The whole point of Prius in the western market is that it offers Toyota's known reliability and stellar fuel economy, but that entire appeal gets lost when looking at the price.
Let's say you buy a car for 10 million rupees that gives you an average of 10 km/l, if you drive that car for 200000 kilometres, it's gonna cost you 6 million, assuming the price of petrol is 300 rs constant. That's still cheaper than the 19 million this car costs lol
Exactly, people buy hybrid cars/variant senselessly. Take Haval for example.
30 lacs difference between hybrid and non hybrid variant. You can literally drive the car for 100000 kms for that difference.
But, few Pakistanis are dumb... So you can always resell your car for more than you bought it, and whatever you paid extra for hybrid variant is safe.
Edit: you can also invest the 30 lacs you saved by buying base haval, and get at least 10% per annum accounting to 3 lacs an year. Your 30 lacs are safe and can easily cover your fuel with still some amount left.

But consider this, if u drive this prius with a 30kmpl avg for 200,000kms keeping petrol at 300rs, it costs 2 million rs. While the car costs 19 million, u got the total package for 21 million and even if we don't take Pakistani factor of inflation in mind, the car would still sell for around 14 million atleast. So u get back 14 million while in ur case a car costing 10 million, consumes 6 million worth of petrol making total package around 16 million but after 200,000 kilometers, the car would be worth 6 or 5 million that means u loose 10 million in this case. Hence in summary in the long term, u get a good car in 19 million, although price is not justified but all cars are not worth the money in Pakistan right now but still buying a car that has such a good fuel average would be a better decision then buying a conventional car with 10-13 kmpl average. Mind we are still not keeping in view inflation of fuel and car prices in Pakistan. If I'm wrong do explain how
Your calculation is absolutely correct, but what happened practically is that you save on petrol for the time you drive the car and whenever you sell this car, you are going to get your 190 million back in Pakistan. so basically it's an excessive investment until you own a hybrid vehicle in comparison with a petrol or diesel vehicle.
In pakistan there's a higher custom, plus hybrid(all hybrids comes with a ton of other features as well) a feature not a normal fuel car don't forget the 1.8 litre engine that's equivalent to 1.8 Grande So Calculate the price accordingly its not just about fuel its about what the car offers and what its worth?
Selling at Rs. 19M?? That is around $70k. That's insane! It starts around $28k here in US.

The Prius will be feasible in Pakistan only if they are either manufactured in Pakistan or Government decides to lift duties on hybrid vehicles as a car worth USD 28-32k worldwide costs USD 60k in Pakistan just because of the fixed duties.
When the Preview only has to talk about "How better is its head unit in voice calls" Then you can imagine the quality of a Review of a car.
Apart from that, I had mentioned earlier, and I am saying it now again... Don't call it an "Owner or User Review" it's only a promotional video for dealer or a seller....
u r right, Automax dealer Johar town ki promotin hai.pajwheels ki trah is k owner ko bhi kuch pta nahi. I visited 2 days ago I asked for ambient light in it, he replied wo is gerearation main nahi aati, after market lagwai hongee kisi ne. and I was surprised as it's top line models come with ambient lights. ye haal hai in dealeron ka. bongay. pakwheels bhi over hota ja rha. its time for a good car review platform to step in.

There should be hybrid technology conversion kit option for conventional cars in near future (cvti transmission or preferably for any transmission type which is compatible).
This is a very compelling car for someone who wants a sensible reliable stylish fun car.

A person who’d buy this car at 19M wouldn’t be concerned about its fuel economy figures or going green. Yes, it looks good, but it’d only please buyers of interest, so mentioning how economical it is, is futile.
There are plenty of used old gen-hybrids that could fill this criteria, without having to pay this exorbitant amount. Just saying.

Suneel Munchkin is not reviewer he is advertizer for big auto - loag 20M ki gari le len to bhi meri 2m ki honda city se muqabla nhi krwa sakte because of local usage, agr USA mein hotay aur $$ mein income hoti to obv kon dekhta hai price phr to shashkay he chalenge.
