He's doing stand-up while sitting down in the chair. Perfect!
"When ur phone's dead, does it really matter if u r alive"
So funny Man 😂😂
I can't believe he's 62! He's in a terrific shape.
for real, he looks at least 20 years younger than that
David Santrosyan my father has 56 and he looks much much older than jerry.
He's happy
David Seth he's rich
+Maurício Rodrigues being happy makes you rich....
I get that observational comedy isn't everybody's cup of tea...but to find humor in the mundane does take a degree of talent...and some would argue it takes genius
The bit about the phone ... Shit got real.
Haha, yeah...
It's one of his most recent bits, he first did it at his two live shows in Isreal back in november/december. Was a bit different here, though.
No better observational comedian than Jerry
"If your kid is traumatized by a gutter ball, he's not gonna make it" LOLZ
Seinfeld is so good. That cell phone battery joke is peak observational humor. Great stuff.
phone bit too real
I love that he wants people to feel good. When I saw him in Daytona, he came back out after his set, which lasted for and hour and 20 minutes without a break! And he was tight! His energy seems to be consistently at this high level. After his set, when he came back out, he asked the audience if they had questions they wanted to ask. I was so impressed! He took about 10 minutes just having a two-way conversation with the audience. It was in a proper theater, like he likes. A memorable night. His energy NEVER waned.
HAHA the entire Seinfeld show is based on Jerry's irritability! Just listen to the stand up bits. (I love it)
"If your phone's dead, does it really matter if you're still alive" :D
The Phone battery talk is me. 😂
Uhhh, Jerry... Lane bumpers aren't new. They've been around for like, forty years.
I think he knows that. It's just a joke
Which means he never experienced them as a kid if he is 62.
I thought the same thing, but I think he's working on a bit (good idea though, all life is gutters is so true) and thats what we're seeing. I assume when its fully formed it wouldn't sound as clunky.
you must be fun at parties
He was building up for the joke...
Jerry will always be one of my favourites.
Just like in his show. Jerry Seinfeld cracks me up inside!
as soon as I heard his voice, I chuckled
I haven't gotten the chance to watch Seinfeld when it first came out (i was around 12), and only now I am finding time to watch a few episodes at night. I'm on Season 6, and I absolutely love his humour. I would giggle by myself at night and wake my friends and neighbors.
Never have I related to something so much in my life... I'm always simultaneously happy and irritated! 😄
That is so true about the battery life... haha... You have to leave places early to find a charger... such a funny observation!
dat fake laugh tho.... it's gotta stop (seriously now)
it's getting outta control
A serious handicap.
They do shows with fake laugh now because of lockdown and it's horrible. I think these people are used to that break when the fake laughs come out. Now it's not there we have lot awkward passes for no reason at all.
Totally agree, and when they have awkward pauses you realize that the show isn't that humorous at all..
Also when Fallon "laughs" he sounds like baby hyena out of breath
The phone's battery life is so true! Lol
Great stuff
I saw him yesterday in Montreal!
Jerry knows jimmy is fake but he's too satisfied with himself to care
Bingo!
Fallon is cringe
The Navy tie with the Grey Jacket is killing me
I don't know why but I was half-expecting a seinfeld stand-up introduction before the actual show 😂
Good segment.
Hey Jerry, that bumbers thing is from Boyhood. "Life doesn't give you bumpers."
Time to watch some seinfeld eps now
I am just like Jerry lmao
Such a youthful guy! I believe his almost lifelong practice of meditation is the biggest attributing factor! Laser sharp focus and calm. I saw him in Daytona, Florida 3 years ago. He is in his prime. I was blown away by the authentic, high energy. It was a very positive high frequency kind of energy. Not forced. It just pours out of him. One can see his evolution over the years. Just incredible. And I love that not only is he confident and happy and so smart and so successful, he displays no fake humility. He is about to act ashamed of it. He knows he is funny. It's great what it looks like for a person to fully accept themselves, love themselves and show what is like to have a really good relationship with oneself and be happy and not be full of themselves and conceited or fake humble. He doesn't have to be fake. It's a rarity. It's a good example to follow. He is down to earth and just an around good guy. He wants to feel good and make others feel good. He's a feel good kind of guy. And FUUUNNNNYYYY
I thought about the scene in Boyhood. "I wish we could use the bumpers." "You don't wan't the bumpers, life doesn't give you bumpers."
