The #1 thing I've learned from these videos: if your clean outs aren't below floor level, build a concrete containment dam around them first thing before moving in!
Lordy.. a crabapple on your butt... not a good thing. You were professional all the way through, and commend you for it. BTW love the curls in your hair. lol!! Yes, I'm an old woman and can appreciate things like that. Have a great week!!!

Lots of grease in that pipe. Straight cooking oil which solidifies and causes the blockage. The U trap does its job separating the grease from the main sewer system.
Someone once told me they pour grease down the drain but their mother taught them how to do it the right way, grease chased by boiling water... Yeah it don't work...
A pair of channel locks not just a hammer and screwdriver wood come in handy. Not very expensive $17 . If you would have cleaned the trap first you wouldn’t have made such a mess in this guy’s basement floor.
Hammer and screwdriver is probably the most important tools for drainage. I’ve got multiple sets of manhole keys, all different shapes and sizes but get most lids up with hammer and screwdriver
So I understand that the clog is mostly grease, but what are the people in the house doing that causes all that grease? A lot of deep frying and then dumping the used cooking oil down the kitchen sink? Something like that? What should you do with grease from the kitchen?

because they still pay? early n time or late by the whole month+ I learned rentals as a kid working on my friends Mom's junk ;) and I do mean as as kid! non caught fire, nor burnt down, it was all inspected and passed. if you cannot do it safely, DO NOT do it or go learn under someone else ;)
Out of interest: what kind of food can you make, that creates so much fat/oils leftover? And how do you normally get rid of it.. im guessing "just let it cool down (so it "solidifies") and then toss it in the regular "bio waste" container :p
Yuck! Thought I was gonna gag when I saw that fountain & then when you showed a close up, it was just about too much. I figured it smelled to high heaven. I would have been hacking.
I would love a job like this, my only issue is I like everything to go to plan and I know sometimes you can't unblock unless you have serious machinery or replace the pipes lol ever thought off getting a "Wet & Dry Vac"? Could have sucked the majority of that grease up and the excess water before it spread everywhere saving time and possibly damage to the guys basement.
Gas detectors are typically unnecessary doing home drain cleaning, they become necessary when you enter into confined, closed spaces where the gas has nowhere to dissipate, and there is ALOT of it - i.e trunk and interceptor sewers in the street.

Old man steady bashing his renter, you kept telling him the drain serviced the whole house but I don’t think he wanted to hear that. Great job.💚💚
No doubt. What a douche. He must be a blast to rent from.
I thought i saw some corn float by where is ratty & drain crew when u need them lol 😂

I'm a Drain Addict fan too. Oliie doesn't bring the drain gang along much anymore. Just Ratty and his kids these days.
Love to see the water jet if they decide to clean out all the grease. Another great video!
That is a lot grease, I use an gallon container for my grease. Also the snake really breaks a lot of stuff in the pipes. Awesome video 👍✌
Definitely a lot! Thanks
My building here in NYC now has collection for recycling. I save it up and then bring it downstairs, and it gets recycled eventually!
Omg that man put you in an awkward spot. You handled it like the professional that you are. 👍🏻 good job sweetie.

Good grief that's a lot of grease!! That's what it looks like when a tenant doesn't know to NOT PUT GREASE DOWN THE SINK... 😂

The old guy is the best, just too funny.
Looks like the house trap was still blocked when you tried clearing the blockage upstream
The more I snaked, the more huge chunks of grease kept blocking it up, over and over
That landlord/property manager really had it out for the people on the third floor. Guessing it is a three family house and he lives in the middle 😂😂
@Ashu sahotra arts I'll check it out but it is bad practice to advert in someone's comment section without their permission

Very good job pipe cleaning
That’s a perfect job for a flexshaft machine. Bust up that grease while running the water.

Making bacon every morning😂 wait for the grease to cool and throw it in the trash
You got it! Instead of pouring it down the drain they should pour it in a old milk or detergent container and toss it in the trash 🗑🤔

oh lord! watching video, times that grease-splosion within less than 1/2 second :)))
Jesus, someone is running a commercial kitchen out of their house. I can imagine that trap was like concrete.
I think that landlord needs to install a grease trap.
😆 🤣
Better call Sal
If your tenant is costing you too much money, raise the rent. That was a good one NYD!
Thanks
raising the rent in NYC lmao. to what? one kidney a week ?
I thought I heard him say he wasn't even paying the rent or he is badly behind paying. I could b wrong.
THAT is a nice fiber optic NIT
What is a beautiful device like that doing in a rat trap place like this ?
the machine is so clean
Grease coffee grounds and baby whips.the main things that clog up drains
That son of a bitch tenant has been whipping babies too?
Any followup waterjet footage?
None yet.
Will they ever make caps that don't disintegrate like that or get seized up?
What a mess. Cant wait to see the water jetting when they decide to do it.
Love the channel just subscribed... Wish your other vids were longer.

So surely that cost more than $49 to clear. In Atlanta GA I’d charge $600-$700 for that with a Bio-Clean and RootX treatment.
Its 49.99 per drain so up is 1 out is another plus exrra for the root stuff & the other stuff or thats hoe he explained in one vid
What the hell they throwing in there ? Grease ! Is it toilet paper ? Grease !
Lol

No corn for Ratty. After a good water jet treatment it will be "all good" .

Yes it is

If you watched the entire video you would see that's what I did! 🤔
