As someone who used to stress test those blocks in the factory, I get scared every time I see you under that chassis as the structural strength is only there when they are laid horizontally - there is a real, very real risk of collapse using them on the upright......
I'm watching don't like to jump ahead. Why didn't you get the engine fired up so you knew the situation before tearing down? It may become clearer further down the track! Great job very thorough!! I've got a 75 model sitting on a property waiting!

I found the wheels on Craigslist. I had them media blasted and powder coated.
