That's nice to hear Bruce. Friends for 41 years now, but with very different personalities and approaches to life. Our bond is based on our shared interest in music and our respect for each other's skills, which we still find mutually inspiring. Thanks for listening and commenting!
One of our all time favorites as well Gary! Thanks for listening and commenting - we're delighted you enjoyed our rendition as much as we enjoyed playing it!
Thanks Peo and sorry we took a while to post this one! We've been busy with a Christmas recording and gig in December and have dedicated the time immediately after that to setting up the technical side of live streaming, with a view to performing on one of the platforms. The recorded results of our efforts can be seen on our Facebook page.
Hi Kundan, thanks for subscribing and thanks for the compliment! The original bass part is indeed another one of Bill Wyman's masterpieces. His bass doesn't come in until the chorus, but in our arrangement the bass also plays the Brian Jones marimba part in the verses and the intro. We've arranged Under My Thumb and Sunny Afternoon in a similar way, where the bass plays the theme as well as providing the foundation, if you fancy having a listen.
We are indeed real, all our videos are of us playing live in our attic studio, just as we would on stage. Great to hear from you in India - sending you love right back from the Netherlands 😊.
@@TheTickets no haha, i just thought some sort of third link was replying to me. also may i ask for some bands/artists recommendations, that i might not have heard of. Thanks in adv.
Our favourite bands are (predictably) Sixties acts (plus a few Fifties). I'm not sure what you have or haven't heard of, but if you look at the repertoire page on our website www.thetickets.nl/repertoire-2/ you'll see all the artists that we cover. The originals should be easy to find from there. - Nigel
You're welcome Clive and thanks for listening and responding - it makes all the difference to know there is an audience out there who appreciate what we do!
Hey Luke, thanks for your prompt and supportive reply! You may be interested to know that I've edited this video (and the previous one - Blue Christmas) in Shotcut, after I'd watched your excellent tutorial. I left a comment on your channel, but I'm not sure it reached you - Nigel
@@TheTickets Nigel - that's so cool that you did the video editing with Shotcut, and that you checked out my tutorial! Thanks for letting met know! I can't seem to find the comment, from The Tickets, but I appreciate it. 😁 Great work overall - vocals, instruments, audio production, and video editing! 🎸🎵🤙😁
This is very groovy, nice and sweet. But in this song you must let go! It requires a profound telling her she fails! The way you do it, it’s like someone singing Hound Dog like a ballad. 🎶you ain’t nothin but a hound dog, my previous little thing, just crying all the time.
Groovy is definitely what we went for here. When we gave Under My Thumb from the same Aftermath album our acoustic treatment, it also proved to be popular with many of our viewers. We always aim to sound like ourselves, performing our interpretation of these great songs on acoustic instruments, rather than trying to be a copy of the original. Having said that, we appreciate your comment on letting go, which is much easier to do when playing to a responsive live audience than it is performing to an empty room. Thanks for listening and commenting!
Well my 2 cents. You can't kill a good song and I enjoyed it...BUT !!!!!.....I agree this is an angry aggressive message to the girl that screwed up. Elevator mood doesn't deliver as it was meant. In that, you did it well but I'd be downing my steak with this in the background instead of grabbing my emotional attention...know what I mean? But if you have an appreciative audience...G'bless, another flavor.
Hi Pri, we've been making music together for almost 41 years now. We certainly hope that we're not "Out Of Time" yet! Thanks for listening and commenting.
Hi Tom, so glad you enjoyed it! I don't have bass tabs or any other form of notation for any of the parts that I play. I do however spend a considerable amount of time experimenting and arranging before I get what I'm looking for. After that they kind of flow out of my head consistently as if they were written down. It is an interesting question though, and one that I'm getting more and more, so I'll give some thought to how I can share with you which I'm happy to do - Nigel
Hi guys, this is one of my favourite songs of all time, do you guys do gigs? I'm from the UK and would love to come and see you fellows perform. What an amazing cover, it was jaw dropping and I wish you both well in your careers. Thank you again for an amazing cover gentleman ❤
Hi Jay, thanks for the inspiring message and the generous compliment ❤! We have a couple of local (NL) public gigs coming up on the 15th and the 28th of May. More info on our website www.thetickets.nl/ and on our Facebook page facebook.com/thetickets.nl.
Hi Sven, so glad you enjoyed our version of Out Of Time! Thanks for listening and we'll take your comments on board, bearing in mind that it's the bass that's playing the intro and solo theme here.
Hi @blackdogHH, happy that you spotted that because it's not meant to be a Stones imitation. We've also taken elements from the very popular Chris Farlowe version and slotted it all into our own duo style arrangement, which makes use of the instrumentation and vocal harmonies we have at our disposal. Thanks for listening and alerting us to the fact that the description needs updating to point this out!
Great job. Takes me back 50 years, as a teenager listening to the After-Math album on a lo-fi Philips record player.
Thanks Bert, also takes us back to those times! (I still have my lo-fi Philips portable record player 😁)
Great stuff gents! ❤
Hi Jimmy, so glad you enjoyed it and thanks for letting us know!

It's amazing how you can pmay three instruments at time 0:
With just the two of us we kind of have to multitask to get credible renditions of these wonderful Sixties classics. It is fun though! 😊