Will Jerry Seinfeld do anymore standup specials because I would love to see it.
These bits are gold, Jerry!
theyve had those in bowling alleys for years now lol first time to take his kids bowling
The cool thing about the bumpers is you can bowl like you're shooting pool. And with enough top spin you can still get your ball into the next lane. Listen up kids, you only have to do that twice before your parents will move you to a regular lane...
Wouldn't a third gutter be in the middle make it easier to get a strike?
Damn you smart
Jerry rockin the Brandon Walsh sideburns. Nice.
I listened to this while staring at a picture of Barry B Benson
id love to go to new york one day but id be a little paranoid i feel such a busy place would be more then likely attacked again or even chicago downtown you know... i know its a little stupid to be paranoid like that. but id still love to go there for a week one day just to see what its all about
When im at 19% I feel weak. Hahaha!
jimmy is the most authentic laugher ive ever seen
I hope you're being serious because it's true. All of his laughs are genuine. He's one of those people, like me, that pretty much will find everything funny.
George Daugherty what? Fake as hell
Everytime I hear Jerry Seinfield talk, it reminds me of Barry Benson from Bee Movie.
I know I think they're related
*seinfeld theme starts playing*
A Psychologist once told me depression in men can appear as (persistent) irritability.
bring seinfeld back 2016
Fuck you and him
+Julian Alvelo fuck you and you
+Agent Orange he get iPad so he play candy crush
vaporwave drink
He did!
Its funny to hear millionaires talk about the gutters of life....
*edit*
I assume everyone who liked the post got what i was saying but for those who seemed to have missed the point read on.
The bowling lane is your life.
The pins represent your success, happiness, quality of life & so on.
Everyone who lives in a 1st world country (usa,uk so on) has lived there life with the bumpers out. Sure some of you might bounce off a few times but atleast you still get to knock a pin or 2 over. The lucky ones bounce off & get a strike (jerry) or don't even go near the bumpers!
People who live in 3rd world countries don't get bumpers in there bowling lane life & once your ball is in the gutter it doesn't hit any pins. Refugees would be the lucky balls that roll all the way on the edge without bumpers and get to knock a pin down.
End of the day it was a funny interview and i like jerry hence watching it in the first place.
Most of these 'millionaires' worked for what they've got just like normal people, so...
Lmao
I never judge people by their wealth, poor or rich.
they were not born with a silver spoon in their mouth they earned it with hardwork
K id
EXACTLY!
Damn i love this dude .... I like watching seinfield sometimes when its on tv .... And i love jerry too
always hated those gutter bumpers at parties i got invited to as a kid.
A lot of times the bars over the gutters are for disabled people, not really children. My grandma used to work with a group of them and I'd go bowling with them a lot. They would have the bars up, especially for the ones in wheelchairs :)
That's a solid bit!
Every time he says "every time you go to..." I think he's gonna start a stand-up show for some reason.
I'd be happy with three quarters of a billion in the bank. lol
yessss i was betting he'd say something super outdated.... and there we go.
How old is this joke Jerry? Love ya, having said that...
No one:
Jimmy Fallon: LOLOLOLOLOLOL
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Seinfeld ..... just is ... Jerry. The Show was, still is Jerry. His stand up and interviews are still just Jerry. So glad some things Never change!
