this mod. Speaking of which, surprised we didn't get more 1.0 Malenia, she'd fit nicely here.
There is a youtube channel for convergence and the guy behind it is the head of the project. He mentioned that a lot of these are placeholders or for testing so expect some tweaks in later versions. Can recommend the channel if you like the mod.

Seems like they need to work on balancing a good deal. Some of those gigantic slow ass spells do equal damage to two shots of the equivalent of swift glint stone.

I don't know. Balancing could realistically never happen. DS3 Convergence is mega unbalanced. That being said, it's fun regardless if you've already completed the vanilla game.

wow this is insane, a new game inside a game. I am so hyped.
Only thing most of the spells and skills have as an issue is I cast blindness, not to say it's not good to look at or damaging, it's just headache inducting after a while.
And I love the dragon ire spell, drop that down and it's explosion tends to clear a dungeon for you.
Honestly the only thing I hate about this mod is that they shat on the dragon communion incantations by making it so some of them scale with a differently from each other. They removed dragon claw from the game and replaced it with the deicide incantation and I'm pretty sure the Dragon Communion seal was removed. I'm not sure why they done them so dirty :(

Seems like they are planning to place dragon claw somewhere else or since it's a decently strong spell it will become a boss reward alongside dragon communion seal, the scaling may be preparation for a long list of dragon spells to be added to the game that will have to force different scaling so dragon spells don't become a jack of all trades deal, but I have no clue

News spells are cool and op, but it makes it hard to discern what is happening in combat.

always feel that these mods have really cool ideas for fights and area designs, the technical capability of adding good QoL and interesting new mechanics...
And absolutely zero sense of any pacing. And the mod hugely suffers for it.

tried ds3 convergance mod but it needed rolled back to a previous version of ds3
I reckon when you finish the game and depending on what ending you choose it then effects new game plus.
So frenzy ending ng+ would have more frenzied enemies and progressive ng+'s would then add more and more frenzy to the land.
And dungeater ending could have defiled seedbed cursed red phantoms or something like that
And then different worlds for all the other endings too
Prob hard as fuck to do but that's the effort that should have been put into new game plus for some video game evolution rather than fromsofts same old same old NG+ - NG+7 format, it needs something more something fresh and new before it gets stale

The only mod that could beat the Cinders mod is the Convergence mod itself. I would say Convergence adds in more builds and interesting new bosses so I am going to have to give this one a hard try.

Thinking on it, with how prevalent it is in fantasy (especially sword n board genre) there's no possessed sword familiar/set of spells. Make it like a spirit ash of a mimic tear but make everything but the weapon invisible or make a WA that has the visual effects+hitbox just appear like 5 seconds late so it's like a prediction based skillshot.
What if you could mix poison with your blood grease
this is when a modder makes too many effects :D However i would like the separate mod for just only spells, compatibel with other mods, when some effects, both visual and area of effects are reduced
