  • My John Deere 3046R tractor snowblows my neighbors driveways during a Northeastern snow storm. Sandy and Mark go house to house shoveling mailboxes and walks very nice people. GoPro Max does a great job capturing the footage. Please check out my book, "Mind Kill, Rise of The Marauder" at Amazon and Kindle. Thank you for supporting my channel be safe.

👏👏BRAVO, reminded me of our inner-city neighborhood (Minnesota) with 4 able sons around the house, dad would make us do the sidewalks up and down the block.
Elderly ladies stopping over to say "thank you, what do we owe you?" my father would say "a hot cup of coffee."

Thanks for the video Sir. I have a 3 acre lawn and volunteer to mow the grounds at my church which is a large parcel. I presently use a Scag zero turn but as I get older, the HVAC cab seems like a great idea. The 3046r is on my list to demo. I have to say I'm really impressed. I have a large farm and some large tractors but that size seems ideal with a snowblower and a 72 inch mid mount mower. Thanks so much!

Any 8hp or larger thrower should be able to handle that. The break through is the toughest part. After that just take half bites of the snow pile. Drift busters on the sides of the auger intake should help or use a shovel to break down the drift to where the thrower can get it. Not as gentlemanly as this rig but it's certainly doable.

I did the same as you're, I did 9 driveways for over 15 years, I know, it made me feel very good inside, and I didn't want anything in return.
But it came to a halt one year when we had 15" of snow, so I got out and started to clean
my neighbors ' driveways while all of them were cleaning their front doors, well, after three
driveways, I ran out of gas, lifted the tractor hood, checked the oil, grabbed my spare can, and told them out loud that I needed gas. NO ONE MOVED OR SAID ANYTHING.
BTW, my driveway wasn't clean yet, so got in my truck to get gas, came back, put gas in, and came back from a half-done driveway to clean my driveway, when finished, I parked, and grabbed a shovel to clean my front door.
Not one came to offer gas or to clean my front door, that was the last time.

OMH that's horrible...just horrible but I believe. We have neighbors that I blow their driveway they went house to house shoveling mailboxes. Then when we had the blizzard and the plow truck left piles at the end of the driveways they shoveled everyone's driveway out. I came home from work plowing and couldn't believe my driveway was clean. Then will shine on you as you're special. Don't let anyone tarnish your good deeds...no one. God bless you and thank you for helping others.

I have a suggestion. This comes from my time in Germany. Place poles along the driveways that tell you where the concrete ends. I would take 2x4's and rip them down into 2x1.5x6' strips. Then place them in the ground along the areas that will need to be plowed. Where you have a curb place the pole against the curb. When you don't have a cur, on your driveway, place the pole about 6" to 8" away from the paved surface. This way the distance you need to stay away from the poles is constant. Since you're saying that you get 4' drifts I would place a 8' pole. Put them in the ground in late October and take them up whenever you feel you've gotten the last snow of the season. I know this is a year after you posted this video but maybe you'll look and say this is a good idea. Or maybe you've already done this. Or maybe not. ✌

When I moved into my house my noisy neighbor was trying to make a JA out of me about wait till I see the snow drifts I'll have to "shovel" when it snows. I didn't say anything. I don't know how he missed me bring my JD home. That first winter we had a duzzy of a snow storm with high winds, Opening the garage door the was a 6 ft drift piled up against the garage door and several beyond. I didn't think much of it as I got the rig fired up had the drive way cleared in about 10 mins and them proceed around the house for a doggie trail. 3 sweeps around the house pulled the tractor back in and had breakfast. Some where along the line that boastful neighbor came over and was knock at the door however I never seen nor heard him till later in the day I checked security cams. That was after dark that I check right before supper time. I walked to the front room and look down the road and that neighbor was still shoveling out his drive way. His was 3 time longer then mine...Hmmmm sometimes it not good to lead a hand. All though the first summer he would at a constant come and ask to borrow stuff. I've learn not to do that because I've always gotten stuff back broken with the promise they'd fix it...
I stemmed my willingness to not start doing those things. As it would/will lead to, "hey can I borrow the tractor" so as to tell them no as it cost to much to repair. Hopefully they'll get P'ed off enough and take the hint ...go buy one your selves...
However not to sound like an orger lady next door Husband was in the Hospital and I knew it and yeah i did her drive and the fire hydrant is on her prop and clean that out before she got home from the hospital....Different senecio all together ..

