Sometimes you just cant wrap your head around how much money some people have. To have houses like this just falling apart and demolished is extremely provocative when so many people have nothing.
Sadly, this happens fairly often. Technically, they didn’t abandon them, they were sold and the buyer wanted the land for an investment. The problem is in some places huge and historically significant mansions have been torn down. It’s a huge waste but capitalism doesn’t have feelings. Stay safe and healthy.
Big red flag is that they were flooded on the bottom floors. Hopefully they will build homes that won’t adopt the basement level! It will probably be offered to those that don’t want to be amongst others being that the area is a small street with little traffic!
It's a shame these beautiful homes get destroyed. I'm old and climb a lot of stairs but the home is still beautiful. I'm glad you are feeling better. Take care of yourself.
... imagine having so much money to start building something like this.... then change your mind halfway through just to start over some where else.....
Just FYI the lights stored up in the ceiling are called 'recessed lighting'. They are definitely the best look for non-lamp lighting. Just for future reference.
It's a shame the developer didn't take the cupboards, cabinets, stair railings, woodwork, etc., out an re-use them in the townhouses or else give them Habitat for Humanity. They're good quality, great condition and it's such a shame to waste them.
Hopefully all the cabinetry, doors, fixtures and bathroom tubs/sinks/toilets were saved for habitat homes. What a wonderful thing it would be to donate those things for less fortunate that have homes built for them.
That 3rd house was my favorite too. That staircase was amazing. The master bath and closet were also amazing. I wish they would donate the cabinets and counter tops, someone less fortunate could maybe use them. Great video my friend.
Thanks for the video before the homes are demolished. So sad because the homes could so easily be updated just slightly and a few repairs and be just fine. Sometimes I hate to see developers buy properties and put up cookie cutter properties. So glad you are feeling better and back to making content for us. I love watching your great explorations at places I may never get to see on my own. Be sure to take care of yourself, take time for your own self care and safe travels. I loved the 2nd and 3rd. I loved some of the features in the 3rd more, but the 2nd seemed more homey and cozy. ❤❤❤
Wonderful houses and great video. My favorite was the 3rd house, so sad that all are demolished. Thanks for taking us to such fantastic places again. Greetings from Germany.
So much beauty left behind. I literally teared up when you stated the homeowners left to upgrade. Seems a little greedy, borderline selfish. How much of that can be re-purposed.
The owners sold the houses and property to a developer. He's tearing them down to build apartments. I guess if you have money like that to upgrade, you can pretty much do whatever you desire. Since it's going to be torn down, should strip it out for whatever can be reused, repurposed and recycled.
Well if someone else bought it and they sold it to developers - the original owner can’t control what ultimately happens to their property. So for that reason you sell to the highest offer. (A realtor told me that when I was concerned that I didn’t want to sell our house to a developer.)
My favorite is the 3rd house you showed. I would love to have a master bedroom/bathroom like that. The kitchen was gorgeous! Thank you for taking us along.
AS ALWAYS, GLAD TO SEE YOU, LOVED THE VIDEO. YOU ROCK, BIG BANKZ. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, STAY SAFE AND WELL. SENDING MUCH LOVE FROM SOUTH CAROLINA ❤️❤️❤️.
Such beautiful homes. So sa that they tore them down. Dream homes. ❤ Im tall for a woman, so i always dream of big bath tubs. 😊 Awesome video BB. Stay safe.
When you showed the downstairs area it looked like a basement that had been flooded at one time. That would have caused the black mold that could be seen on the mattress and on the lower parts of the walls. If it is, that may be the real reason that the owners sold and moved out. All so why it is being torn down. Black mold is hard to totally eradicate.
So sad they they tore this down…but great family home community I love that idea!! My favorite house was the last one, they all looked a like but loved the kitchen
i agree with you salvage what can be saved donate to people or organizations i so hate to see waste my home is old and most of what i have now was given to me i believe in repurposing items that others discard
I suffer from major depressive disorder social and generalized anxiety and agoraphobia bro I'm with ya...also last year on ny birthday a guy at my rooming house burned it down twice in one weekend and been at a homeless shelter for a year 2 months...I go out exploring old places...ghost hunts...and bike rides
I tried to post,so here goes again😂I would love to have a kitchen like these...I can dream ❤ Love you BB and its so good to have you back 💕 I love house #3
Usually what alot of companies do is tear bathroom and kitchens down and if they’re intact and good condition they will repurpose them for a flip or future sell, or do a construction resell. Depending on what they get, they can use the whole cabinetry again or parts of it as a set. Millionaire houses like this always get top of the line brands so they will probably sell for a nice price for the cabinets and countertops. Appliances also bring in really good money. Though many people just get top brands for names or cheaper ones to cut money costs. It looks like their trying to just tear down anything with glass since it can be hard for doors and showers without cracking them during certain types of demos.
I saw these houses down by someone else and they got to them before all the destruction. They showed the basement before they got flooded. The basement were awesome. I'm sorry you found these houses after so much destruction.
