I’ve watched this movie so many times and still love it!
“Black Death”, Harley’s bike, became an icon and lots of people tried to recreate it, some even managed to do a fine job.
I find it weird that Mickey doesn’t seem to be very happy about the movie… the thing is, the movie now is a cult movie, either he likes it or not.
You're absolutely right. But, I'll tell ya one thing Mickey liked about the movie was Harley's bike. Mickey kept that bike lmao I read a story recently about Chuck Zito riding it around Long Island and he got pulled over. It was registered to Mickey still. The cop said it was the exact one from the movie.
Love this movie. Gets largely forgotten, but it's a Cult Classic in my book.

Same here. I've been trying and pushing people to go the IMDb page and rate it highly. I hate it that it's stuck on 6. It's a solid 7 in my book. Love the dialogues bw Don and Mickey. When ever I'm down , or miss my friends ..I put this gem on.
The first time I saw this movie was on VHS played it so much I wore it out, in 2007 I found it on a DVD for $10.00 last one so I snatched it up I've watched it over and over never get tired of watching it, IMO Harley's bike is the best looking Hollywood motorcycle even beating out the Captain America!

Two very gorgeous men in one movie. I love them both but Mickey has stolen my heart. I wish he hadn’t smoked all these years. Besides boxing, smoking wrecked his good looks but I love him still
The only thing that wrecked his looks is plastic surgery.Even with boxing and smoking,his face was fine.Unfortunately,Mickey for some reason wanted to change it.

Mickey was good looking (not as good looking as Don Johnson) until he had all the plastic surgery. He was considered for the part of Sonny Crockett in Miami Vice before Don Johnson. It wouldn't have been the same without Don Johnson
Thanks once again for these 'behind the scenes ' - so many DVD's don't have any special features bar a trailer. This film is a great way to spend an hour and a bit - just don't take it too seriously.
Absolutely love Don Johnson at the moment. I remember a film he did called The Hot Spot that was ace and worth owning.

Always wanted to see Dead Bang but alas have yet to have the pleasure - these sort of forgotten gems sometimes crop up on prime. E.g We're No Angels ( penn / de Nero version) but I've never seen it on sale on dvd or bluray.

Mickey had fallen out of love with acting and returned to boxing, he only did the movie for the money, I believe he got paid a lot to do it. He has said that he enjoyed working with Don Johnson.

Mickey Rourke makes the movie awesome. Mickey Rourke is great at making his roles memorable and ever lasting. Something about his portrayal of Harley Davidson stays with me.simple dude but more deep than comes across.

Enjoy the movie but if you want to ape Black Death please ruin an aftermarket frame rather than trash yet another FXR. Red Good etc make outstanding custom FXR-style frames that are better than the original and take later HD drivetrains so you can enjoy modern horsepower.

The script is actually a total ripoff "Butch Cassidiy and the Sundance Kid" down to the title. You compare the two movies they share a lot of identical scenes.
The screenwriter should be embarrassed he wrote this, lol. It's s horrible script. Luckily they got a great actor in Mickey to help carry the film.