Thanks for your insight to how the viewers perceive your video, as a lot of UA-camrs don't. We like some fast-forwarding in areas that repeat the same for a while, but the music can get very annoying at time that they play. Most of the times it is one of their favorite songs and does not work for background music. Too loud, or annoying, and some with singing, so you can't understand what the UA-camr is saying. Very poorly crafted. They are actually companies that offer soft background for a subscription, and seem to do well. Good luck

It would be nice if people with garages actually used them for their intended purpose, but they don't, instead they use them to store junk, as someone who is not fortunate enough to have a garage it burns me up and why don't these people have their own snowblower in the first place, they must have money to live in what looks like a fairly affluent neighborhood they could afford one, what if this guy didn't have such a machine what would they do? I hope these people appreciate what you do for them, I understand the helping the neighbors thing but some don't even say thank you in my experience.

Can you raise the blower up and make a high pass, then come back and drop it down all the way to get the bottom foot? Nice machine, though. Before I moved to a townhouse, I used to blow out several driveways with a big 2 stage snowblower. The neighbors followed behind me to clean off the last 1/4 inch. Then by 10am we were eating fresh cinnamon rolls that one of the wife's baked. It was a fun time.

If you get that much snow from time to time, those neighbors with those long driveways without a snowblower are just taking advantage of your good will. I used to do that in my neighborhood until after one snowfall I got a call wondering if was coming out and around to clear away snow because if I wasn’t then they would have to come out and do their driveway. I then realized that there are only X number of hours in a snowblower that I use, purchased and maintained. Volunteering is one thing, so is an expectation.

I used to do the same when I had my old JD 750 (1984) with front blower. I regret every winter that I sold, even though I moved out of the countryside. However, for clean up, I actually used a box blade on the back to pick up the remnant from the blower (as I blew the snow) or pull up snow driven on or get close to garage doors where I couldn’t blow. I needed the back weight too. I’d clear several hundred feet before my mine and my neighbors drive too, just so the plow didn’t create more work for me later. Either way, you’re right, JD is the hero. I was just lucky enough to drive it…it gave me a ton of satisfaction too 😎.

It's funny how you're out clearing driveways for free in a wealthy neighborhood and hardworking people can't get the work. @@maraudermitchelli I'd charge them all. lol. They wouldn't be at my BBQ on the weekends. lol. It's great to help but many don't want to spend a dime. The young couple helped everyone with their strong/young backs.

You d best!!! I ran a 1960 Kodiak for a ski area clearing the parking lots. That thing was miserable to run all night. Yours looks fun...and warm! Be safe. Don't find any yard knick knacks or concrete gnomes with the rotary.

I hit a dead dear and a set of skis and poles.
The same machine I ran that winter ran over a guy sleeping in MT Bachelor parking lot the following winter. Snow plow hit him first in his tent. It is a convoluted story but a guy did lose his life. That machine was cold AF and windows would fog up and ice over. Be safe, my dude.

Great set up you have with this machine, I have a much smaller version of your set up , "05 Lt150 with Bercomac snowblower on front, she works quite well for what I need, and she has helped neighbors as well, you're correct, we need more nice helpful behaviors by our neighbors for each other in this World. Thanks for videos.

I was a reserve Deputy for 19 years. All my duty work was volunteer no pay at all except for the Buffalo Bills games (I think the Bills Reimburse the County). I was grateful to volunteer for the Sheriff's office it was a privilege and my training was outstanding....cost me a lot of money personally and time with my family. It was a community service my father wanted me to be involved with.

I would NEVER do that in america because if even a small twig is broken you will get sued, only if they actually sign a paper asking for help and they will answer themselves for any damadges to machine AND their property

Looks like a great setup. I clear with a bobcat 3650pto with blower and a rotary broom this season I’m at 400+ shear pins. We have a lot of blown and drifting snow. Great job taking care of your neighbours

I can't speak for anyone besides myself but I like straight through videos not time lapse , I also like to know what the equipment is you are using and the attachments . I can see your using a front mounted snowblower but as for the model of it I can't say . If it wasn't for the snowblower I wouldn't be watching.