That phone joke hit hard for me.. my phone just died like 30 min ago! Like literally.. DEAD. not even restarting! NOTHING! I already feel dead myself X(
How far back do you have to go to find a clip where Jimmy isn't hungover?
we never had gutter guards and I shattered my hand at 4 bc we bowled like champs. had reconstruction surgery at 4
Larry and Jerry looove to talk about their own personality. They light up when someone comments or asks them about their personality. Isn't this a thing most get over around 3rd grade? The car show is fun because it's not all about this 80s woody allen thing that Jerry and Larry never grew out of. We get it, you like your own choices and quirks.
Jerry is still one of the best. 😂
Jerry Seinfeld....my favorite!
All I hear is Barry benson
When your life was just your life?....YAAAAAASSSS
The bowling alley joke lol!!! That's how Donald trump decided he could become president!
I wouldn’t want Jerry to be my boyfriend, parent, husband or even friend. But Goooood i love him so much it doesn’t make any sense 🤯
You like jazz?
Best comedian ever....and that says helluva lot :)
SEINFELD 4 LIFE!!!!
So true.😂
Where's Jason derulo's performance at?! 😭😫
I love how he doesn't know what gutters are lol
Gutterless lanes have been around for a long time though.
Yep. Literally decades.
Omg so much truth came out of Seinfeld here. Especially about the phones and batteries.
Odd to read any comments confused by or disappointed in this interview. Guys, this is the format for standup comedy on the late shows--it's not a real interview. Everybody knows that. They used to stand over there, now they sit down on the couch, and the host plays through a hypothetical conversation setting the comic up for his jokes. It's been the standard since the 90s at the latest. They're not actually just catching up with each other on television.
I watched him at the Beacon Theater in April, he made the same phone battery joke
Does Jerry go to your job and post yellow sticky notes outside your cubicle and reveal stuff about you?
Comedians don't just tell a joke once kid. They use the bit for quite some time. For years sometime.
+TheLoveThief I'm at least legally not a kid, secondly I didn't say it was necessarily a bad thing. When I watched him at the Beacon, I recognized some of the jokes he made during Seinfeld the series and it got me a bit nostalgic which I quite appreciated

The joke came up naturally in this conversation... He had to make that joke lol.
I miss him so much. A great person. Helped me many times in Seinfeld. Jerry, Thank you for you everything.
He's not dead, bro.
Jerry Seinfeld. Watch his CLIO acceptance speech. Awesome.
These jokes are all from his stand-up tour right now
We LOVE Jerry Seinfeld!!
Yes, I agree with Mr. Seinfeld, we need a third gutter right in the middle of the bowling lane. First time I went bowling, every ball went in the gutter and I turned out fine... and I didn't use that stupid training thing...( I don't know what it's called)
He's never heard of bumpers in a bowling alley??
More and more I think Larry David is actually playing jerry in curb your enthusiam
Surprised he doesn't have a bowling alley in his house considering he's got 900 mil. in the bank.
Jerry Seinfeld is 20 years older than Jimmy Fallon.... let that sink in..
Why? They look about 20 years apart.
I thought he didn't like to do pre-interviews, well I guess i was wrong...
Thats because fallons show is so heavily scripted that unfunny hacks like Jerry get to feel accommodated and never put outside their comfort zone.
Comedy fucking gold
I'm just like Jerry lol
Well if my phone is dead my parents and my sister all immediately assume that I must be dead somewhere too so I guess he's got a point
he wasn't fake laughing he was freaking the fuck out lmao
I don’t think he’d have an act if he wasn’t irritable 😂 That’s his whole act!
Life is just one gutter ball after another kids..... get used to it.
i want a new special from him
Ikr Seinfeld IKR
"What is bugging you recently"
"Uh, I don't know..."
*Jimmy laughs at nothing*
"Well..."
Why'd you have to tell Hugh jackman to quit huh
When your super famous guest is obviously doing his act. At least it's new material :) ... I love Seinfeld btw...
I love Jerry even if he is an a hole= Seinfeld= Best sitcom ever. And at least Jerry is one of the few celebs who has been married a long time.
Not sure if he is an asshole really. More so that he is not pretending to be something he is not, even if he is a star.
Looks like Fallon snorted an extra line of nose candy on that day.
