I looooove this grand beautiful old gurl! Demolishing this house is criminal! I don’t understand why some people want to destroy these old historic home’s! Awesome video as always Kappy! 👍👍❤️🤘😢😡
Kappy, l want to take this opportunity to thank you, to thank you for taking us with you to view old homes that we would never have been able to see otherwise. Your love of and respect for the homes and their history, comes shining through in your commentary. Your appreciation for the properties and surrounding land is brought out in your photography which you have a true skill for. I want you to know that your tours of historical homes has brought me hours and hours of pleasure over the years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, sincerely, a devoted subscriber.
@@wendycrawford1792 Sheesh got a lil tear in my eye haha that’s incredibly kind of you to say and I’m so glad you have enjoyed and stuck around exploring with me for so long! From the bottom of my heart I thank you! :)
Melancholy. That's what I feel -- knowing this old beauty will be destroyed. Oh how grand this gem must've been in its glory days Love the wallpaper, the staircases, just small details now. Kappy, we thank you so much for sharing these treasures of the past ! They can never be replaced ! But then again, seems so few making decisions VALUE their historical signficance or fine craftsmanship or the unique charm of these old homes. Someone once DID ...and the people here viewing these houses also appreciate their worth. It's just sad, losing these old houses to time and another mindset. Maybe some day the pendulum will swing back to appreciation of preserving what has come before. But sadly, probably not.
That beautiful old furniture! Loved that little rocking chair. So sad. People these days don't appreciate antiques (except you Kappy) New furniture doesn't last like the good ol stuff!
A house built in 1855 n in that condition! Someone should get it on the national registry. It should be illegal to tear down such a beautiful home. There aren't many left
I like what you said, Kappy, look what's coming, endless rows of houses. This place is huge, like a maze! And not in very bad condition. Could maybe be converted into apartments to generate cash flow, so at least the structure can be saved. Thanks for this one, Kappy!
This was such an amazing house, enormous, imagine how many lived here plus all the servants in it's day. Any modernisation kept to a minimum and all the original features well maintained, would have liked to have seen the high ceilings it would have had. It would be wicked to pull it down. Very small amount of decay soon spreads. Good that you managed to film it in it's present perfect condition. Preserved❤
It has electric baseboard heaters!!!! Someone lived here till recently. I wish you could tell me where in PA you are because that's where I live. It's a beautiful house on the inside.
This house is beyond awesome! So many details and still nice furniture inside! All those stairs! Amazing. My absolute favorite is still Dunnington mansion but this is in second place. I hope & pray it is saved.
That frontage is beautiful I love the look of it why don't they save it if it's a historic house if it's on the historic registry then they can't demolish it..it has to go through taking it off of it before they crash it so I doubt they will go through all that there goin leave it there hopefully...
Kappy, your written descriptions of these beautiful homes, could have been written by the best of novelists. After reading it, all you have to do, is close your eyes, and your there! Thanks!
6:55 (I can only imagine a coffee shop / antique store.) Smudge Pot - Fire Starter An old-fashioned device used to easily start a fire in a fireplace, typically a small, often brass container with a handle, sometimes called a "smudge pot," where a piece of flammable material like a stone or pumice would be soaked in fuel oil and then placed under kindling to ignite the fire
Yea! Subtitles are back, Thanks Kappy! 4:40 Nice big room. I like the kitchen and the colors. Lots of staircases. Nice house, hope it doesn't get torn down.
If it's on the National Registry it should be left alone ....just imagine her all shined up and all those Cookie Cutter Houses around her ...she would be the Prettiest Girl at the Ball for sure !! She would put all them to shame and she should be saved. With some work she would shine so bright again ...hopefully her fate is a good one. Thank you Kappy for documenting her for all to enjoy . Great video as always !! 👍👍
Absolutely beautiful! It could be saved, and be the show stopper of the neighborhood! I would get rid of the ugly stair carpet, and that little room at the top of the middle floor I would make a bathroom out of. But try to keep it as original as possible! Love this!
I wonder when this house was last updated. All of that beautiful woodwork has been painted white,, and the paint job does not look all that old - certainly not in original condition. From the outside appearance of the house, I didn't expect it to be in such good condition inside.
Those spiral staircases are awesome! Like hidden passage ways. Such a neat house with all those spaces to put things. It’s sad to see it not being used and likely demolished soon.
wolwww kappy i loved this house u did it again u always find the grand old houses beautiful architecture to i pray they dont tear this down a bed and breakfast is needed here take care my gratefully deadicated friend peace love and rock and roll to soothe my soul
This was a very interesting home …..built in 1855 there were lots and lots of interesting features about the house including the little door close to one of the main fireplaces that couldn’t be opened….curious to what that would have been and what looked to have been an original mantel in another fireplace and a nail or whatever it was that could be removed out of the mantle then put back in the wooden mantle…. My most favorite were the little staircases leading up to the attic….very sharp turns to go up….back then I can imagine people were so tiny….tiny feet as well as those stairs weren’t very large…and nowadays we would have to side step just to get up those stairs…. Such a shame to see this one go……thank you kappy for an amazing time ❤
I love your videos. I like to catch them right after you put them on here & watch the number of likes (I was 470 something to like your video & it's now up to 530 likes). Way to go!
Looks like someone painted and put new carpet upstairs. It really isn’t in that bad shape. I thought places in the historic register couldn’t be torn down. Anyone know?
Love this house! Think of the stories she could tell! I am amazed at the flooring, but must have installed new floors. So many thing I love about this house. It’s a shame that she will be torn down for new development of “cookie cutter” houses that do not have her charm! 😭
Wow, this is a GREAT old house. There is no good reason to tear it down. It would make quite a center piece for a new neighborhood. Right up front and in the middle. It would give real character to a new development. I hope someone has the imagination to see that. But sadly developers don't have any, except on how much $$ they can make. Then move on. "Rows of houses that are all the same. And no one seems to care..."
The people who lived there had some money and kept the house fixed up nicely until they sold the place and land. I always wonder why they leave so much behind like they had a few hours to get out of the place...
Beautiful woodwork, but again, more of that awful white paint! Unfortunately, that’s one of the first signs that people have lost appreciation for the character of these beautiful architectural homes. Also, I heard geese in the background, they will probably disappear with the destruction of this home and area. Such a waste!
I was gaining optimism about this house's future until you reached the attic. I know of two 19th century houses, whose owners sold the land near the house, but restored the original houses. They are masterpieces compared to the plasti-board pieces of crap around them. Sorry, but it's true.
Gorgeous old home with so much character. It should be saved