So, so happy to see you rockin' it!!!! Thank you for sharing this really cool find! It just continues to prove we are just such gluttonous apes aren't we??! So wasteful with material things etc....At any rate....super job!! Keep on keeping on!! ❤❤
So much of this could've been donated to The Restore, or church charities. When I was young, I 'put the line out' to coworkers (I was in carpentry) and when a demolition was going to happen, I and others would look the place over and assess what it would take in resources to get the stuff we liked. All too complicated to discuss here, but to give you an idea, a friend and I have hardwood floors that came from a bowling alley!
Almost most of our first built home was all from repurposed hardwood,ECT from my great now deceased father in law who would do exactly what you do .The amount of money we saved in reusing such great and in good condition items Who would have known you could reuse hardwood flooring, windows, kitchen cabinets ...ECT .My fnl once got an entire gym of lockers that he put in his garage .Those were so awesome and antique looking . Probably were there in that gym before I was even born (1975) .So glad to read about ppl like you that are doing the same to keep all this great stuff out of the landfill and save money at the same time .😊😊😊😊😊It might have helped that my husband who passed from lung cancer and my deceased fnl both owned their own wood working shop .That's what built six entire homes for both of my SNL's ,my mnl n fnl ,and me n my husband and four children. We helped built every one of these homes ourselves .
2:25 pm I've Always watched every video From the beginning. GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS BIG BANKS❤❤❤ KEEP THEM COMING. LOVE THEM❤❤. Great to see you my dear friend BIG BANKZ.
It's nice to see you out and about. Love the Metallica shirt 🤣 Continued prayers for you and your adventures. Hope you're doing well and enjoying your travels.
I just watched your video on the three mansions that they're going to tear down and what it was amazed about was that none of them had pools and I know it probably was impossible but I would have loved to hear about the other families that lived in the last two Mansions they were beautiful and thank you so much I enjoy this channel a lot thanks
I like the master bedroom bath, wall in closets and kitchen cabinet pulls in 1st house the best. In the 2nd house, the outside facade, garage in rear, interior layout, and the master bedroom.` 3rd house, the staircase, and foyer. But if I had to one it would have to be the second house. If above was in one home it would have been absolutely beautiful. It's a shame all the basements were flooded as would have liked to have seen how it was set up. Wonder where the families went and what they built. Growing up my bedroom was shared with 2 brother 10 and 12 years younger. I would have loved to had a bedroom half the size of the smallest in these homes for myself. Shamefull to be so rich. Great video, thank you for posting.
The house is beautiful, but as much as the couple was happy in this place, one day the kids grow up and move out, and then the house is very big and empty, and the owners prefer to sell and move to a smaller property that is more easy maintenance.
Just for your information, they don’t put dishwashers in cabinetry right next to that cabinet in that big empty space, that’s where the dishwasher windy right next to the sink
Big bankz an Ethan Minnie my favorite channels. I don't understand the vandal's breaking the shower doors with the dark flooring and dark walls .I would have painted the walls a lighter color to brighten the room up and it would make the room look more spacious , I cook so yes kitchen s spacious counter space
What I find odd is that even abandoned houses don’t usually flood for many years. I was wondering if the flooding was what caused the family to move out. But the one objective for that is why would a developer buy the land…. Unless it was sold for a fraction of what the family paid.
If people were going to leave simply to “upgrade,” why not donate? A veteran? A homeless family? A foster home? A domestic violence shelter? So sad and wasteful.
3rd house was my favorite. Any idea why all of the basements of all 3 homes were flooded? Thank you for sharing with all of us. The Miller's Portland, Oregon
The upkeep and cost is mind boggling to me. Why have such a huge house? More house than you really need? All that money spent and wasted on what? To impress the Joneses?
House #1: I like that the parents let the daughter personalize her closet. I am sure that closet was also for barbies, stuffed animals etc - not just shoes & clothes.
Electrical was off so their sump pumps did not come on automatically when flooding began. Flooding happens in the north when a large amount of snow melts quickly. (Sudden drop in temperature.)
Hi BigBang! I can't believe that the three mansions in Toronto will be, or rather have already been, demolished as I write this. What a waste! Anyway you know in The second mansion where the 4 door garage is? Red Nike snick?Well, I wanted to answer your question! There were big holes in the ceiling with the wire hanging down? Holes bigger than the recessed lighting fixtures. Well, they're HIGH SPEAKERS! I had them in my house. All over the house! 👌🏼😉very practical! Xx
Sometimes you just cant wrap your head around how much money some people have. To have houses like this just falling apart and demolished is extremely provocative when so many people have nothing.
Hello Anna how are you doing today
Should’ve studied and worked harder.
Question is do they have the money if the house is abandoned?
i know it especially sucks when you had it good and someone took it from you.
As an old person, some of these homes would be nice as communal living for people on fixed incomes.
I'd move there wonder what state this is?
I Agree. There's Too much Greed in the world these Days 😔
@@rvingkeepitrolling8797 this is in Canada
@@SharonJones-ql8oy thanks it's beautiful love Canada.
I would love to live there 😊

