Woodturning - A Segmented Hybrid Vessel

- In this video I make a hybrid segmented vessel from Mahogany and Epoxy resin .. I finished the piece with sanding sealer/thinners mix and microcrystaline wax and polished the resin with Menzerna buffing compounds ..

A lovely little wooden vase!
As always, this is another masterful work of art, and based on just the few assembly details you showed, this must have actually taken you multiple days to complete. I also thought it was kind of cool to see how that resin string sort of re-wrapped itself around the vessel as you were turning it. I don't know how you do what you do, but I hope you never stop, because you make so many incredible pieces. Thanks for sharing.
That's amazing! The textured look of each individual piece of wood when light is on it is really cool. When I get a house someday I need to get into this hobby. Can't really wood turn in an apartment.

The chatoyance of the mahogany is beautiful. The mica powder in the resin complements the wood very nicely. Gorgeous!!
I like it when you have the view down the inside of the vessel. Mysteries unfold! Really, so often I watch and I don't have a clue what you're doing. But that's the beauty of it; I have to watch and see! Great day!

Andy, this felt more like something made on a potter's wheel then put in a kiln to bake with glaze than in a woodshop. It is said some people are right-brain and others are from the other side.
