I want to unerstand how the app accesses the camera. AFAIK the app does NOT access the camera directly through the network perimeter device (home router/modem) which it is installed in. Rather, the app accesses a global internet web cache or cloud which the camera continuously uploads. Am I right?
*Useless dont buy this camera... I got 2 of these camera, sumtime they record, sumtime they dont record to sd card. And they dont have ONVIF or RTSP features... You're stuck with Mi Home app. They have VERY BAD night vision too. Two big advantages are Wide Angle Lens & WaterProof.*
The thing that annoys me is: You check to receive notifications only for persons. It always recognises the person first as green (motion) and then orange (as person), but since it caught green first, you are not get notified. If you place the the camera outside, if it notifies motion+person, you will be notified all the time by leaves.

Can't you run the app on the background so you can receive notifications?
Don't upgrade frimware.
You need firmware 4.0.9_0142. It solves the recording problem!
Got 6 of this câmeras. All are se nding automátic notifications Wien triggered. Só i think in your case was a bug on firmware.

It will detect any motion once its set up so, yes vehicles.

how many hours can it record on 32gb
Hi, for 1080p@25fps, a 32gb sd card can record about 40 hours non-stop. For 1080p@20fps,a 32GB micro SD card can record about 3 days non-stop.
Useless! Does not record to SD card! The recording cannot be viewed in the phone app! Just good for decoration!