I would hope they let salvage companies come in to get doors, cabinets or anything else they can salvage.
Such a shame all these beautiful Mansions are gone for ever. I can't understand it. Thanks for another awesome video! Greetings from Germany.
It's a shame these beautiful homes get destroyed. I'm old and climb a lot of stairs but the home is still beautiful. I'm glad you are feeling better. Take care of yourself.
Hello Connie how are you doing today
I can see so many things in the homes that can be salvaged and used, it is hard for me to see so much waste.
... imagine having so much money to start building something like this.... then change your mind halfway through just to start over some where else.....
Just FYI the lights stored up in the ceiling are called 'recessed lighting'. They are definitely the best look for non-lamp lighting. Just for future reference.

I love all the natural light in that place. It must have been so beautiful when it was still lived in.
Hello Christina how are you doing today
Hopefully all the cabinetry, doors, fixtures and bathroom tubs/sinks/toilets were saved for habitat homes. What a wonderful thing it would be to donate those things for less fortunate that have homes built for them.

A very beautiful home, I agree it could be fixed for a community home for three elderly. With a nurse a d individual rooms it would be wonderful!
Hello Beverly how are you doing today

Agreed! Makes me sad too

Wow, it's a shame to see it all gone soon. As I like the last one as well .thanks for sharing. Take care
Thank you for The Scripture, have a Blessed Day Carter😊
Thanks for the video's. I didn't hear why the lower portion of these mansions were flooded.
The first house with the fireplace in the wall the wood veneer is flame maghony very expensive.
that's great, friends, there are many historical houses that contain mystery, greetings, enthusiasm from exploring the mysteries of Indonesia
AS ALWAYS, GLAD TO SEE YOU, LOVED THE VIDEO.
YOU ROCK, BIG BANKZ.

SENDING MUCH LOVE FROM SOUTH CAROLINA ❤️❤️❤️.
I hope the developer will recycle some of the fixtures, windows etc. Would be a nice spot for some much needed rental housing in Toronto.
I really enjoy all of your videos. I think my favorite house is also the last one. Love from the Netherlands 😊

I saw these houses down by someone else and they got to them before all the destruction. They showed the basement before they got flooded. The basement were awesome. I'm sorry you found these houses after so much destruction.
Wonder what flooded the basement though. Does toronto flood easily?
I don't understand why they don't let somebody come in and strip as much out as they can to be used somewhere else. Even to donate!

These houses are gorgeous crazy theyre being destroyed and torn down. Wow i would love to live in all 3 of them.

Those houses still exists. Never get demolished.
I love all your videos, your videos bring sunshine to my life
Thank you for putting in the Bible verse. What an awesome thing to do! Thanks for another great video!
Am always amazed at these beautiful homes . I will never understand ? But thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤
I liked the crystal lights in the bathroom in the first house.
1st place is nice, outside of the basement being flooded. Too big even for myself and 5 fur kids, lol. It's nice.
BB, love watching your videos! Love your style and voice!
Take care of yourself and God bless you on your travels.
This video is going to be 🔥🔥🔥
Never buy a house that has stairs facing the front door. It’s bad luck. Means your money will run out the door.
I like the master bedroom bath, wall in closets and kitchen cabinet pulls in 1st house the best. Loved all the houses but the third definitely my favorite
They all are beautiful. I love the 2nd one
Fairly neat and clean abandoned houses
Love all your videos I'm watching from New Zealand 🇳🇿 which we don't have abandoned mansions like some other parts of the world. GB❤️🩹🙏
Love all you are showing 👍

This is a symptom of a real estate market out of control, after those townhoms are built only less then half will be ever occupied.
Finally home for once to watch!

So sad even the window covering are nice. I think of people who have nothing it makes me sad.
Ok you are doing much better with your camera on this one! Holding it steady so I don't have to throw up!!!❤
I really super like how this man starts with Scripture . ❤
Every thing is disposable now, even expensive homes
Do you think the flooding in the basements was a problem and that’s why they are tearing the homes down?
3rd house was my favorite. Any idea why all of the basements of all 3 homes were flooded? Thank you for sharing with all of us.

So love your videos.....3rd house was my favorite
I agree with the person who said some people with fixed income could move in if the fixed it back up. Probably wouldn't be that much money to do it.
Its so sad that people are literally living in the streets and in squalor and folks can leave mansions to rot! 😢
The upkeep and cost is mind boggling to me. Why have such a huge house? More house than you really need? All that money spent and wasted on what? To impress the Joneses?

I loved the double shower.
I wish someone could have saved the beautiful houses. I hate that they are getting torn down. The houses could have been used for other things.