I agree
It truly is criminal! Money is the root of all evil. Greedy developers.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT ,,IT WOULD BE A CRIME TO TAKE HISTORY AWAY.. SO MUCH STYLE ,, NOT LIKE THE HOUSES TODAY..
Glad to see that the house was not vandalized. LOVE the built in features. It is much, much bigger than it looked on the outside. What a treasure!

What a beautiful home. Still with so much potential.
Whatever they build in its place won’t be standing as long as this one has.
Wish I had 10 million dollars and lived nearby. I'd take this beauty over any new house built today. Love it! Thanks!

@cherievivian9830. Sadly, by that time, they will all be gone.
That place is in great shape and should be saved!

You got your exercise today with all those staircases. Such a beautiful home. Hope it can be saved. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Very nice house and in good condition.
Thanks kappy
Beautiful house, not bad for 1855. They definitely don't make them like they used to.
This house if restored could be the grand jewel of that suburban neighborhood.
Wow!!! Another timeless beauty still standing. Those doorknobs are beautiful!
It has electric baseboard heaters!!!! Someone lived here till recently. I wish you could tell me where in PA you are because that's where I live. It's a beautiful house on the inside.
Wow what an amazing house! 2 sets of stairs r a little sketchy 😮. Another great find!! Tyvm 4 the vid! Plz stay safe.
This one isn’t trashed as badly as some have been. Iy would be beautiful if it were preserved
It's on the historic register and they're tearing down.....for what?? Oh....maybe a historic Dollar General....
Beauty Kappy. Lovely old house. Not often do you see a swimming pool behind an old house. Shame. Hope it gets saved or maybe moved?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This house needs ti be saved! Awesome home. Needs some TLC❤❤❤❤ 😊😊😊😊
She’s beautiful! She must have been something in her day. Sad she’s going away 😢
Let's hope this beautiful old house is saved!!! It would be a shame to tear it down!! Thank you for sharing!!
It beautiful love your channel and the place you taking us to
At 14:17-14:24 yes, that was dovetail joinery. The fewer there are the older the piece.
It could be saved without too .much work.
Beautiful house I hope they change there mind
I hope someone rescues this historical house!

I think the old stool is a pedestal base for a table. Gorgeous place. If only the lottery had paid off : (
Maybe a piano stool.
Perhaps a piano stool
Such a shame for it to be destroyed. I couldn't do the steep staircase 😮
Love all those nooks and crannies! Awesome find. Thanks so much for sharing!
My goodness what a fantastic home. When I look out 3rd floor window I see junk homes approaching this masterpiece
That looks like Roman numerals on the fireplace mantle.
Beautiful house! Will be a sad day when they tear it down, Thank you for showing us! ~Debbi~
It breaks my heart to see these Beautiful Grand Homes, So unloved and left to decay then demolished like a card board box.😥💔

If this house is on the historic register how can they justify tearing it down
This was an awsome find.so sad it'll be torn down. Thank you kappy for showing it😊❤
What a Beautiful beautiful home!! One of my favorites thus far! Safe travels Kappy 🎉

Beautiful home. Nice enough to save still.

Sad that it got in that shape. Blows my mind that someone didn't snatch that up before it got that bad 😢
Beautiful and sad. Would much rather live in this one than the ones across the street.....😮
I just don't understand why people want to erase our history and not preserve it. So many millionaires and nobody helps. So sad😢
Wishing it could be saved- very nice place
What a beauty,I hope they save it,love it 👍🇺🇸❤
What an awesome 😎💯 piece of history so sad looks like someone remodeled it and then walked away
Just think, those rosettes were hand carved. True, lost, craftsmanship. So sad!
Beautiful house!!❤

Hi👍✌️
Cappy wheres this one about up North about.....Canada...Ohio??
Wow, a stunner!
The people who lived there had some money and kept the house fixed up nicely until they sold the place and land. I always wonder why they leave so much behind like they had a few hours to get out of the place...
Wow
WOW
Did I hear a woman's voice go"hmmm"at the 13:36 mark right after you said"cool first floor bedroom"?
Do you know how long it has been abandoned?
Except for the very top floors, it doesn't look all that bad.
If this really is in PA then it isn't that close to the coast that they wouldn't have a basement.
This narrow winding staircases were for the servants.
What kinda gun was in the gun case ?
They don't make houses like that anymore.
Beautiful woodwork, but again, more of that awful white paint!
