Hi there! I just wanted to say thank you. Life has been really hard lately, but watching these videos makes me content and calm. As someone who knits, crochets, and sews, I love seeing something artistic and beautiful being created out of raw materials! Thank you for not promoting companies within your videos, and not making the videos about you, versus the craft (like other woodturners). I always look forward to your next video.

That was freaking amazing, as I could not even envision what it was going to look like when done, until you had finished. WOW! ...and that was a pretty ingenious trick with the Duct Tape to get the little square cubes to stay in place where you could glue them in exactly where you wanted them with minimal (if any) mess. WOW! Can't wait to see what comes next.

I love the checkah-checkah sound when you start turning the raw piece.
The German word „drechseln“ for woodturning captures this perfectly.
And I love it when the sound changes into a soft chchchchchchch when it gets smoother. It is extremely satisfying.
And of course the result is amazing. Such a cool and minimalistic design.

Yay - managed to use one of your pieces for inspiration rather than just my usual mediocre copy 🙂
Did one with 2cm dowel segments end on instead of the square blocks so got some interesting resin shapes. It did occur it a bit late in the day that there wasn't a lot of glue contact holding the two halves together but I put a glue block across both with a faceplate and did a foot in compression on the base and it all held together which was a win! Might try rhomboids next to get a bit more glue on!
    Thanks for the inspiration 👍

I know why it appears to be invisible. Sometimes though the frame rate at which a camera is recording can make things look different on playback to what you see with the naked eye in person.
