Wow Mark & Matt!!! That's spectacular! I love it!
I don't recall you EVER commenting before!!! Thanks, Mark!
2:42 Lego ship in a bottle! I love Lego lol. Also nice to see escape room stuff again :) Hope more is on the way :)
ALL the Lego... Making more Escape Game stuff as we speak...😁
@@GratuitousSets woohoo! Also combine the two and you get Lego escape room haha! No idea how it would work but it sounds fun 😂
@@ilzg2000 Hmmmm....intriguing...
This turned out amazing!
Jonathan!!! Thanks, brother😜
Did you use plywood for the build? Also, how did you age the hinge? It looks great.
Yes, anything on the woodwork?
It's Poplar! I actually painted the patina on with acrylics. I tried using ferric chloride to do the patina but, It ate the brass right off ---turns out it was brass plated steel. I'll do a video on the patina for you!!
The case is built from poplar! Sorry we didn't film it. I'll put a woodworking video in the queue schedule for you! Stay tuned😜
Great job! :) fusion is an amazing piece of software. Wish it was still free lol
Same here! lol
Fantastic work guys! I love seeing the creations that you keep coming up with!
More to come! Thank you, you brilliant bastard!
I don't even know how I missed this video airing! Lol
LOL- We intentionally hid it from you!!😉
Awesome work gents as always
High praise, coming from you!
An awesome new device. That jump cut: chef kiss.
LOL Thanks. Best way out of a jam sometimes
Well, that looks absolutely awesome.
One very silly thing; apparently there is a red LED on the left side of the keyboard that is lit while the keyboard is on; the light bleed is visible through the gap under the hinge. I only mention it because A. You two seem the types to _care_ about that, given all the work that went into this piece already, and B. That's the sort of thing that can very very easily be fixed with the advanced technique of "slap a piece of electrical tape over the LEDs". (Actually, I give it even money that you've already noticed and fixed it. If you did, good on you!)
Seriously, awesome piece.
You're so right!! We have a piece of 3/16" ply that masks the LED- we left it out while shooting the video since we were displaying the electronics in the previous shot. GOOD EYE!!!😉🤓
Ha! Yeah, I figured there was a very good chance you had already covered (metaphorically and literally) that issue, but I thought I would mention it just in case.
I'm glad you've got my back!
Hi guys - great stuff! Love everything you do. It always gives me ideas to take off on for my escape rooms. After I screen shotted the latch photo and blew it up, I have looked for about 2 hours on Amazon for the latch you showed us and can't find it (Taifeng, latch, lock, bolt, deadbolt, etc., etc., etc...). Any chance you can share the link? I'd like to check it out to see if it would be useful in the future. Pleeeaaaasse?!
The solenoid latch or the splined key that holds the cover on?
This is the solenoid latch... www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZY66WCB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the splined key and lock.... www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N928BM1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks great!
Thanks! We're going to shoot a video on the verdigris patina soon😁
Why that green? Looks terrible.
Nice video.
The patina? They are brass parts in a salt water environment (ya' know, PIRATES) Copper, brass and bronze all develop verdigris (green) patinas over time🤓
@@GratuitousSets aaaah(rrr), got it. Makes sense.
Like the Statue of Liberty🤔
